  1. Very true! I guess it was obvious you'd be their most serious competitor one day. And I recall when I was there practically alone if not the only one defending you. Archives are there to prove and mark my words : ) Glad to be here from minute one to see you to succeed along this hard way building this community. ? Even going on your toes as webmaster, our supreme moderator... LOL ; -) https://www.similarweb.com/website/dvxuser.com?competitors=eoshd.com
  2. I don't feel this with their cameras today. On the contrary, to be sincere. Aside these issues now reported. But, some arrogance from their side is unbearable. This should not be tolerant by us as their supportive and cooperative clientele. Dictatorships simply don't bring any help. Thanks for joining your voice : ) I am glad to see I am not the only one to notice and say it openly. I don't get the fanboy ostrich attitude. E : -)
  3. I don't understand what you want to mean? : ) You can replace one version for the other one. Both ways. Only for those units which already had cDNG from factory.
  4. I told you. It really puzzles me. Why? We'd need they may address the issue. It's rather disappointing. Without mention to lack some objectiveness to clarify it. I also can't be glad why a few models are cDNG capable, others don't. As far as reported because of a new display and its firmware, but this camera was announced with the possibility to hold cDNG when it is not even consensual braw is wide accepted as raw format. Despite its usefulness, ratio IQ and value. So we have now two distinct cameras as matter of fact? A Mark II or better to call it Minus Mark I too...? Is this acceptable? Ethical? Many fair doubts and complaints by customers and adopters can be raised for the subject matter. Who can blame such claim? This was posted by majoraxis in your forum 15 pages back one month and a half ago: You can also find more information here: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=90870 Unfortunately, this is effectively not a minor downgrade, hence the major disappointment not only pointed by me but many others...
  5. From some other display to prove that really counts the way your footage is perceived, B & I take better position and clearly E for the river part as personal taste rather than in my previous impression. K stands a way more solid as close-up than wide shot for sure, let alone not only but color wise. I'll try later projected in a 100" screen from 4K projector to couple to same YT resolution source once it is available.
  6. I understand your point and tend to concur. I just didn't do any test. And I found worrying some other people to involve cDNG too. Without mention, I am not a frequent user of BMD forums so I am not certain some other people hadn't noticed yet.
  7. Me neither. Until to have read it reported here: https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=93737#p521893 I was expecting any solid contradictory there from BMD staff included, no one dropped a word on topic to oppose it anyway... That's not what they say there in that thread... They say that's even worse, unfortunately. Posted a couple of hours ago... Will this be really effective?
  8. Hey, loved those skin tones! LOL Well, what a talent you have there in front of your lens! Really : ) For some reason, H and K got me : -)

    It's eGPU time!

Well, in my native market, they say we'll join the party already next year to come ; -)
  10. Emanuel

    It's eGPU time!

Emanuel, your typo ; ) But you can put your name to replace mine... LOL Anyway, eGPU is the early stage of something else to come, count on it ; -) The whole thing will be redefined. We're only attending from balcony to the beginning.
  11. Hope you care and as Dennis and Glenn hinted, let's truly face it: movement and static shots is apples to oranges. Nothing clean and good 1080p won't resolve, no matter how hyped 4K is. We instead, we're not here for selling hotdogs... LOL ; -)

    It's eGPU time!

5G will revolutionize a lot in this and other industries : ) Impossible to deny, it's only wait and see...
  13. Emanuel

    It's eGPU time!

I hope so : ) BMD has some responsibilities to fulfill. I expect they don't lose the genesis of their coming to this arena. I've had my doubts more recently, unfortunately. I dislike arrogance from manufacturer players and they're growing up too much and fast. Hope they don't burn the common sense with their own chances (E : -)

    It's eGPU time!

