I see you are clueless to whom you address your words. Go to his YT channel to see his entries before to infer anything, it is better ;-)

You are a good old sailor, so you give more in a post of yours than the output coming from hundreds of videos posted on YT by kids clueless on what they actually do ; ) Without mention their messages published there ;-)

Well, I bet we can minimize the issue with the right shutter speed anyway. Nice news on the overheating. That said, no idea why they don't call it a 5K video camera, after all... This camera puzzles me each day more; I think she is completely underrated... I find it even worse because it is by Panasonic marketing reps almost all them included, they should be the first ones to announce it to the world and this AF buzz episode only confirms my impression... Reason enough for them to clean the house, they do too little for this product... Joseph is a photographer, not a Panasonic rep; old dvxuser is also gone today with Jarred on RED; it is a shame I know all this information coming from another user on EOSHD (Andrew's brand agnostic corner or not!)

I didn't, I am not at home, I am with limited internet from here : ) 3 hours? WOW. And doesn't it overheat before to reach that? Some other helpful information I guess easy to confirm: 6K Photo mode works with electronic shutter, right? So, no wearing trouble later in the camera using 6K Photo mode, I guess. No shutter worn out in a few takes, I believe. And what about silent mode and that video I posted up there before? Have you checked any hassle out of it?
-
6K Photo mode seems rather interesting for video acquisition. The only information I am wondering about on the subject matter is how long 6K Photo mode (in both resolutions 4992 x 3744 in 4:3; 5184 x 3456 in 3:2) takes and how many seconds or minutes...
-
Touch to focus on the screen?
-
5184 x 1.33 (anamorphic adapter) = 6894,72 (2:1) actually 7K 5184 x 1.5 (anamorphic adapter) = 7776 (2.25:1) 4992 x 2 (anamorphic adapter or lens) = 9984 (2.66:1) that is 8970,58 (2.39:1) actually 9K Pretty interesting if you want a grab printed from a large format printer... BTW, is there any sort of AF going along the 6K photo mode? (I guess they've named it like that because of its usage on anamorphic video)
-
4992 tops wide, no matter the ratio? Just curious on the extra potential use of it as far as extension of a possible shot concerns.
-
My hat, had no idea. Actually, they should call it more 5K, once it is 5K wide, right? BTW, how many pixels wide? (only 3:2 and 4:3 ratios, correct?) Have you tested how long lasts before the overheating warning pops up?
-
Really very beautiful... Such sorta cinematic look, even when the highlights are there, go figure... If there was some way to workaround that circle bokeh (anyone there with any suggestion for a filter?) as happens when the subject not in focus only gives the blur without the circle bokeh, that would be a hell of a lens...
-
So, I guess they should call it 6K Film (MOS*), no? * https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOS_(filmmaking) (well, a film camera has no sync audio capture anyway, but it gives an idea on it)
-
BTW, once you have one GH5 unit too, would you mind to perform the test I've also asked to Ken? It would be nice to check out the findings from both of you :-)
-
How many seconds?
-
You mean tap to focus or that joke from that video? There's no magic button at all, AF system either. From older Panasonic technology, much harder to succeed. But, if touch to focus will be reliable without hunting, for sure, we can set the GH5 AF system under certain circumstances at convenience and make it shine when necessary. BTW, you have a GH5 unit with you. Do you mind to test it? Please, not the fastest settings like MY, OK? You have no need to keep previous tests reliable either... ; ) Your earlier tests will always match :-)

Fastest settings tested ain't anything helping to prevent the hunting hence pulsing. Please test all slower ones avaiIable. 2) 3) (from minute 13:23 on) https://youtu.be/BAuEmp3fKQI?t=803 (from minute 41:23 on) https://youtu.be/WSAc3hU1v3k?t=2483 But not prone to introduce hunting ! 4) http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?353650-GH5-Autofocus-Test&p=1986693286&viewfull=1#post1986693286 Please read carefully that and try different settings and setups in order to get rid of the issue. If 4K/60p or/and external recording helps, so why not too if we're looking for the best automatic or semi-automatic focus setup to work out?" Let's see if that makes it happen!

As Jon said, the man is stuck on the brand rep almost as much as that board where his lesson on the word confidance makes me feel much more confiante in my mother language as non-native English speaker :-D Last week... a fellow countryman of mine had published this comparison test shot almost side by side my Lisbon office BTW (no idea if already posted here):

Jingles is back... AF Sensitivity reduced to -3 in order to prevent hunting over the background. Speed is up trying to not become slow... With those so many Christmas lights in that tree will be hard to match those settings. That is, if you'll have the patience I don't have to follow 45 minutes of this soup of this and that to arrive to the same conclusion on tap to focus. Either way, still without clue if slower or the slowest settings will avoid hunting on that semi-auto focus mode as he names it, actually part of AF system with a range of settings which will vary the performance, I bet.

Here's another one pretty interesting to my book:
-
1) I like this one here -- no other camera does this at this resolution (4K/60p) for the price: @Neumann Films, Good one, Luke! 2) Can't have access.

Interesting night footage:
-
@andrgl, thanks for the heads up! LOL You made my Saturday night a way bit more funny, Lintelfilm! :-)

Now changing subject, here's some marvelous imagerie from this piece of work: Shot on 12-60mm f2.8-4 and 100-400mm f4-6.3 -- only two zoom lenses and here we all can go very light ;-)
