  1. @IronFilm David, in the context of 2018, for sure. As we all know, guess or might wonder no feature film will choose such camera today. As same as we could write the same for a F900 series, as for instance. You pick up a camera for a feature based on some variables, somewhat into plain orthodoxy. Being innovation in the realm of digital, one of them. This doesn't exclude both camera models are still a myth and they can offer anything you want within the customary limitations by their own. Except as 2018 camera models they surely are not and never will be anymore as the tool of the year they were some years earlier (E :-)
  2. So their "True 4K UHD 8.3M Pixel resolution"* is BS to your book? * http://www.benq.us/product/projector/HT2550
  3. Trust me, RED cameras never end outdated :-)
  4. And that Samsung incursion was somewhat quite of an achievement... forgotten by the media. No matter how idle that lack of perspective on future still stands for their earlier adopters, after all.
  5. LOL Well... not me, man : ) I use TV or switch off the lights for... dark and a good film experience. Let's take the example of a film vs TV setup for shooting: one camera angle vs multicamera ; ) Lights is (no pun intended) for... :-D
  6. Post of the month... LOL ; ) Twice a month, I meant, for now :-D
  7. Dennis you and me, as usual always going after the same good mantra... LOL Funny enough, I think they should hire us for their consulting team for once... (E :-) <PS> For the most aerial guys ;-)
  8. Correct. Horses for courses.
  9. Jon, I think Matthew meant such ignoring mode underestimated the tool. People were surprised with Samsung's dare. Pity, ended too short.
  10. He's an industry runner, that's all. BTW, pilot still stands. Nothing beats the man behind, no matter what :-)
  11. @Matthew Hartman great post, man :-)

  14. Don, at one of his best... LOL Go on that Pana 100-400mm with crop and ETC mode and you'll end well beyond a thousand mm focal length away... Or use an inexpensive mirror zoom lens with that particular bokeh but for daylight :-) http://www.whatdigitalcamera.com/technology_guides/mirror-lens-what-is-it-and-how-does-it-work-64667 I also like the fast (f/2.8) Olympus 40-150mm for a friendly match with GH5 including autofocus too (add the native teleconverter* and you'll reach a perfect 210mm f/4): * http://www.getolympus.com/us/en/m-zuiko-digital-1-4x-teleconverter-mc-14.html Speriamo sia femmina... :-)
  15. I've posted this test in a few threads for about two years and a half now since these test results have popped up. You can also find a good discussion here:
  16. A pity, if so... a7RIII performance in this comparison test is simply a good revelation. Impressive. Seems this still stands though:
  17. Take a look on this: sample extracted from (minute 28:30): https://vimeo.com/114978513 Bit rate is more crucial than anything else...
  18. yeah, Sony colors require some tweaks by their own...
  19. ! That's truly a full tele mode, guys and gals! :-)
