  1. I just think people here, there and everywhere (myself included if I don't pay enough attention : ) tend to generally focus more on virtual brands love than real tools usability. No price yet on Moza Air X but once the Zhiyun Crane 3 / Weebil Lab will stay under $1,000 I guess they won't end far away : -)
  2. "MOZA Air X will be available in the first quarter of 2019 from gudsen.com and Gudsen Resellers worldwide. Pricing will be announced prior to availability." https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/gudsen-moza-launches-moza-air-x-the-innovative-design-camera-gimbal-developed-for-professional-filmmakers-300721516.html https://www.gudsen.com/moza-air-x Same feeling here. That's an amazing tool. But people here are more focused to always discuss when not pixel peeping codec bit rate the same camera sensor mantra. A glance on a fair comparison with Zhiyun here tells it. Without mention I find 4.2kg vs 2.5kg payload for the MOZA Air 2 comparing with the Zhiyun Crane Plus much more interesting than the slight pricing difference. Let alone the MOZA iFocus Wireless Lens Control Systems and last but not least, it will be available from my birthday date on ; -) My exception for the more versatile lightweight by Zhiyun as well a no-brainer Smooth 4 though. Interesting those two features there too: "A new innovation for the gimbal is the image transmission box underneath the camera plate that contains a HDMI port for wireless image transition to the Zhiyun-Tech app. The app can then track subjects and act intelligently with the motion of the gimbal. USB ports for camera control are also included, but this is limited to Panasonic GH4 and GH5, and Sony a7 cameras for now. A very neat feature not mentioned in the video are the three motor/axis locks. When correctly balanced, users can lock the positions in place, so that even if the gimbal is powered down and packed away or transported, the balance settings remain the same, when using the same camera and lens combination. This saves the pre-shoot balancing that can be a pain when filming in a run and gun situation."
  3. And you were not the only one. I left 5DII in behalf of the GH1 only one year later my previous purchase. Silly discussion. This Tony N. looks like to be a smart a$$ more often than should be. I've also abandoned his insights for a long time now. Who abandons who (or what camera format) after all? Useless pseudo-experts can waste your time and money.
  4. Impossible to say no to that 18-35mm f/1.8 to begin with... ; ) Even though that 6K *cough cough* promised capability from those workmanship Zeiss are much hard to ignore : -) In any case, people tend to overestimate their more expensive glass love or the usual FF mantra... Take a look on these menu-priced pizza samples and tell me those 35mm f/1.7 and 50mm f/1.4 cans are plain garbage that I'll pretend I must believe or I cannot be a professional posting in these pages... LOL : -) Not only on MFT side obviously, even though, the claims for larger formats as much as sharp end or 8K alike and other yadda yadda can only rely to become pure BS to serve as excuse for laziness ; -)
  5. What kind of glass are you looking for? 1) 18-35mm f/1.8 (with focal reducer) + native 42.5mm f/1.7 MFT format lens; or only native glass such as: 2) 14mm f/2.5 + Pancake 20mm f/1.7 + 25mm f/1.7 or then the upcoming Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 + the customary 42.5mm f/1.7 as fine affordable alternative to the Leica f/1.2 counterpart; or yet: 3) Oly 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 + Lumix PZ 45-175mm f/4-5.6 (for smooth motorized zoom option); all that bargain stuff.
  6. Don't underestimate Jim Jannard, man... : -D
  7. Sure not. I see you haven't paid attention to my posting... One of the rules here is to create a community of posters, so I am used to read you ; ) It is useful to create a community of non-anonymous users BTW : ) The point of this thread is about something you're still waiting for, because didn't happen yet, hence the game on title. Do you have any real fastest AF lens on APS-C side? No. Do you have any reliable AF camera for accurate AF tracking to offer you IBIS coupled to 10-bit recording in-camera, among other goodies, just to prevent banding when you also need it, as for instance? No. Emanuel : -)
  8. Cameras have pros and cons. All of them. We should all know that.
  9. Exactly. People tend to bash GH5 focus abilities with no absolute key about the device as a whole in every and each feature the tool has, focus related included. It's a world in fact. Tracking? Well, we're speaking of something else then.
  10. What focus? Tracking focus or some other AF offer? Because tap to focus can perform some other outcome of a different kind, as much as that sorta auto follow focus mode feature GH5 has.
