Domestic...? Yes, they have it: in China ;-) But they have some US connection as well.

C'mon guys, let's give a hand for this handy Q&A addressed to Ebrahim, the most prolific EOS HD contributor to pair Mattias and obviously Andrew... Here's my small contribution: http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/14890/kinefinity-terra-5k-6k-cameras-or-5k-for-under-5k/p1 E :-) [summary by David (Peterson) aka IronFilm:] "Terra 6K has the same sensor as KineMAX 6k Terra 5K: 5K 60FPS, 4K 100FPS, 3K 150FPS, 2K 200FPS Option of global shutter, native iso 800 15 stops DR with rolling shutter and dual gain mode 13 stops DR with global shutter RAW 12bit + ProRes 10bit internal recording, KineLog3, 2.5" SSD About the same size as a 5DIII (weighs less too, only 920grams) HDMI out with type A connector (big connector), 3.5mm Mic in SDI and XLR are there as well. New KINIMON and KINEGRIP 2 has also been released (uses Sony BP-U30 instead of Nikon EN-EL15 batteries). The 6K version costs slightly more (at around $5,400 US or 34,900 RMB on the Chinese mainland). It features 6K at up to 25fps, 4K at up to 100 fps and 2K at 225fps. KineFinity cameras can use standard off the shelf SSDs (like the BMPC4K does), so no need to waste your money on expensive MINI-MAGs like with RED cameras." Note: 15 stops and global shutter dual option only on Terra 5K.

I'll be at NAB, what would you like me to check out?
Emanuel replied to Jonesy Jones's topic in Cameras
I'd sincerely appreciate to have more and detail information on this product, as well, full price, etc a year later from such promising presentation: Here's more on topic: http://www.studiodaily.com/2015/04/smarter-focus-assist-andra-redrock-halo-preston/ -

No idea why only Halo Solo is listed: http://store.redrockmicro.com/Search-Results/?search=halo Where's that Intelligent Scene Mapping System monitor? -

The second video is coming from NAB 2016. Halo Solo is there. Just not demo footage... http://store.redrockmicro.com/halo.html -

What about Redrock Micro Halo Solo? Can you gather some information on topic, please? A footage demo -- not exactly the typical porn on the device, that would even be rather more useful... -
Now you already have the next generation: http://www.sony.com/electronics/cyber-shot-compact-cameras/dsc-rx10m3

Or somewhere between a joke and a scam. Jannard is not the owner, I bet. Just a funny rumor, my guess.

The Gospel by...

True. But, we all know the difference in-between. And you, as opinion maker, you well know the weight of your posts on the world wide web. Go figure a decade later when we still see aspiring manufacturers to mimic mainstream cameras of today (vaporware then, in the middle of the last decade) having pre-orders online from lurkers mostly as their primary business model. E :-)

Who are they? Names behind please. Georgia, US will likely mean not Chinese characters, I guess :-D Their website is well made, though. Convincing, at least.

Not every shooter needs "cinema" setups indeed... Aside the fact, low-budget may mean a different thing in the XXI century. That one is something the film world needs to adapt to. Writes an old film student from XX century :-)

Well, Andrew is not an anonymous poster anymore and GH5 sales will hardly compete with a raw camera but, for some buyers speculation on 6K / 4K@60p / internal 10-bit can "bring some noise to" real deals out there on potential customers. Usually, wise business men think twice when ask a loan from the bank.
-
No, you've actually lost my post : ) Not on yours but the point your post was addressed to. Speculation (not specs ; ) for wishful thinking specs from the deepest of our dreams doesn't help current reality sales such as I and you want to believe new Kinefinity Terra is able to get.
-
Let's balance positions, OK? ;-)
-
Even because this can bring some noise to Terra 5K sales, as for instance. And we need those guys to succeed :-)

Blackmagic View Assist 4K records 4K ProRes to SD card for just $895
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
True. But, this will put pressure in the market for under $1K price category to these devices, such as those ones you've mentioned. -
To be sincere, I had predicted (and expected) a new Pocket... Since a few days ago, I realized this will be the most boring event of the last years Aside the announcements of Kinefinity Terra 6K/5K (especially the HFR@higher resolution and the global shutter Blackmagic didn't deliver) and Orah 4i 360 degrees camera, as well, the promised and promising raw/firmware of a camera (FS5) which outcome has never broken my heart so far... That is, without mention a camera manufacturer (Craft) no one has ever heard before!

Should I wait for a blackmagic price Cut this summer?
Emanuel replied to muhammadahmad's topic in Cameras
To wait for NAB, at least, it has happened before... :-) -
Maybe yes, maybe not. I still think Blackmagic has finally a real competitor to enter in their own market field. And it also does seem they don't show off with vaporware a year earlier nor FPN or similar awkwards. Pocket 4K can be a plus for such race, out of competition, though.
-
Pocket 4K, I guess. They now have a Chinese brand to be concerned with...

It is fully refundable, isn't it? So, I guess that's not even a big deal for a small amount to begin with.

13 hours ago, christrad said: Sorry but apparently you didn't write the Vimeo comments of the owner who said how much he love his NX1 and is not in anyway disapointed by it but just "felt like it was time to try something new". Actually, that was my input there and his reply, respectively: "how have you found the difference with your new G7 toy?" Albert Fast 4 months ago: "G7 is lighter and smaller but lacks 100-120 fps slow motion and headphone jack. Different color science but comparable low light performance. Both great cameras!" In a personal note, in a way or another, I share the same perspective of him and many others (no matter the camp you play), to usually be open and straightforward : ) No football cheerleaders contest over here. By the way, it is an European who's writing it :-)