5G is coming, that is, if Trump will allow it! LOL : ) BTW, what version have you bought? How much of RAM? I was unable to find such information online... Have you tried to connect it coupled to eGPU via Thunderbolt 3 and edit on Resolve?
  15. No problem, it is your forum. I show to you my personal apologies then. This is your home. I firmly believe we should all respect each other, the truth and the home of each other too. Not to him, anyways. I am done with this guy. There's no personal agenda over here, mine or from him, I believe or I'd already have invited him to go on private mode. He pops here to downvote any negative remark he doesn't like towards his product because of his work too committed with results we would all love to see opposed. He did the same with Dennis (aka @deezid) to intoxicating reality distorting the facts to unfit his personal bubble. Embarrassing his remarks trying to put them to rest instead. In a line, good try to silence them with variable success but without adding any helpful enlightenment to whom has invested resources on that table. Moreover, denying reality can only address readers and customers/users to misleading. On the compilation thread organized for a few weeks now, we can even salute this year-long thread with a million views as you well know I've just recently addressed to you. And emailed to Grant Petty BTW (forwarded to you too). Your milestone. On a product manufactured by the same guys who I am client for years but have underestimated your forum as most part of us well know. Without mention, as you and everyone here should remind against my voice, as well. I tend to put it where and when I think it is fair. Brand agnostic locations are really not well seen under a strict business viewpoint. Ours here, your readers and contributors, is a different one, though. However, 414 pages (!) can never help anyone to find the best information. I could only leave it as my personal bookmarks saved in a device of my own. Or share it with this community. In a way to easily have quick access to it in the most effective and helpful method by all. I am not inventing anything. Not lies spread with undercover little mouse clicks. LOL Just compiling relevant information crucial to any Blackmagic daily user. They are not "my threads"... This is only a small contribution of mine in your forum. Our threads as you wish then ; ) In behalf of this community you've helped to created. Something you know I respect. As much as the fact you put your keyboard where you see to fit. One of the reasons I am here. The same when some move comes useful. Please don't expect something different from reason or who I am : -) EDIT -- Above-posted on my remark and quote of mine up there, I stand corrected, it is "such useful piece of technology" and not "such useful people of technology", obviously.
  16. 1080p raw is lovely... You can even risk to not miss the 4K outcome. Really : -) Well, if they also thought about YouTubbers... why not? ; ) It doesn't bother me at all though. The camera monitor's angle is fine designed, that is, very well thought to let it clear. @CaptainHook I am already used to your coward and childish downvotes... When people lack perspective, insist to be blind, focus on a counterproductive absence of arguments or yet simply entering in denial... it is just easier the disservice. You should limit yourself to a skillful approach instead, commenting or trying to overcome the issues your baby .braw boy brings to whom have effectively paid your pay off as part of the brand staff. Rather than making even louder the shortcomings of such useful people of technology. Unique of a kind to be straightforward with the truth all the way. My fav acquisition device ever. The same way I am genuine to post that, I don't refrain myself to deal with the negative side. No typical fanboy attitude over there ; ) I guess Grant must have more care to recruit their personnel from kindergarten next turn. Let's be pretty honest here, OK? For some reason people appreciate a forum as brand agnostic as this one : -)
  17. LOL You've been one of everyone's fav posters over here, I see -- world would be an empty place without you! : -)
  18. X-T3 has always been one my favs, unbeatable SOC... : -)
  19. No idea but there, someone hints this is a known issue with raw on Blackmagic cameras...
  20. In that thread above-posted someone claims cDNG is the worst sample when some other notices that's make little sense from lossless... ProRes is reported as identical.
  21. LOL Hadn't checked... Funny : D My bad, I should have paid attention to that date. Only in Internet days we have April Fools in late June! : -D
  22. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/au/products/blackmagicpocketcinemacamera/techspecs/W-CIN-12
  23. I believe this will depend on our grading too. As far I've seen posted cDNG is even worse with Blackmagic cameras but should it be going lossless? ProRes 422 HQ should be clean, at least. If not, there's nothing related to codec or RAW implementation. It's surely not good news...
