I find the footage very nice to work with. Just a light touch on it and I'm loving what I see. Can't wait to get my new GH4! -

Here's my take on the Andy shot. Simple white balance correction and some minor adjustment of the master levels. -
Canon 4K refresh - C200 and C400 coming at NAB?
johnnymossville replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
A C200 with a prores codec would be a beautiful thing indeed. Will the price will be that "entry level" though? I expect it will be similarly priced to the current C100 if not slightly more. Of course, entry level is all relative isn't it? It looks as though Canon is really going to try to move dslr video shooters over into buying something from the C series. Can't say I blame them, they've got the dslr market pretty well covered as far as dominating sales. -
wow that actually looks like something fun to carry around. Nice design Nikon.

I agree that being able to get prints from video is a great concept. I already do it with 2K footage, because some of my best photos are taken from times when I'm shooting video. 4K is going to be excellent for this. 8 megapixels is definitely enough for great prints. Is wasn't long ago that the best professional digital cameras available had less than that.

Nikon D5300 Review and why DSLRs are dead for video

I think this camera is for photographers. for that it's not bad at all. Personally, I'm heading to GH4 land. My GH2 will become my B cam. -
Hands-on preview of the powerful 4K shooting Panasonic GH4!
johnnymossville replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Excellent film Bryan. I really enjoyed the street scenes. That shot of the cars rolling down the street is almost surreal from an image quality standpoint. just beautifully done. The time-lapse at the end with the stars over the temple? could you share which lens you used for this? As far as this camera. It looks like my investment in MFT since the GH2 came out has paid off handsomely and will continue to do so. Now I might be leaning towards investing in more panasonic glass to take advantage of some of the new AF features of this camera. An external recorder for when I need ultimate quality might be needed as well. A speed booster with my manual nikon glass is in the cards too. Great first look Andrew, I'm actually excited about a new camera again! This hasn't happened since the GH2 came out. -

@EOSHD I took a look at that comparison and almost blew Pepsi out of my nose laughing so hard. I think they are on crack. -

The demo of the autofocus on the 70D I've seen looks really good, but I was expecting more from the image quality. I'll be hanging on to my GH2 awhile longer, thanks Canon. -
I know that here in the USA there are still quite a few small independent theaters willing to take chances on small creative films. Many towns/cities have one or two. Upstream Color was shown mostly in these kinds of theaters and people who are into movies have a way of finding them. I think Spielberg and Lucas should start spending some of THEIR OWN money in the way Shane Carruth did and let's see what they do creatively.
