I'll pass, it doesn't look to be full frame and I really need that shallow DOF. I do like the built in light and multiple lenses though.

Since 1080 looks like 720p on a ML Free 5D this shouldn't be much of an issue.

They'll be demoing it here in Baltimore this week. I wouldn't mind taking a look.

I'm still debating which Speedbooster to get for my GH4. I have good Canon FD and some Nikon glass, but I'm not sure I want to use either of these options boosted. I'm leaning Nikon, but if an EF booster comes along I may sell a bunch of lenses and go that way. Like Ben Corwin said, I'll wait it out a bit longer.

it does have color adjustment, not sure about intensity.

what andy said.... haha

I've only been playing with my new GH4 for at most an hour now. Focus peaking works well, and during recording. It could be a bit more sensitive, but I'm going to get a heck of a lot of use out of it. I think it works even better when you set your EVF to monochrome since the color peaking stands out better. I don't have a BMPC so I can't compare the two.

I am thinking about this lens as well, in nikon format since I already have the excellent 85mm f/1.4. Keep us updated on how your 10mm is working, I'd love to hear about how it works.

It is really strange isn't it? I have the same problems sometimes. -

The .RW2 files open if you change the file to GH2 as well. I think most people believed the GH2 sensor was from Panasonic, so I don't think changing Exif data proves the sensor one way or another. -
Panasonic GH4 to ship in Europe from 5th May

I sprung for the kingston 64GB U3 card myself. should be here before the camera. If others find the transcend works well I'll be getting one of those as well. 200mb/s Intraframe will eat up space. -

Is it confirmed to be the same sony sensor? I thought it was based on the gx7 sensor which is supposedly a panasonic design. -

I think the person who posted this video is doing a great service to all those who don't know about this, and for those who see the issue and think the clipped highlights are just the way the GH4 looks. -
Nikon D800 hacked with 50Mbit/s high bitrate video option

it really is a wonderful stills camera, I just can't get that excited about it for video. I've moved on. -
Panasonic GH4 firmware goes final and shipping soon?
johnnymossville replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
So it looks like Panasonic will be hitting it's shipping date of the 24th then. I hope they made enough. I remember how hard it was to come by a GH2 when they came out. It was agonizing. -

Andrew, how are you controlling the iris on these Sigma's? oops, nevermind, the metabones has aperture control. Nice! -
I'm going to have to go look at it. I didn't know Best Buy had them in stock.

This explains all the slow moving and locked down shots in all that beautiful footage we've seen so far. I guess they didn't want to let the cat outta the bag too early. I can't help feeling this is nothing more than a bridge camera to something far better coming soon from Sony. It's not really 4k, but it is,... it's great in low light, but it's processing power isn't good enough to control the rolling shutter. Maybe next year though.

That's not rolling, that's twisting. They outta see if Chubby Checker music is available for the tv commercials.

Leica S medium format camera to feature 4K video
johnnymossville replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Ptui to those tiny sensered full frame 5D's and A7S's! Seriously though, I imagine you could build a truly low-light monster out of one of these. It'll be interesting to see how good they are at 4k. -
I think another option would be to overlay a layer of 16 bit color, maybe a dithered 16 bit vignette created in photoshop, to the 4k file to increase it color depth and cover those areas of the image that have one one 8 bit color. Render that out in 444. Then down sample/size to 2k. Actually add color to the 8bit 4k file manually. If that makes sense.
