  1. @JohnBarlow You say that you've re-lubed your 32. I think that I might have found one to buy myself and I'm curious, how difficult was it to make this repair? Also, have you been able to access the lens elements relatively easily?
  2.   I wouldn't know how to do that. My question is about the Moller 32. I'll ask it over in the Moller thread.   Sorry for the hijack!
  3. @JohnBarlow,   I have been trying to PM you with a question, but I'm getting an alert telling me that you are not receiving any messages. Do you have messaging disabled?
  4. I've ordered one of these bad boys in matte black. Serial #05. It feels like joining an elite club.   If you've been thinking about getting one, better order it soon before Andrew writes an article!
  5.   I really like this, both stylistically and musically.
  6. I also took mine to a shoe shop, and was quoted US$300. The search continues.
  7. I have been looking for a front cap for my Lomo 50mm! Where did you find yours?

  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/181088333514   Is the winner among us? Or does anyone know anything about it?   I was tempted to bid but I'm on an eBay diet.
  10.   Great idea. I would like to see this as well.   But until we get it... for those who are curious, here are the Nikon D5200 camera tests that I shot this week (H264 files out of the camera): https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9ZhDqZ6DYvfN2c3eHJsMFBhM2s/edit?usp=sharing
  11.   Yes, just tell him which lens you have and he will know which clamp you need. Send him an email or contact him through this site (here, he goes by 'Tony Wilson').
  12. @Ben I don't think that you are going find any step rings small enough. Redstan has a clamp, or you can do what I did (see last page).
  13.   I have one of those too. It forces me to use an even longer lens to avoid vignetting and is only useful for extreme close ups and macro shots. I haven't used it since I bought it.
  14.   I had one of those once: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/741-isco-gottingen-anamorphot-15x-not-to-be-confused-with-iscormorphot-15x   That was a focus-through design and very difficult to work with. You have to reposition the camera to focus. The Iscomorphot 8 1.5x is very easy to use (fully rack-focusable and has a minimum focus distance of about 2.5'), as long as you keep your aperture above f/5.6.
  15. http://www.focalpointlens.com/fp_intro.html   John does good work. He has polished and recoated lenses for me before. He used to be the official ISCO repair shop in the USA before the company was acquired by Schneider. Expect a turnaround time of six months.
  16.   Yes, mine is quite unusable before f/5.6. But once you put it there, it gives an unbelievable image (in my opinion). And it is rack-focusable (and focuses as close as 0.5m), which makes it the easiest, most user-friendly anamorphic that I have ever owned.
  17.   Here's how I am mounting mine: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/uploads/gallery/album_14/gallery_18451_14_27471.jpg   There are probably other ways to do it, but this is what I came up with to prevent the lens from twisting when I am focusing. Hope this helps and I can't wait to see your videos!
  18. http://vimeo.com/60629733 I recommend downloading the original and grading it.
  19. VS GH2:    http://youtu.be/3Am0KQsVnuI   Settings matched as much as possible. Both balanced for daylight.
  20. I bought one to replace my GH2 but I am leaning towards returning it. Dynamic range appears to be quite good and I haven't seen any color banding yet. But there's just too much jello to be useful for me. Here's an example (watch for the moment when I deliberately bump the camera): http://youtu.be/GJqudomlxX8 I'm also seeing it in Macgregor's test video: http://youtu.be/kfSM7SlyVX8 I bought the camera because I was excited about the prospect of using my old Nikkor AI-s lenses with it, but I feel like I would have to replace them all with expensive AF-S lenses with VR in order to get a steady shot with this camera. I'm disappointed. I really wanted this to be the one! UPDATE: I tried the same test again but I switched positions so that the GH2 was on top: http://youtu.be/q5f58aeFYRU This basically nullifies the conclusion from my last test video. The problem was with my test, not the camera. The D5200 is still in the running. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
  21. Have your friend shine a flashlight at the anamorphic. Use the flares to make sure that your lens is properly aligned.
