Love these head-butting arguments... people must embrace detail and exigence on the right approach to adopt. Less is not enough. Period. :- )
-
Then you're fine : ) Obviously knowing what you're doing, don't ask it from a slow aperture coupled with ;- )
-
I meant I guess this is the reason why people complain or worry about this camera, not exactly because its low light capabilities. The crop for getting slowmotion. On the other hand, for the newer ZV-E1 FF camera people will have access to 4K 120p with a minimum restriction under a meaningless crop but the concern then will be the overheating issues from the Sony's hammer... Phew :- )
-
The low light concern going on this camera is basically focused on crop 4K 120p for that purpose from the crop format per se already, I guess : ) Hence the YT video above-posted.
-
Time to test it extensively then... : D ;- )

Ditto. And only to testify it, at home, ALL members of the family notice it and complain against the Xiaomi's 'smart ' : D TV which is unable to know what realm of motion pictures fill the cup of educated people used to more than a century of such universe. The interesting part of the story is people truly need history of cinema to understand something while they don't need to appreciate classic movies to reject what looks like crappy dictatorship for real in turn. That's what I am supposed to realize from what I am used to hear back home without needing to be the first one to protest when the display misbehaves set from default. Stop the bloody automation. All made without scrutiny of an educated guess rather than humans invariably refusing to see themselves as stupid and claiming the need not necessarily just for once instead. No idea what each of both is more critical. :- )
-
To neglect motion, I wouldn't call it stupid instead, I'd call it to get the wrong end of the stick. It's not about style but intrinsic features related to the inherent traits of the medium. Motion is everything, it's the name of the game. In a word, language. - EAG :- )

I guess the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind, the answer is blowin' in the wind ; ) And this answer responds to your subsequent post @markr041, funny to say the least : ) That's what's going on when people forget one thing is to celebrate technology, something else is to ignore what fabrication means or we risk to end to make our stuff look like all of them the same. This is what everyone or the majority here is trying to tell the world. Nothing about dictatorship of taste or any beef against your videos, Mark. I am used to praise them posted. As tests, yes. As piece of aesthetics is a whole other subject. Point and shoot never brought anything special. There's need for elements those already mentioned. The technology constraints of past led those filmmakers before us to learn how to handle with. They established a language. No technology will reinvent the wheel because aesthetics depends on them but aesthetics is beyond. Just mediocracy can pop up when people kill the set of know-how available these other fella are trying to express it by their written words and examples mentioned. Aesthetics is complex. Requires form. This can be simple but not unusual-reducer. If this makes sense. Up-to-date cannot mean this. To lower the standard. « 'Democratization' of image making » is effectivelly a challenge itself. Open doors. Poor or to be poor is what it is, though. It's not because raspberries are available your strawberry milkshake will be any better. A skate on fragile thin-ice features is prone to end ruined. Cinema is the proposal of an alternative reality, truth or not, nothing else. Or it's not that. For something mismatched, dissimilar as chalk and cheese, call it some other name. - EAG :- )

This is a representation of reality... Invariably fake. There's no point to look like that's what our eyes take. - EAG :- )

Yeah that kind fills the cup of such new trend we have nowadays... the typical legacy the current generation has received from the path arrived here. - EAG :- )
-
I am speechless... this is ML cinema camera series 2.0. Yes indeed, this deserves every single donation they can raise. It is the very least decent thing we all users can do. - EAG :- )
-
Buy a couple of units and you'll double everything ;- )
-
For sure, I was just making fun from his findings anyway but it's some testing at least... Gordon Laing has succeeded to reach 52 minutes going with 4K50p on his turn... This is anything but a travel camera after all, it is what it is :- )
-
Well, in black ; ) this guy says he has tested it under 24ºC 4K 24p and lasts more than a couple of hours reduced to a 1/4 when the frame rate is increased 2.5x... The trick is going cinematic all way round and better accept the workaround : D

Panasonic S5 II (What does Panasonic have up their sleeve?)
Emanuel replied to newfoundmass's topic in Cameras
For sure if hardly yesterday unless going with SD video, go figure today... -

4K120p crop from a previous crop per se from FF by itself placed me out of the FX30 deal : ) Hard now when looks like is able to handle about 50 minutes of 4K50p, let's see what happens then ; ) People are getting FF on Sony side (a7R) for 400 bucks some used units, seems crazy to keep it (so) simple :- )

Interesting thread as usual ; ) P4K when not P6K (as used in some major work already posted along these boards) GX85 which replaced a few G7 bodies still ready to work (better to not ask for the rest of the collection! LOL) Canon M (ML RAW obviously) Osmo Pocket 2 Insta360 One X2 OnePlus 9 Pro as real pocket one : D R5C to come soon maybe (and most probably) ZV-E1 because I don't see any better travel cam these days Cerise on top: GoPro 11 or perhaps 12 from September on, as ultimate upgrade of that couple of units (version 10 already sold) for 3D stereo acquisition...

To my view this is a hell of a new tool from what they promise to deliver. Looks like AI is coming to stay also for these capture devices. That one-(wo)man-show Morocco footage stands such point, you can mark it oh boy, once it's not easy to find a better travel FF camera, let's not forget, in the least. http://thenewcamera.com/sony-zv-e1-vs-sony-fx30/ https://mirrorlesscomparison.com/sony-vs-sony/zv-e1-vs-a7s-iii/

We're adopting it very likely...

Right, 60p gives good cinematic outcome, when slowmo comes to the equation... : D But wait, is it supposed YT to be or look cine-like? As designed for small screen form factor such as mobile phones and alike?!
-
All looks fine but 4K 120fps crop pops terrible under low light, that's my beef with and bet on R5C instead : ) Hence I didn't pull the trigger...

@Kisaha@92F Sarah Jeanette Connor was sane after all ;- )

I am curious now, thanks for the tip @Chxfgb : ) Can you link it where this has been written?
