Well, once the installing process means to screw the magicbooster anyway, the process can always be reverted at any time, isn't it @lucabutera ?

RED respond to Apple in compressed RAW patent battle
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Nice to see you Phil here around : ) Let's help Jarred and Andrew (disclaimer: I love these two guys and what they're doing!) to put both on track to keep going in peace and serve even better our community? (E : -) -
RED respond to Apple in compressed RAW patent battle

I actually wonder if who deals with IP in US has any clue what raw means? I dunno why all these people have the habit to write RAW instead... Can anyone explain me please? : -D -
RED respond to Apple in compressed RAW patent battle

Andrew is doing a terrific job... So, no one can open a camera website after him, isn't it? As Anthony (squig) wrote here to follow a suggestion of mine that one of these days we all need to pay prior licensing if someone has the idea to register a patent on planet Earth, go figure if Nestlé demands any revenue from vanilla ice cream made by my wife at my kitchen, I'd dare to wonder myself. Wait, that's actually Milk Chocolate coated *sigh* so maybe they'll forgive...? -

It would be nice to have a list of the the best performing units actually : -)

Sure... consumer is who is cleaned LOL only in the end, isn't it? ; -)

Exactly, that's because of VAT. State is such a thief! Strange seen from abroad, isn't it? But it is what it is. You located in the Russia, a former communist paradise, you pay less for this product (same for US) than living in Europe. Funny, yes or no? ; -)

Coming from you, I can only agree... if you say it so! LOL ; -)

Jinni Tech claims RED Compressed RAW patent filing is invalid
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
You're right : ) However, one doesn't rule out the other in any way whatsoever. I think because RED promised much more than actually has given in a strict end user friendly way, as previously hinted when announced before to become mainstream. I guess that's why : ) And let's not forget Andrew represents today the indie community as Jarred did in the middle of the previous former decade... : -) -
Jinni Tech claims RED Compressed RAW patent filing is invalid

I'm sorry, Andrew, but some drama is too funny though : ) Certain unrealistic approach is also hilarious to some external point of view on the facts. Go figure strictly from a legal or even business/professional perspectives. Seems RED omnipotence's fame precedes their odds. Hence such remark of mine, as well. To be rather fair with the reality in fact. E : -) -

Yeah, Jarred presence would really be nice as said on these pages recently before. Phil, it's not necessary to be a patent attorney or a tech lawyer as you hint to have an opinion on the matter. I have two to three decades of legal background in the media realm BTW aside (any/every) legal mantra in general and I am entitled to tell you this patent thing is not so complicated as it seems or as some side is invariably pulling their weight. That is, that FUD quote of yours applies here indeed, just not exactly where you see to fit it. There will be who backs RED claims but also the opposite. Count on it. Let alone different jurisdictions to play their part. Law is not an exact science for sure ; -) - E. -

In short, Mihail, there's no how to re-invent the wheel, isn't it? So here we enter in the true realm of BS... -

Posted there or described here: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-02/sponsor-turned-blind-eye-to-lance-armstrongs-doping/5564074 Life is not an easy place, that's the minimum we can say at least. In some other note, the State is the thief number one in person and no one seems to complain about... No puritan morals over (t)here : -) -

I understand your feeling, Andrew. In any case, RAW was in Jim's mind since very early 2006 when Graeme was hired. Jarred was only an observer back to those days, as it is possible to follow here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?42602-RED-and-Graeme-Nattress&highlight=raw -

Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
That is or was far to be a secret anyway. If so, it is property of Landmine so Jarred could have put that off to the distance of a click. I think it is useless to do it anyway. Once published hard to keep it unknown to not mention top secret ; -) -

I hadn't read this post of yours yet... Take a look: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?77032-RAW-vs-REDCODE-RAW Yes, REDCODE RAW was implemented very likely not exactly when announced IIRC but along 2006 as that link reveals and actually present since the early beginning also with the first camera units delivered as well when RED took reservations as mine (#111 and #647). I am obviously sure on that one : -) -
Mandatory and pretty irresistible IMO that one... : -)
