    GH5 Prototype

Maybe noticeably higher bitrate (200mbps +). I guess they may employ faster cards. It is an excellent feature.

    GH5 Prototype

Ok. Then its great. I hope the sensor is a noticeable improvement over the GH4

    GH5 Prototype

Are u sure he said 'internal' 4:2:2? I could hardly understand his accent. Panasonic have done the introduction as a holding intro. They will definitely improve features. The Presentation is Not over. The marketing Manager is on for the other 3 cameras (and maybe some extra features of gh5)

    GH5 Prototype

Details shared: Will enter market in 1st Half of 2017 High end highend camera 4k photo will be improved (they did not say 5k or 6k ... ) 4k 60p video I think he mentioned an 18MP sensor, not higher.
  5. Thanks. Panasonic shuld be ASHAMED for not offering a Live Stream. P.S. There is something curious about that live stream. Seems almost like an older event. Correction: Check it on FB. On 43rumors.com, there is No Sound.
  6. There is a Huge 8k sign, but the are Many announcements in the offing. The 8k sign is most likely for a TV or the Latest Version of the Varicam.
  7. Panasonic will start its Press Conference in less than 3 mins from now
  8. Yi (the makers of the Xiaomy Yi and Yi 4k Action cameras), have finally unveiled their M4/3 ILC. The pricing is extremely competitive, especially considering that they are using the 20MP Sony sensor in it. The write-up is quite lousy, and therefore it will take a few more days before people figure all the great features in it. I hope they have some nice LOG profile, and good sound options, for now.
  9. B&H apparently leaked the G85's specs, and then took it down (not before yahoo news and a few others picked it up). "B&H is pleased to share Panasonic's announcement of their latest mirrorless release, the DMC-G85, which brings a familiar set of features to a new form factor. This versatile Micro Four Thirds mirrorless model utilizes the 16MP Live MOS sensor to provide a sensitivity range up to ISO 25600, 6 fps shooting with continuous autofocus, and UHD 4K recording at 30p. This 4K ability enables the use of 4K Photo Modes, too, for shooting 8MP stills at 30 fps in three ways. Five-axis sensor-shift image stabilization limits camera shake for sharper results, and supports Dual I.S. when used in conjunction with select lenses which also feature IS, for more effective overall stabilization. The ergonomic design of the body incorporates a 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder and a free-angle 3.0" 1.04m-dot LCD touchscreen, and built-in Wi-Fi permits remote camera control and wireless image sharing with a mobile device. Adding to the potential of the G85 is an optional DMW-BGG1 Battery Grip, which holds two DMW-BLC12 battery packs for extended shooting time, and offers a second shutter-release button, AF/AE lock button, exposure-compensation button, and dual-control dials for more ergonomic vertical shooting." http://finance.yahoo.com/news/panasonic-unveils-g85-mirrorless-advanced-111500146.html P.S.: B&H fired 3 more employees this morning. They were complaining about terrible communication between the managers, and the lower staff.
  10. This is basically the re-housed GX85, with weather-sealed in a magnesium alloy body, and most likely with a mic in. I am guessing at about $500 more, for that. Also, I am guessing, this has the new processor for the GH5 has been pushed into this, or has a faster refresh rate on the new OLED EVF and that's perhaps why the the camera can focus a little faster. Though I still doubt anyone will be able to do fast moving or sports photography, still with it. Why have they used the phrase "free angle" for LCD? Also, it apparently has 5 "Jikute shake correction". I am not sure, whether it means 5 stops of Shake Correction. If that is the case, this may have a little advantage over the GX85, which is most likely due to the heavier metal body, more than anything else. If it is priced above $999, it may not sell too well. Unless it has some impressive (apparently new) kit lens thrown in. P.S.: Interestingly, no mention of the 'rumored' internal 8-bit 4-2-2 codec. Maybe that was mischief played by some of Panasonic's detractors.
  11. The BMCC was/ is a brick. And weights a ton. It's success was due to the fact that it could do RAW in something so small, at such a low price point, at 2.5k when everything a few times that price point was doing only 1080p. MagicLantern killed some of the BMCC and BMPCC customers by letting them stick to Canon. The problem with Z1 is that while it is also apparently a Stills Camera, unlike the BlackMagics (which TBO would be superb except for its terrible autofocus and other issues), it started pretty badly, and it started through a different business route. Maybe if the Z1 is re-introduced/ re-marketed, this time with all the Bugs sorted, they may have a fighting chance. Otherwise they go the CraftCamera route. Or another dud from IndieGogo or something.
  12. The Z1 Camera seems Class Leading on Paper. But, users who have used it have a different story to tell. It's not fair to try and compare it with the Yi Company's Cameras. The Z1 is a very early unfinished product with apparently poor customer care and after sales. Excellent Idea. Not so impressive implementation.
  13. Absolutely. Along with an Attached LCD Screen, along excellent touch functionality and menu. And arguably better sound (they are apparently also working on different mics for the Yi 4k).
  14. Picking up ProTune was the best thing GoPro did. But that is more in the realm of professional work, and most of those features are wasted on people who don't want too much work in post (except movie makers). Also, when they picked up ProTune, people (arguably) weren't using them too much foe grading. They should have had better low light and battery life along with other things. And STABILIZATION. Also, GoPro prices have been the biggest cause of its Financial Downfall. I don't want to give you the figures, you can check any source that seems reasonable. GoPro is seriously down.
  15. Yi (formerly Xiaomi Yi), can be called the company that has put the final nail on GoPro's coffin, especially with its Yi 4k Camera (after the Flat Profile firmware), and much better low light. And now it is planning on Gate Crashing the M4/3 party. Camera prices may seriously come down, if this is true. Also, DSLR/DSLM makers may finally giving customers features they really want, instead of the limited things they offer. http://www.43rumors.com/yi-technology-will-announce-new-mft-camera-monday/

    "No-budget" Video

Nice grade. Video is seriously shaky. Almost like someone headbanging while recording it. Also the sound sync has a few milliseconds delay. Nice work though. And excellent for doing it in 6 hours.
  17. "I really fucking hate Sweden". Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I love American reviewers. They're the Funniest. Brits are just ancient colonial racists. Almost to the point of being boring. Americans, on the other hand, democratically crib so uniformly. I love their reviews. This review was so clumsy, disorganised and cribby, it was hilarious. Never mind that the product got completely ignored.
  18. "5-axis electronic image stabilization" Sony makes a smartphone sized sensor that does 3-axis electronic stabilisation. I wonder if 5-axis electronic stabilisation is even possible?
  19. Hahaha. It's true, though the time period for the newer models is too short. True. But they are making 6 month old models redundant. That is very curious.
  20. I am not sure what Panasonic is upto. It kills the GX7, GX8 and G7 with the GX85. And now they are rumours of the G80 that will have OBIS and 8-bit 4-2-2 INTERNAL. If it is true, it will make the GX85 redundant. At this rate, in the end, Panasonic will kill all other lines, except the GH. Very inspiring.
  21. Is this your usual tone, or are you suffering from oral leprosy.
  22. I think it may not be as much an issue with the IBIS as it is with Focus. The focus hunting interferes (IMHO) with the smoothness of the IBIS. Maybe with kess focus hunting, things may be more impressive.
  23. Actually at 12.7 or 12.8 the GH4 is better than the 5D Mark iii in terms of Dynamic Range (according to DXO Mark). And many APS-C Cameras. Maybe you only took the Nikons into consideration.
