Nice input, man : ) As gimbal user, what's your opinion about Moza Air (1st edition) versus Weebill LAB (for P4K use) ? Any hint? BTW, they practically have the same weight but not the same form factor definitely.
-
Sure, buddy and I will tell you that I am surprised with their AF too. It is not perfect. A bit of pulsing is their unique flaw though. You don't even miss continuous autofocus. In the beginning, I thought it would be useless to even think to ever use it. My bad. Some other lenses later and I realized that was only the product of my laziness. A few primes or even the 35-100 f/2.8 II to follow up (so zooms as well, but the newer the better) could actually show me a much fitter and totally distinct outcome. Tap-to-focus really works precise, accurate (had the chance to stress it under low light circumstances, go figure) and in such huge monitor for so lightweight device; you get the mirrorless weight for the balance of a good solid brick-and-mortar. Any hint what the boys of Nouvelle Vague movements would think about, more than 50 years from today? ; -)

My friend, don't think that way! It is rather the opposite... : ) These guys have invented the most easiest camera and way to achieve the most affordable grading ever : )) Trust me. And I am particularly done with them this last couple of months... I've even personally addressed my rant to Grant Petty himself claiming for better business policies to their parties or/and whom is interested to collaborate/work at their side. They've done what Jim Jannard promised almost a decade and half ago, so they must second Jim's not only on that! : -)

Panasonic announcing a full frame camera on Sept. 25???
Emanuel replied to Trek of Joy's topic in Cameras
Great post, man : ) The last paragraph is a pearl then : -) Unfortunately, and especially to me and many others from motion picture ballpark, FF is replacing the best format ever -- MFT gives what others will never reach: this craft is all know-how and art of lensing it; no other format offers such versatility from C-mount to FF not only but also when coupled to a focal reducer, let alone the whole leftover. Here's the reason why mainly there are (digital) dinos : D like us who care ; -) -
Don, will you accept an advice from someone who wishes the best in your hands...? : ) Buy one! ; -) I hadn't seen this one here yet, but it is fully true... This is the best camera for motion picture acquisition ever : P

I see you haven't followed my posting along this same thread... Maybe you might end all surprised about ; ) I just write what I've found from my own experience. And if just a few time ago I was in doubt not exactly about their own camera but their business policies, I must now surrender myself to their superior offer (a fair comparison between their interface and ergonomics vs the other contenders would be enough) because I see I know more than you for the subject matter. No one sent me one for free in any way other than a pre-order my partners and I had to fulfill (we paid 925 pounds without VAT BTW). I wish I had 28 units to satisfy a third party of ours they simply refused to serve, no matter the people we had reached, Grant Petty included. My rant. Because we've lost a chance we should not miss and they didn't care or seemed so. I wish to see you being as sincere as I am, from there, under such delicate circumstances we've just lived, dude... Rather than mere BS posted only as YT clickbait or to justify to be outside of the Party in the comments section whatever pages you choose to somehow hide sorta frustration to share ; -) You or anyone here can not even recall you/we were not invited : P Just blame yourself to have not pre-ordered such no-brainer. I do. I would have demanded three dozens of them earlier if I knew what I know today ?

Of course. It is so funny certain comments... Well, I shoot for two, three decades now and I can tell you quite frankly: This is the easiest and best camera I've ever shot with. Period : ) Don't believe it? Stay at the dark side then. Your loss... Not of many others who are getting fun from there. BTW, solid manufacturers like Canon, Panasonic, Sony, Olympus and so on should learn with these guys how to set up an intuitive and PRO menu like these Aussies. My hat : -)
-
Yeah, seems they are the best camera service on earth : ) So, there shouldn't be so many defective units out there for sure... ; -)
-
If you are waiting for a camera free of defective units, better to be rid of it never buying one... Problem solved ; ) I am in position to tell you this camera has been one of the best sellers ever, so? It is normal you'll find reports of defective units with, isn't it? ; -)

+1 Two and more from inside saying the same... why should it be? ; ) Don't go after excuses to only justify personal reasons exclusively by your own ; -) @mercer when some better daylight will help me to overcome how stuck I am on ISO1250 for now : -)
-
Really, Don, this is a craft and not even a point-and-shoot camera. Very easy to shoot with though. Trust me. The most unique and accessible beauty I've ever date ; ) A pleasure to deal and handle from scratch anyways ; -) Hard to have buyer's remorse.

Hoya does the job for me. https://hoyafilterusa.com/product/hoya-solas-irnd-2/

I don't agree with you on this one not even for a bit other than about barrel distortion, obviously. That one, you can easily correct. So? Wanna facts? P4P is oversharpened. Fact. Not all of us are obsessed with edges but perception. Another fact. MP2 ends to be more cinematic. My opinion, at least.

Are the electronic controls ready to P4K right away?
-
Thanks : ) Where have you purchased it? Where have you seen it with the 3 package options?
-
Yeah, that would be nice, thanks : ) So, don't you see any issue other than adding weights to match the P4K camera balance there? As smooth as any smaller camera or other gimbal you bet? Doesn't it come with their own follow focus already and all included?
-
Sorry pals but complaints on IR pollution and vignetting?! Are you kidding me? When we all know there's no OLPF there as so many other cameras?! Use a filter and stop the nonsense please : ) BTW is this the first time you've seen this one here? ; -)

@Anaconda_ can you upload a light bit rate version on Vimeo? Still puzzled... what's your final verdict from your experience for such P4K + Weebill LAB combo?
-
Future Zhiyun-Tech (Weebill LAB) sales are in your hands... Trust me! : -)
-
Yeah, as much as 10 bucks will always be 10 bucks, it doesn't matter if you have there in your bank account more 999,990 or only 90... ; ) Enough for a Pizza Margherita, but still depends where ; -)
-
Yeah, but 1600g vs 1250g (without adapter plate though) for both version 2 of Moza Air and Zhiyun Crane (that Crane 2 vs Crane V2 denomination is simply stupid), respectively. 1 kilogram is too tight, isn't it? ; ) Yes, indeed : ) Not yet, but I will... ; -) Yup, but with the Aputure DEC Vari-ND you can have more room to change it during recording. Take a look on these both ones: Reason why I still think that 1,1kg of the Moza Air version 1 is still unbeatable and the only one to match the Weebill LAB portability and lightweight without quirks and much better outcome to evaluate from the first tests with the new Zhiyun-Tech tool. As others have said here, the road (Crane 3 LAB) Zhiyun will certainly address and target the new P4K looks like too cumbersome... So the same for the other Moza Air 2 option too. Let alone the Ronin S... The Crane 2 is the only other alternative I see in the light side. That is, I have no feedback with AK2000 and 4000 models there -- seems a much heavier route though: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1433116-REG/feiyu_ak2000_gimbal_stabilizer.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1433117-REG/feiyu_ak4000_gimbal_stabilizer.html The fact you'll be able to handle the gimbal for more time really counts to my book : -)
-
@Newway12 Enjoy your purchase because you won't find any other similar camera out there for a simple reason, it doesn't exist... : -)
-
Glad they match ! ; -)

Seems it works very good as far as some reports I've heard about.
