  1. Its not done yet.. we can still hope for a video-centric Z in 2020 ?
  2. Nikon destroyed our large 16:9 screen, and its an indication to not hold our breath for video spec.. but still shooters love what they're seeing.
  3. Its also true about Canon.
  4. They better first fix the burn in issue and increase the brightness.
  5. Only 4 days to the announcement and we know absolutely nothing about the video.. its a bit suspicious.

    Elon Musk

That is even more infeasible than electric.
  7. AF-On and joystick are too close to each other
  8. Sony overall ILC marketshare is still %13. The same number they achieved when they were in DSLR/SLT business. in APS-C, despite all the tech buzz, Canon hammered them with a lazy EOS-M effort. Same will happen to FF when Canon releases its mirrorless dragons. And I say this as a Nikon guy.
  9. Plus adding 8TB every year is and will be cheaper. Electricity bill included.
  10. Storage is cheap, but transferring is not, because it takes time, and time is pure gold in Olympics.
  11. Sport shooters (especially those in Olympics) deal with massive number of image files.. they're not asking for higher resolution, which means bigger files.
  12. Hope that massive screen area is not wasted by massive bezels.
  13. Yes, to get 24mm in 4k you need something like Tokina 11-16mm. But I don't want to buy another F mount third party lens.. the last one I got was Sigma Art 135mm cause I couldn't resist its insane sharpness.
  14. 24mm equivalent is the widest I need, so its not such a deal breaker for me.. found a used 17-35 and it shines on DX. 18-35 is also good for people who don't need f/2.8, and the crop hides those messy distortions this lens make on FX. Its cheap, sharp, and underrated. Body gets hot quickly while recording, in any resolution/frame rate. So I think its caused by the processor, not the sensor. Hope Nikon use a more efficient one on its upcoming mirrorless. Not that it has made a problem so far, but I get nervous fearing something bad happen in there ? I also tried 18-55 AF-P. God, Nikon's fly by wire focus ring is best in the world in feeling, and its just a kit lens. Expect amazing experience from their Z mount lenses.
  15. I don't use fake bokeh effect, and most of the time I use my phone's camera just for documentation, not taking memorable photos. and I also don't play game, and when I do, I play 2D ones. What Note 9 does for me that my current smartphone can't? Nothing.
  16. Here is frame from 4k file with D7500 (which has a heavy crop) And %100 crop. Remember mini star? ?
  17. This cheap lens discontinued two decades ago, a lens that even Ken put that in Nikon 10 worst lenses list! I put this on D7500, an almost 6k DX sensor, equivalent to 8k FF sensor, and resolution was pretty good. Sure you find many optical shortcomings in these things, but thats not all because they are old! They're designed for film, which has a slight curve, not for perfectly flat digital sensors, so corners are softer that what they looked in 1980. AND they're designed to be compact, suitable for FM2 style cameras. when you prioritize the size, you have to make compromise in optics.
  18. I'm pretty sure %99 of Nikon lenses out there outresolve 8 megapixel ?
  19. If the adapter works flawlessly, they don't have to be in a "rush hour" in lens making. They are ready to release a ridiculously compact 500mm f/5.6 for the F mount. I bet they have already made its AF motor mirrorless-compatible. This is also true about Canon (they even want to release a EF mirrorless, which won't have the lack of lens issue at all). Besides, unlike Sony, Nikon and Canon and Sigma, have full control on the whole glass process. Though the capacity is not very stretchable, they been doin this business from A to Z, for decades. So if they really want to deliver a dozen new lenses in a relatively short time, they can. Don't expect Canikon accepting help from third parties as Sony did. That's embarrassing for these two big guys that calling themselves Optics company!
  20. I was thinking about the complexity of our visual system that recognizes such small differentiations without any chart.
  21. 9 of them wil be Sigma Art. IF they can reverse engineer the Z.
  22. This huge mount begs for a Cine lens line up.. Nikon won't spend money on that.. hope Samyang and Zeiss do it.
  23. A square sensor costs a lot more.. we cant expect that from a trillion dollar company .. you know ?
  24. They're so "humble" that intimidate reviewers https://petapixel.com/2018/08/01/my-drama-with-hasselblad-bullying-and-their-latest-comparisons/