  11. To my book, this can be a deal breaker (in favour of Panny instead as better alternative) if not fixed... On that one I am absolutely with @jonpais where you're used to be, Jon, because certain things count even more than IQ, being reliability one of them.
  12. Mine: X-H2 for IBIS with 33mm f/1 plus a kit formed by the already existent Fuji glass 10-24mm f/4; 16mm f/1.4; 23mm f/2 & 50-140mm f/2.8 without mention the respective 1.4x teleconverter and a couple of extension tubes for macro shooting. Yours?
  13. I called it a miss. No 4K/60p today makes no sense at all. Not even through HDMI output? C'mon... Even GoPro and smartphones have it in-camera! Something we have in common, pal, we both pursue the ideal cam, hard to come though LOL : ) My best bet is the X-H2 to bring IBIS coupled to the upcoming fastest mirrorless lens: 33mm f/1 (f/1.7 in 35mm terms); without mention a kit formed by 16mm f/1.4, 23mm f/2 & 50-140mm f/2.8 (not bad at longer end for a tele zoom) plus the 1.4x teleconverter, all that along 2019-20.
  14. Without mention, daylight. C'mon, we are not all vampires LOL : -)
  15. Ah your focus is not light tools but the amount of light arriving to the sensor whatever size is. However, your contradictory 'the larger the better' motto trumps : D I am still puzzled, mate... ; ) Only to answer your question, aside ergonomics, weight, focal length range or any other options to make, I tend to use the best choice to serve my purpose. If some tool fits the job, why some other? No special love for MFT. Lightweight may serve better though. I see photography as it is: a combo of factors, not stuck to obsessions, FF or wherever they suit. Unfortunately, FF is (only) one of them. I love large formats. But not underestimating the sciences of light and shooting where convenience stands. OK, last but not least, following your style: do you know the only reason why I am just looking for Z7 Mark II? Yes, because I don't disregard resolution at all as hybrid all included (let one of fine obsessions for large format printing flow at least LOL). 4K/60fps. We might call it obsession. I'd rather see it as mandatory instead. As you know, I am not alone on that one, isn't it?
  16. Yes, I had already seen it, as matter of fact. Settings might surprise you indeed. No idea if it is 100% a matter of color science. Shooting science for sure... E : -)
  17. Really? Funny. Seems hybrids have yet to evolve. Oh well, their makers at least. What about the users? The jury declines to rule out.
  18. How come?! You'll exactly have the same DOF as much as f/4 you have going with FF. 12-35mm f/2.8 is lighter but slower comparing with FF where you have +2 stops of difference, so f/4 (FF) it is still 1-stop faster (35mm equivalent). You show to handle all that in your math though... so?! : -) Ah, you mean, lighter? Mirrorless is lighter. Go figure when you'll put your hands in your glass for the new large format by Panasonic... Weren't you so enthusiastic about the idea? ; -)
  19. I'd even much appreciate FUJI might send you some unit to you there for testing it out. I'd say the same to the other brand under our spotlight these hot days... @CaptainHook @John Brawley Rather than those Asian testers not only geographically distant from their European customers, left to the end of the road as seems so. October arrived. "Photokina is much more than a show of new products", as they say. Well, 'media convergence' nowadays too.
  20. Dennis, you know it may become pretty misleading without proper testing and time for checking the best from your settings out. Balcony tests are rubbish : ) Thanks anyway to hear especially from you (E : -)

Because you can have a better updated mirrorless camera body with you and save the phone device when the best acquisition tool is the one you can use it... As simple as that ; ) To be on budget doesn't mean to be restricted to a single budget, unless you are a high-school student living with and from resources of your own : -)
  23. Almost there ; ) I wouldn't pay much more for such in any way other than as pretext to charge more for my services ; -)
  24. They will surely release their X-H2 to expand their X-Trans IV introduction now; you'll pay 400 bucks for IBIS from Feb/March on, my best bet earlier than the 33mm f/1 bomb will be added to their lineup one year later: f/1.8 FF or 35mm equivalent without mention focal reducers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujifilm_X-Trans_sensor
  25. As much as f/2 on MFT or f/2.4 on APS-C (Fuji users tend to appreciate their 16-55mm f/2.8... but I second that one, man ; ) In any case, my 24-105 f/4 is one of my favs ever : -)
