It might be politically incorrect opinion here but 90 percent of scenes we tend to shoot need just 9 stop of DR, or less :-)

Its not a rumor, its just clickbait BS. Nikon didn't even share a bit of F mount protocol with them that resulted horrible AF experience with almost any ART lens. They're too far from doing collaborative projects, let alone being friends. But Sigma will start reverse engineering the Z the first day the first Nikon mirrorless is available in the market. BTW, Nikon just filled a patent for mirrorless 14-28mm f/2.8 lens. I hope they deliver this one.

None of Canon mirrorless bodies have 4k, full read out or crop, and none of them have IBIS. But they're stealing market share from Sony, Olympus and Panasonic. What we perceive as a successful product could be very different from what the company managers see as successful. Anyway, at least we'll have a better-suited-for-FF mount. I post this in other forums and put it here too: Z mount has more than 6 degrees advantage over E mount. This let them, and third party lens makers, try some interesting optical designs. From insanely wide aperture to insanely wide focal length.

I guess they used their temporal noise reduction for still too. I mean camera keeps taking pictures even after you release the shutter button, but doesn't save them, just uses the data to clean the noise of the first frame.

These days being asshole is rewarded with popularity. Maybe that Japanese guy decided to end his life for this very reason, and accidentally proved his point after he died. I respect him.

Whatever pre-production mirrorless Nikon ambassadors are testing right now

before power-assisted steering, steering needed higher skill and more effort. now its easier and fun. we wouldn't have much of the tools we have today if we didn't try to bypass the traditional skills whats wrong with that? people are working to make autonomous fighter jets, helicopters, trucks and cars. a video camera is more complicated than those things? we dont even asked them to make it fully autonomous.. we just expect it to keep the damn subject in focus. good luck with that in metro stations.. or any public location.

Can you shoot the international space station with a Micro Four Thirds camera?

600mm on D7500 is equal to 900mm. 4k crop is 1.45, so its 1305mm. 2x crop for 1080p goes to 2600mm. -
This still image is taken at ISO 12800, 1/50s (same as needed for 25fps video) and f/5.6 so even if your camera is 2 stop worse than D750, you can use a f/2.8 lens and stay at ISO 3200 and get similar result.

you change/check setting while you are not looking through VF or LCD? why? I use both pro and entry level DSLRs and when I use the later, I never miss the top LCD.
-
everything you can read from top LCD, you can see through view finder, or rear LCD. its just make it "look pro", and thats it.
-
of course its better, but not taking-up-2.5x-more-storage-space better.

How you know people truly like it when people haven't seen a truly HDR TV? Most of HDR models support 10bit but are not significantly brighter than conventional TVs. They should be much brighter to make a wow.. and do it without skyrocketing the power bill. People liked 3D, but they didn't want to wear something to see the effect.

Tascams have a CAMERA OUT port, I haven't used them yet.. is it silly to mix with such a recorder and send to the DSLR? How it does affect quality?

Lol I take my word back.. apparently even full sensor readout can't eliminate alialiasing. Look at the reflection on the brush. A6500 has the sharpest and most detailed 4k image in their database, and yet there is this. Maybe something is wrong with DPR frame grab compression.
-
you cant get rid of aliasing without full sensor readout. but you can get the color right without full sensor readout

What's questionable about the mount? I don't like that Pentax style pins, but is there downsides with this design? Also they said 58mm diameter while looks smaller than EF mount.

I once worked on a simulation based on state of the art climate model when I was helping my sister for her master thesis. Had to study many things to figure out what's going on. And I was blown away by the magnitude of uncertainty we had to deal with. These people think they're the only ones who play with these toys.

Those two are relatively irrelevant, and most of Murdoch's Fox News audiences are middle aged. Look at traditional or modern content creators that target new generations, they're all lefties or pretend they are. Of course it does makes sense business wise, "every thing we've been doing since distant past is wrong" sells well. But over-consumption of these contents has made many people lose sanity.

Right. The next announcement should be A7III, not A7SIII.

Even 1 inch is not that small lol

If the patents they're filling is an indication, they will certainly go the Dual Pixel way. The big question is if they let it work with EF lenses. I think it will, with or without Nikon's help. BTW, that clock frame is lovely. Applied a quick effect in Snapseed and became even lovelier :-)

In reality your eye is way more precise that any peaking algorithm.
