I think it's just stuck at f/1.4 not fixed by design.

I've seen that Panovista early before the seller posted it on eBay. I'll email that guy if he could do some tests. I've emailed the guy who sent me the photos of the lens, he said the owner has no camera to test it. There would be a lot of distortion though.

The best thing I like about this lens is that it's soooooooooooooo sharp at T/1.4! The distortion is not so bad to my eyes. I've tried some Lomo 35mm SF lenses and they are about the same.

Got this boy for a quite sometime but couldn't have a chance to test it out. The spherical glass inside is Carl Zeiss Distagon 35mm T/1.4. Here are some screen grabs captured with Panasonic GH2 camera. Last month I have an offer on a 50mm lomo squarefront anamorphic lens in OCT18 mount for $2000 I thought it was a bit expensive so I passed. A few days ago I found a listing with that exactly same lens for $3700 on eBay. Hmm... seriously?

Dima Turaev (dimaturaev at gmail) based in Russia. He does lens mount conversion. Price varies from $350-$500 and $150-$200 for 32 pitch arri gear ring. I don't have personal experience with him but his works look nice.

I think I have a front cap for the 50m. Not sure where it is. It came with 80mm SF I bought a year ago and it won't fit the 80mm so I guess it's for the 50mm. Anyway, prices of LOMO Anamorphic lenses are raising a lot!

Love that breathing! I know that some LOMO anamorphic lenses are very sharp after servicing. Too bad it takes a lot of afford for doing that!
