  1. The argument covers both ways: (1) It can be a case of stolen ID. Unlikely to my perspective on facts we already have. (2) It can be only the case of a kid in the wrong side of his own path. I don't see any single fact to contradict but the latter one. On the contrary, I only see we risk to wrongly fail in the first route when we rest all we know on the case (I'm sorry a few of you but that's the way I see it; other than that, a devious plot, mere fantasy : ) His clumsy show off only addresses to match the character of a fantasist kid IMO; for some reason his mind immersed in anything somehow film related; call him a goofy storyteller as you wish :-) PS: I had a full experience of two years as lecturer in late 90s and beginning of last decade in two different renown institutions (a private University and a state Polytechnic Institute, respectively). I can recall the case of my students (a couple of them in their late teens or 20s) trying to cheat me with work made by someone else, their relatives, friends, suchlike. Ebrahim's case reminds me those stories. I had no patience to listen such cheating characters -- in one case, academic year of 2001-2002, a student tried to convince the Academic Board of her honesty against my well-grounded certitude (she had been unable to tell me basic details such as shutter speed/aperture/focal length etc used in her lovely photographic work to nail a professional sober look instead!), so, for some reason I dropped the towel and left a useless career after all.
  2. We can't compare with Zach. To each his own. We should never compare apples to oranges. Or as you wish, a health orange (sorry mate to compare you to an orange : D) to a rotten apple (the same to you, Ebrahim : ) It is not even fair to Zach or we can even call it dishonorable to the American kid. His FB message to Tomas is simply disgusting. But no one here says he is or we're expecting he may act as an angel. He's asking apologise for his actions. I defend he must have a second chance and a part of us, me, Ed and other ones here, we're fighting for his change! :-)
  3. I understand and agree with you. He can be not a friend of yours but he is one of us, both as member of this community and human being with flaws as all of us. To belong to a community is to accept everyone with their differences, even those ones we despise. You're lucky to be different of him in so many aspects, I am glad for you. But even a demon must have his chance for redemption. I give Ebrahim the benefit of doubt. I don't even believe he is a demon, not even close! :-)
  4. It is not the point. I am older than most part of you, trust me, I have seen many things you still learn with life. Sorry my lack of humbleness here but to see many of you to put this topic in B&W makes me to produce a condescending smile at times : ) The point is that no one, me, you and many others won't see a scammer to act like that, to not run away as for instance. I didn't mention his lies or whatever else. I only said, his input in his most recent posts. It is not Ed who has to prove you anything, they are the facts to confirm it :-)
  5. We should never mix his flaws (listen, nobody said he doesn't have a few of ones) with his goodwill to come back. Ed's fault? I also concur Ed and others here, even his detractors or others like Anthony (squig) or myself and many others, we all have tried and played our best in order to educate him. What's the beef with? None. Insight is part of the process. Is he a different man of all of us? He is surely different but one of us at same time. I believe a man can see his errors and change without looking back. This is known as growing up. That's what we have here. A kid trying to be man. First, also a smart ass. Now, more honorable than before. He had to have other guys to spank him and offer a lesson. Oh yeah, the old school method and the quickest road in order to make a man straight out the last traces of childhood. A dangerous mix we've seen in this kid.
  6. You can dislike him, your right : ) But, I'd like that any one of you could show us an example of a scammer behaving like him ;-)
  7. Let the dust to settle down. Give him a chance for self-improvement. This is to help!
  8. Take a look above-posted in my last post.
  9. I wouldn't rule out such possibility, indeed. But people with any kind of health problems need and deserve respect from everyone.
  10. OK, Ebrahim, you're doing your part now. Thanks. Past is past. Only present can stand corrected and you're doing your role to finish and be complied with the refund. It must be, of course. This is NOT proper of a scammer, OK? Any insult to be posted here is mere abuse and derogatory of the poster behind. I've seen the poster Ebrahim to lie without mention his crime but I've never seen him to insult any one of you, his detractors included. As same as all of his posts I've read for years. There's only a poster from his account, now I firmly believe so. This polite attitude has earned my respect and admiration. The humble tone and above all, his most recent posts. Oh yes, I'd feel comfortable to invite him to have dinner at my home now. And I'll be glad to meet him personally if/when there will be a chance for. Let him fulfill his word to everyone. A wise community is the one balanced and fair. He deserves a second chance as all of us when we are wrong. Who didn't commit a mistake in life? There are different grades for sure. To accept the difference is also a proof of decency. I'd even dare to write: M-A-N-D-A-T-O-R-Y. Don't ask what you can't give back.
  11. Now, there are two posts of the thread! Ex aequo :-)
  12. LOL Post of the thread! (For sure... ;-) (He's the guy!)
  13. I sent you a private message a couple of hours ago in order to help you out. Why haven't you answered yet? Much busy? ;-)
  14. Yes and no. The proof is that you committed a public crime, with years of membership in this community where you reached the highest rank beyond the owner of the site, hence the rage over here. What would you be expecting for? In the past, you'd have dozens of likes each neutral post of yours... LOL Who dares today?
  15. The most funny would be to conclude that assessment may be pretty accurate in the end. A bunch of international scammers. What a plot! LOL And you, Ebrahim, why don't you come here again to put your input in such fair doubts? ;-) No one can reasonably believe your grandpa ever posted over these pages, maybe he isn't even able to speak a word of English... What do you say on topic without any of that customary BS?
  16. He has also been referring himself as 21 and the supposed father/grandpa 63 in some other post IIRC, so I guess that 19 remark pops up from his outdated signature written two years ago, once he comes to be referred in some other sources as 21-year old individual. You see, Ebrahim? You've already become such a legend...! : D
  17. Proportionality. Seems the key word. Hey, isn't Timotheus one of the scammed ones? ;-) (Man, my 10-likes rate per day is already reached)
  18. Indeed. Interesting reading. Complex character, he is.
  19. Sorry mate but I don't buy such POV. It simply doesn't match my values : ) I've met people from all over the world. I've even defended "naive Westerners", such as a couple in vacations from a native town (coincidences happen!) of a good friend of mine now (made on dvxuser & reduser) from "third_world* demons" :-) So, dishonest people I find in all latitudes and longitudes. * Actually, they were native Romans to live in Rome.
  20. In such case, it would be more a case of professional help than a criminal case. So, let's have some pity on this dude, I guess, no? ;-)
  21. Well seen indeed. But, let's not buy the drama, OK? No clue what your experience, guys, in business is, as matter of fact, but more than twenty years of route in the industry tells me that you're more able to find crooks than honest people. So, that's life. He's just a kid, a smart ass, whatever bad names you want to call him, but he's just a flawed human being, after all. No need to fry him in a pan. Ebrahim, you're a lucky one... Imagine if you had lived this life in the middle age! ;-)
  22. Better Mods abstain to do anything. It is up to Andrew to do something if any. With ups and downs / downs and ups, IMO the thread goes very successful so far. There was a triple scam and the community has handled the matter on your behalf and in benefit of people getting scammed, as well, the scammer kid in order to provide him a fair lesson of life. It is up to him now and ever to succeed. PS: Funny, that's my 444 forum post, arrived here: *no more reason to cry out for banding free!* : D
  23. And this is addressed to your detractors, Ebrahim...
  24. Good advice to you, Ebrahim! Take advantage of this whole embarrassing situation. Now that everyone knows your story, you can even enlarge the basis of people with eyes on you. Once they're really curious on your talent or lack of it. Wanna more motivation? This must surely challenge you. Once again, everything is in your hands! :-)
