EOSHD YouTube channel and Photokina/CineGear style shows online

Andrew, it would be amazing to have a GH2 vs GH3 vs GH4 vs GH5 Challenge, to see how much Panasonic had changed over the last few years. Plus maybe cover how Panasonic didn't do enough to advertise the GH2 as an Indie Film Marvel (Panasonic's advertising team is still pretty garbage, IMO), at a fraction of the cost of the 5Dii and many other mor expensive options. Even Panasonic's G7, GX85, G85 are so underrated too. Why they couldn't grab a larger film students and low budget indie filmmakers market share, is a testament to probably poor advertising. I agree. Even the Darkness Seeker ISO12800 GH2 video. The grain in that video was just insane. -
A smartphone with a 1/2 - 1 inch sensor + a M43 sensor, that shoots 12-bit compressed RAW video or ProRes, along with 4k at 120fps, does 24-48MP photos in 14-bit RAW, with 20fps burst photos, with modular accessories for recording 32-bit sound (dual sound on something the size of the InstaMic). It could be 3 times as thick as a present smartphone, but it should have a large battery, and physical buttons for manual operations (apart from a touchscreen). Also multiple mounting and transfer options.

Any particular reason it is 10-bit. I remember a lot of smaller sensors are 12-bit.
-
Perhaps their HDR photos compensate for this?
-
Very curious how easy or difficult it is to fly a drone in your country (laws, licenses and permissions).
-
It does seem to say that it has a few HDR modes. Hopefully, some of them are for video too. 34mins flight time(?), 68kms speed(?), and 10kms travel range(?).
-
It's too slow for a sensor of this size. It will have bad low light.
-
The f2.8 lens is a disappointment. Price and specs seem good otherwise.

Samsung is Aiming for 600MP Sensor, IR, UV, Multispectral
sanveer replied to androidlad's topic in Cameras
The only question is, at what rate will it do a complete sensor scan. How many frames at full res. Otherwise, without decent HDR, the photos may not be usable. Also, terra and nano pixels will reduce detail, to a noticeable extent. These could be for surveillance or reconnaissance work. Maybe as tiny spy drones. -
Please tell us it's more than this https://m.dpreview.com/news/4713396795/panasonic-announces-5-9k-prores-raw-video-for-lumix-dc-s1h

Hopefully we finally hear about the GH6. Not another S1 iteration (S1 8k 🤣). There's something very suspiciously quirky about an 8k Canon camera, which isn't just the price. It could be insane rolling shutter, or super overheating or a crop narrower than M43 or something nobody could have thought of. Maybe it has a 5 min recording limit. This just seems too good to be true. P.S.: I was going through some of the comments on dpreview and I almost died laughing. Maybe this is a Canon conspiracy. Sony and Panasonic could have mass resignations or layoffs regarding the sheer specs on this monster. And, maybe Canon is playing a joke on us, much like the 120MP sensor their announced, like 10 years back, which never saw the light of day. By the time Canon comes clean on a mis-timed April Fool's joke, (the Video) Mirrorless market would have probably shrunk to 1/3rd its size.
-
Whoa. Quite a bit. Someone in the Sony Alpha (A7s) division just submitted his resignation.
-
Hopefully R5 doesn't cost a kidney.

This is like a Panasonic S1H on steroids. It does RAW, and 4k at 120fps. And the 8k. I couldn't notice any fan vents, though Canon is rather secretive about the (final) design. The only question is what would the bitrate be? I am guessing it will cost over the S1H, perhaps $5000-6000.

