  1. Thank you so much for the reply. I guess, now I know what cross process would imply on the menu. Also, thanks for the PremiumBeat link, it is extremely informative. Maybe I will have to do it in post. Hopefully I won't have to use a RAW or ProRes camera, only for this, and the H.264 is sifficient. I am disappointed though, that DSLRs/ DSLMs don't have similar features to smartphones. Kindda sad.
  2. There appears to a Column in the Menu for something called [Cross Process] with [Green Tone/ Blue Tone/ Yellow Tone/ Red Tone] on Page 89 of the Menu. Is that for Isolating that particular colour and leaving everything else in B&W? https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/dscoi/DMC-GX80/EG_EC_EF_EB/guideENG.pdf
  3. How does one isolate one single color in Scenes, like the One in the Schindler's List among others? Also, can it be done on a DSLR, as well. Can one do it, In Camera, in a Panasonic Mirrorless, for instance, for example? It seems to exist on Smartphones (Samsung, in my case), where color channels can be selected, and one has a few options with the pre-installed firmware, itself. I may have read about it in one of the Reviews on the GX85/80/7ii, but I could be wrong. Would anyone with the GX85/80/7ii know? Thanks in Advance
  4. Hahaha. This one was hilarious. The humour is quite interesting actually.
  5. Does it include Getty's stockpile too? Getty, the same guys, who stole a photographer's pics, and then tried to blackmail her, to buy the pics from them.
  6. I saw this yesterday, and I was blown away. The Difference is almost Night and Day.
  7. Wow !!! I really like the trailer. Looks like a super crazy and entertaining low budget Indie. When is it out? Also, will it have a world-wide release?
  8. You basically record a 'safety track' as backup of the same recording, at about 10dB lower that the main one. So if there is some popping as a consequence of a surge in sound by a talent or anything else, you have a backup, at a lower dB. It can be done with almost all dual sound recorders (whether separate channels, or mono). Like with the Shure LensHopper VP83f. You can record the 2nd sound (the one on the MicroSD Card) at 10dB lower, to have as a Safety Track. It is there on most sound recorders, that have more than one channel, or record into more that one place (camera and recorder etc).
  9. I saw a couple of his Horror Shorts and he is quite talented. He even did the Foley and other bits himself. Very creative indeed. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this.b Thanks for the link.
  10. Wow. Pretty Neat. Just goes to show that it's always more about the talent, than the equipment in whose hands they rest.
  11. More than the GH5, the reason the GX85 did not have Cinelike V and D was to protect the G7 (which had those and a mic in) and the GX8. The GH5 would have (I am assuming) far better than merely better battery life and just a VLog. They have tweaked the Vlog seriously on the DX200, so that may be on the GH5, and maybe have a 5k photo mode (or a 6k, if it doesn't have the GX85's sensor). While I doubt it will have (dual pixel) PDAF, it could have faster (and more accurate continuous autofocus in) photo burst speeds.
  12. I must disagree with you. Panasonic added Many Features in Firmware even with the GH4. Anamorphic and VLog came After users began petitioning Panasonic. Maybe users should follow Matt Frazer and other Panasonic executives (and Directors) on Twitter or tell him during Trade Shows/ Electronic Shows (as well).
  13. Excellent. Hopefully if there are enough signatures Panasonic may just listen.
  14. I saw this and am really excited. Please try and sign this. I am hoping Panasonic agrees and gives user Atleast Cinelike D and Cinelike V. https://www.change.org/p/panasonic-usa-please-add-a-log-video-profile-to-the-gx85-gx80
  15. I am Not Sure something "too tiny" will be adequate for daytime. Especially with the Sun in pockets beteeen trees and all. The Aputure, M9 won't really have enough throw. It is ok for something within a foot at best. Like practicals in a restaurant shot type of lighting, and not for lighting faces. Use a daylight balanced Strong LED with something to soften the glare. Maybe something like this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1114779-REG/aputure_amaran_al_198_198_on_camra_daylight.html
  16. Shotgun outside could be suicidal. Especially in crowded environments. Too many people watching, too much of ambient noise, a Very Attention grabbing piece of equipment, (maybe) not enough background noise isolation, and the whole thing sounds like a disaster just waiting to happen. Lapel Mics with the Rode InvisiLav sounds like a great idea (within clothing, and little closer than you would usually place them). Do a sound test (technical recee)before you do the final shoot.
  17. Yeah I guess. Andy has the most hands-on experience with the G7, under various lighting and shooting conditions. So, I guess, it's good for everyone to learn. My saying that was merely like soliloquy. And, I agree with that bit about recording sound in the field instead of ADR (lapel mics on the talent's chest, inside clothing could be a great idea). You can still get reasonably good sound (though a little cleaning might be required to prevent it sounding like a documentary, due to some background noise the mic with pickup).
  18. Thanks for the link Liam. Nice effort, and interesting concept for doing it.
  19. Just out of curiosity, isn't this like a private chat, instead of a group discussion, since 'Andy' is the one whom you want to address the question to ("Dear Andy")? Maybe a private message would have been better in this case. That's just my opinion ...
  20. Would love to see it. And give you some tips on how to improve with what you already have.
  21. Holy Fuck !!! I was almost tempted to pick up equipment(s) from the sales on the forums. Considering the kind of frauds that have taken place (and been Discovered), I should probably say a Few Prayers for not giving into the temptation(s). Thank you God.
  22. Hahaha. This is definitely the Most entertaining of the Forum's Threads. The funny bit is, nobody is beyond suspicion. And I gurss atleast 3 people have employed nom de plumes (double accounts). But this is Also a Huge Learning Experience for International and Online Purchases. Plus it is Very Important to Solve this Who Dunnit Mystery.
  23. Don't ban Ebrahim Saadawi, but Mr. Saadawi, your password should be atleast 10 Digits of Alpha Numerical with upper and lower case, ans atleast 3 symbols. Forget that for a moment. You Need to File a Police Case and a Cyber Crime Case in Egypt. This is an International Phishing Scam. And it has Affected Many people and your Reputation. And the Criminal is someone who is stealing from Your Home. Let him/ her be Handed Over to the Police. I won't be Surprised if the Fake Sales run into Hundreds. It is Your Duty to Ensure the Police takes this over. This is not some minor excusable infirmity. And don't leave eoshd. Your comments and insights are very valuable. Also, if you leave abruptly, it would caste a Suspicion on the fact that the Same Scammer is making this post this instead of you, and effectively closing the case, before it even opens. You would have to provide a daily update in the Case and the criminals involved. Everyone wants to know the truth. As it Unfolds.
