Anyone interested to put some sort of questions not exactly suitable to answer here, address them in the right place, not OT not in this thread please : ) You can easily reach me with a private message to my inbox. Thank you all for your understanding : -)

Even 4K. Unless events are your game. 5:1 can save you space in the case you want the highest quality but keep space for it. 3:1 is the new "uncompressed standard" but I'd tend to frankly use Q0 for.
-
For sure! : ) You might use 8:1 though if you'll want to keep your slowmo or shadows pretty safe.
-
Yes, I believe you're right : ) I guess we have now both Q0 and Q5 as the best PRO and casual routes respectively, at least to me. 8:1 as general setting, 12:1 for other than slowmo and non demanding brightness shooting conditions, even though, I'd rather select Q5 instead then. source: https://ymcinema.com/2018/11/06/blackmagic-raw-braw-vs-cinema-dng-cdng-comparison-and-insights/

God, that's just made my T5 931GB obsolete! What a buyer's remorse, right now! LOL : -)
-
LOL I have the first gimbal designed for P4K under 1 kg and a half for you! ; -) I thought about that. That's not good indeed, even though, if Peter Jackson didn't need it, will we? In any case, they should keep it there. You can always install it backwards as you wish and need, I guess, isn't it?
-
Yes, Filippo has become the "name" of this sensor class LOL : ) Because BRAW will join Resolve to mainstream name as much as DaVinci was before to be bought ten years ago by their own hand. https://library.creativecow.net/article.php?author_folder=wilson_tim&article_folder=blackmagic-design_buys_davinci_pt1&page=1 CinemaDNG is also ten years old now but looks like pretty clear they didn't feel the need to buy it from Adobe then. Seems to become outdated now. Blackmagic is what RED declined to be... a proprietary system has the right timing in order to be introduced. Without mention a mandatory rule they've decided to comply, that is, to let it open. E : -)
-
Indeed Harry... That's quite of an achievement : -)
-
Nice to see you on board, Danilo : ) Trust me amigo mio, P4K is the right acquisition device for you! Well, and for everyone else... LOL E : -)
-
Yes, always good for business : -)

I had struggled a bit to find a lighter one to begin with, something under 1kg and a half. As well, to have the possibility to change sides because of P4K body design. Something other contenders don't comply. Let alone the view angle thanks to the extra 45° letting you watch your camera screen while you're shooting. Amongst other goodies such as 1080p video transmission (that is, in order to allow the use of a smartphone/tablet as monitor) and servo follow focus... : ) As expressly written as disclaimer, those are not demos. Aside the fact it is a new model, there's not where to take a look from yet. Since slow motion has become a new trend or what else you'll ever see masses looking for?! ; ) people tend to match one and another in the same pack. Reason why those were the ones randomly picked up from vimeo. Not much else there. In any case, it is not so hard to google and find some informative stuff about the predecessor models of this new gimbal version, I think it is not even necessary to point them out. Without mention, I think they should all be noticed before : -)

This is news! This forum should be proud of you, kudos for your endeavour! I don't see why each single P4K user could ignore such release and not to order one, this app is absolutely mandatory! : ) Don't forget to spread the word out there, the industry needs to know you've launched it. We P4K shooters will praise it. Nice to see that to happen here, E : -)

Everyone has been contacted. Further people interested to order one, reach me via PM sending a message to my inbox please. Ready to immediate delivery directly from the manufacturer following the private message route, now available. Expect this performance from such piece of gear: For those ones interested in hyperlapses: Disclaimer: These embedded videos have nothing to do with the OP or manufacturer. Just random examples from brand users (previous models).