I am guessing they are a newer generation (atleast 2 generations, I am guessing), of LED technology. That's why the power draw is substantially different. The Lupo outputs as much output, as lights which are much larger in size. The Aputure F7 is a comparable light (its RGB though). It's similar in size and beam angle (45° vs 40°). But the Aputure F7 outputs 1500 lx at a metre. And that has a power draw of 15 watts (as opposed to 20watts on the Lupo). It's not just the beam angle, the efficiency is actually highlighting a newer generation of LEDs. And this is the price of 2 large capacity batteries, along with a dual charging hub. https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-6600mAh-Replacement-Handycams-Feelworld/dp/B076M5LQC7/ref=sxin_9_ac_m_rm?ac_md=1-1-bnAgYmF0dGVyeQ%3D%3D-ac_d_rm&cv_ct_cx=Sony+NPF+battery&dchild=1&keywords=Sony+NPF+battery&pd_rd_i=B076M5LQC7&pd_rd_r=fba5927c-c582-43f1-8879-898943bbb3e1&pd_rd_w=c2qIb&pd_rd_wg=x7kxp&pf_rd_p=e3a499cf-9678-4595-82a4-3d742ce12b40&pf_rd_r=FEDYDDC7XX7R1ME7B5NG&psc=1&qid=1587328156&sr=1-2-87203c69-9404-44ba-aa52-290406ffe53a

The Lupo, is, surprisingly brighter. It also has higher CRI, arguably lasts longer (the Godox has 3 times the power draw, the Lupo uses NP-F-series batteries meaning that there are mmultiple capacity battery options (meaning you could go for hours on large capacity batteries), and is cheaper too $159 vs $349 (for the battery version of the Godox, the SLB60W). If the Godox is used with its fresnel attachment, it would be brighter. The Lupo is much smaller and lighter. https://www.adorama.com/goslb60w.html

Try the Lupo Smartpanel Dual Colour which outputs a staggering 5060 lx, at a metre. https://www.newsshooter.com/2020/04/10/lupo-smartpanel-dual-color-review/ I am guessing a few of these should be sufficient to light a small room well. If it were available here, I would have picked up a few of these. I also wish they had accessories (barn doors?).

The guys at Cinema5d tested the new Full Frame Canon C500 Mark ii, and ranked it for the highest dynamic range for any camera they've tested (at 13.1 Stops), apart from the Arri. https://***URL not allowed***/canon-c500-markii-lab-test-dynamic-range-latitude-rolling-shutter/ They've obviously not rested any of the REDs and many other cameras, and I also suspect that the Arri would have scored a hair under 14stops, but they didn't have the guts to release the score, fearing backlash. Also, people have been mocking their dynamic range tests, like everyone else (including that former BBC affiliated gentlemen who scored the GH5s at 14.7 stops). The S1H has the same sensor as the S1, which has a dynamic range of 14.5 stops in Stills mode (according to DXO mark, though not sure at what exact signal to noise ratio). Cinema5d calculated its dynamic range to be 12.7 stops for Video (different mode than stills, since it's for video, and 10-bit instead of 12-bit). So, if the Canon C500 Mark ii was a stills camera, in still mode, one could probably add another 1.8 stops (+/-), to get about 14.9 stops or so. Which means, that Canon seems to have caught up with Sony's Image Sensors and maybe even surpassed them (the C500 Markii also has Class Leading Rolling Shutter for a Full Frame sensor). Also, the ability to pull up an image from almost 5 stops of underexposure, is also probably class leading for a camera at that price point (and maybe many above). This probably means that the Canon R5 and other R Series cameras are also going to be extremely competitive for video as well as for stills. For the longest we've been ranting about Canon not having enough dynamic range, for stills or video, but I am guessing it's not just caught up with Sony, it's probably even beating it in many aspects. If Canon can price their R Series reasonably, and not do the old Canon trick of disabling features, it could pose a serious threat to Sony and everyone else around.

