    I saw the rumor and thought it was absolutely ridiculous, but I guess people will still dream of the impossible. I'm not even sure the next Gen Olympus will get 4k.

    I really want a 4k monitor and a 4k TV now that I have my GH4, but the reality is I think we are a year away from really good options at decent prices, especially for 4k computer monitors.

    I can't go back to optical viewfinders. I think even a mediocre EVF is better than an optical viewfinder. hey I could be convinced otherwise, but that's my opinion for now. shooting video without an EVF on a bright day is misery.

    The problem is mostly chalked up to 8bit. You really picked a really tough shot to shoot right there didn't you?

    the 12-35 and 35-100 panasonic lenses would be right at the top of my list if I was looking for lenses right now. Rented the 35-100 and it was actually painful to send it back.

    I think the GH4 would make a great stock footage camera. Weather Sealed, Small, 4k, High Quality, Full Featured, Relatively Inexpensive.... You can achieve pretty much any look you want with it.

    Sounds like Sony is so close with this camera. Exciting times indeed. I know it's a sony article, but your last sentence is what I'm looking for most. If Panasonic would make a 12megapixel sensor it's low light capability could be improved, along with the fast sensor readouts, internal 4k, and heat shielding work Panasonic has done. This would be an ideal camera for me.

    GH4 slomo is about as soft as 5DMIII 1080 out of the box. I'd use it commercially.

    1DC just seems a bit silly next to the A7S. it's obsolete. Sure, the A7S has weird color out of the box (fixable in post), and bad RS, but it's looking to the future, the 1DC's price puts it in the past.

    The OIS is good for this long of a focal length. In FF numbers. I really think this is one of those must have lenses if you make a living with the camera, or even a part time living with the camera.

    I also rented that lens and agree. The 35-100 with fast AF and great OIS is a must have. I need a couple more projects to swing it though.

    on the plus side, I bet slo moving interviews shot in the dark of night with no lights will look fantastic. OK I'm being sarcastic. forgive me.

    Holy Rolling Shutter Batman. The A7S doesn't fare well even in 1080 in that dvxuser forum thread. I wonder if 4k will be even worse.

    Personally I haven't had much luck with Cinelike D yet. Standard, Natural and Cinelike V are nice so I'm sorta hiding there for now.