Let's wait and see! It didn't happen yet! A 2nd referendum is an option on the table right now to solve all that Cameron's mess. The deal would be a midway. No one is willing for a darkness age, except Farage's demagogy. UK still is the best country to make business with. Long live Brits! (E : -) PS: I'd say not even him believes in himself: https://news.sky.com/story/nigel-farage-wouldnt-campaign-or-vote-in-second-brexit-referendum-11648823 Watch this interview down to last second... https://www.cnbc.com/video/2019/02/26/brexit-is-an-economic-accident-waiting-to-happen-harvard-professor.html

You're welcome Harry : ) The person in charge was replaced by her own boss now. We are waiting for his input since this morning (we live in different time zones) when we spoke for last time over everything she had advanced before February when she left the company, delivery date included. Hope this helps! (E : -)
-
Only a form to say it : ) Thanks for your input. As Pureview user -- I still hold my 808 as my main phone replaced by a 2nd unit nowadays especially for casual shooting, incredible how its high resolution mode and large sensor size (for a smartphone camera BTW) have been rather useful to me under the most diverse circumstances, I am ordering this successor when exactly tomorrow Feb 27 it is celebrated seven years this device was unveiled. I am a happy camper with all samples I've seen. I always discount the fact we don't have access to the original files. It is a bit like to evaluate videos from YT : D I am very enthusiastic with the idea. Can't wait to receive mine! : -)

It was announced before in this same thread last November by the designer/supplier himself: : -)

LOL Nothing about my English, dude ; ) Funny the fact last time I checked your native English (from India, correct?) was the most accurate setting for native Portuguese speakers using English translator tools over Android (very effective along such route BTW) : D On your argument, I just got where you probably picked up that idea: https://www.androidauthority.com/nokia-9-pureview-release-date-price-deals-958364/ "The Nokia 9 PureView is technically a limited-edition device. HMD said it would manufacture a set number of units and would not continue fabrication once stock runs out. This is a pretty odd stance for what’s essentially HMD’s most-hyped phone to date. We suspect it has something to do with the fact that HMD was stuck with building the phone around the Snapdragon 845, instead of the 2019 gold standard, the Snapdragon 855." Ideas spread nowadays -- internet days, are like Black Death. Not only here, not only from your comment, people tend to believe incremental updates as game changers. When things happen upside down, not depending on our wish, perspective or our world, so many times to accept it as fact. This Nokia 9 is revolutionary indeed. The step from Snapdragon 845 to 855, not so much or not at all to say it literally, very likely. The latter link stands my point. From the leftover, you can find DR is far to be inferior to the Pixel 3 (BTW, your current phone? ; ) From your post: "The night photos were actually blowing out the highlights a little." Really? Id appreciate to see those samples I was simply unable to find out there. Because everything I've seen points out exactly on the opposite direction.

To each its own. S1 will be a hybrid. P4K is not. But it definitely is not also that, what only a couple of detractors, haters, whoever, spread as mere FUD at the end. Well, to keep it frankly for both sides, the odd availability doesn't help at all either. Battery is not a problem, neither LCD, much well positioned angle BTW. On the contrary, no other camera offers similar monitor(ing) quality, actually. If you'll succeed to get one. And so on. You use it once, you'll never want to shoot with anything else (eleven Panasonic cameras still in my inventory as of today : ) Let alone the WB setting + the most intuitive interface a camera had and you'll see what I mean. Not even need to mention RAW. Un saluto per la bella Campania a tutti voi, I miss you all, E : -)

oh well, where have you been getting this idea? https://www.technobuffalo.com/nokia-9-camera-review/#&gid=1&pid=1 PS: OK, I got it, probably from here: https://www.androidauthority.com/nokia-9-pureview-release-date-price-deals-958364/ Speaking of outdated devices then, take a look of this comparative of two devices separated with 5 years in-between: https://www.androidauthority.com/huawei-p20-pro-vs-lumia-1020-857050/ The proof is in the pudding.

: ) There is a much improved model to follow this less capable one. I am expecting news from the manufacturer on availability these next days. People who have contacted me will receive the promised update.
-
Nice approach : ) And much closer to the original interface, the best ever designed for a camera. My hat, mate : -)
-
I am not sure I accurately understand the use of the word "slider" there. Sorry my dummy doubt.

How to set up the focus then? Only with joystick? Can we also use both? To set up the focus point in-camera directly over the P4K LCD and using the rest of the features from your app, I guess. Am I thinking accurately?