Don't bhai me. We're not on first name or casual pronouns. Cut out the chummy comraderie. You're definitely not Indian, maybe Pakistani. Maybe you should worry about Pakistan before sharing some fake concern about India. A collapsing economy, severe shortage of food, ome of the highest cases of Covid-19 and many other ailments each year per 1000 than most other countries, constant military and militant unrest, constant sectarian violence etc, the list is endless. India has a corrupt media, as does most of the world. In Pakistan, most of the media guys are either in jailed or sent before firing squads. They couldn't possibly be worse than Imran Khan and the world's most corrupt government that will ensure that all poor people there die of starvation. And considering Pakistan doesn't have a middle class, that number would be the majority of your population. Or kill the lower class by leaving no masks or testing kits for them. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2020/03/13/fia-to-probe-dr-zafar-mirza-over-alleged-involvement-in-masks-smuggling/amp/ Considering that you guys life off China, I would be careful with my words. You may not get the few farthings that you were being given. How much Chinese debt is Pakistan already down under? $100 Billion? I know Pakistani eateries and restaurants all over the world masquerade as Indian ones, because nobody will touch a Pakistan eating joint even with a barge pole. But you pretending to be an Indian here, is just hilarious.

@User beautiful. How you're conveniently trying to blame everyone else, but the country that started this all. And then spread it to the entire world. Brilliant. The videos about policemen beating people in India, is true. People coming out on the streets despite warning to stay indoors, and many of these are developing herds of idiots. If there was corporal punishment in these guys' schools, they probably wouldn't need disciplining in their old age. It appliesro the labour class mostly, who've been slowly creates into zombies, who don't understand instructions when delivered verbally and politely. Those groups are like donkeys or something. The injuries weren't long term and there was no mental trauma (they probably equated with someone shouting at them). As a matter of fact, there are hundreds of meme videos being shared on social platforms mocking idiots who have bene clearly instructed and yet have been breaching safety guidelines. Only the cases dealing with genuine cases of deliveries of medicines and food, by employees of these companies, could have been handled differently. Maybe they need some kind of prominent tags. In those cases, that confrontation could have been avoided. About stopping spreading of the Chinese pandemic, there is no other way (until a drug is created) to stop it, except for self isolation. Until we have a cure for the Pandemic. The Chinese government seems to be inviting scribes from all over the world to suggest a particular narrative to the whole Pandemic thing, starting with the fact that it apparenrly isn't Chinese and China shouldn't be used in any manner of reference. That is more suspicious and shocking than anything else. Joseph Goebelles would have been proud of the communist party. After spreading the virus to rhe world and calling every country racist that tried to close its borders to Chinese, China conveniently closed its borders to the world, as it quietly carries out its strategy of vaccinating its citizens with the vaccine that it probably developed months ago, while the world gripples with one of the worst Pandemic in decades. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2020/mar/26/coronavirus-live-news-update-world-lockdown-global-deaths-india-uk-us-australia-china-latest-updates?page=with:block-5e7cd8d88f0878a2a48aad33

Almost 90% of deaths due to the Corona Virus are in the G20. What do you think this means?
-
Hahaha. It was simple and lovely

I agree with many things Trump does and disagree with many others. Anyone who completely agrees or disagrees with anyone, including God, is probably a Communist, not because he doesn't have opinions, but because there is an absolute ban on expressing any opinion, not in complete compliance with the dictats of the top leadership. This post almost seems like it's right out of Communist China or USSR under Stalin or Lenin or Germany under Hitler. In any civil world, one can Agree to Agree or Agree to Disagree, and both choices are respected. Lack of choice is the foundation of Communism, whether disguised as hard left, or modern age liberals trolling anyone and everyone on social media and in public, even their own brethren, if opinions aren't expressed by an exact expression of phrases and words, including calling everyone else in disagreement with themselves (including non radical liberals) as fascists and racists and evil and (ironically) intolerant and other names. If the whole purpose of this post is about politics, maybe politics should be kept out of discussions here. Or dedicate a thread to political discussions (if political discussion can ever be called that). Ban me or ban whoever you want. There is a huge chance that many of us won't make it past a few weeks from now, thanks to a China created and criminally and negligently spread virus. So it probably won't even matter.
