It is called silent consent or tacit approval. Generally working out everywhere. Mainly for art purposes, excluding ads (not necessarily but when there's a direct profit taken from some personality/image rights usage). Based on personality rights we have about deliberate public exposure. Granted when people are aware to be in a public location. Hidden cameras, in theory, could bring some discussion on that anyway. However, IMHO doesn't exclude it either from the public space anyway. All about the usage of that. I've already used this argument whenever needed. It's all about the way you'll use the footage. Writes a filmmaker with law school/legal career background as far as these legal issues concern too. - EAG

Here from same usual also EOSHD member @Tito Ferradans here's this entry: https://blazarlens.com/ This OP here says that's the only low-budget anamorphic lens that has convinced so far... Any takers out there from these pages?

@kye You should dedicate yourself to professional filmmaking, you're a way ahead of lots of them, really :- )

I also bought mine for same price in 2018 when went to the private vendor to buy a 35-100mm f/2.8 zoom and left with a GX85 and FZ1000 for extra 300 euros :- )

@SRV1981 Only a couple of hours earlier posted on YT, I thought you had spread it over here...

Horses for courses... I bet it works for what you're doing but not for every kind of gigs or outcome for sure. As above-mentioned, many distinct realms for camera work.

People tend to forget/ignore acquisition and delivery are not even in the same ballpark... ;- ) - EAG

And for those who have multiple camera ecosystems... I usually take with me several camera brands with me, so. Menus are an unnecessary distraction. I understand there are distinct footprints of demanding, of course. We cannot compare certain work addressed to big screen with that content made for YT, for example. But. For a certain level? Time makes a whole of a difference. Means a loss somewhere else. - EAG

Camera design with no shooting experience as primary background is pure nonsense. This venture is not for geeks. - EAG

No idea if you've read this input from @Andrew Reid (haven't seen linked it here yet anyway) as well, here is: https://www.eoshd.com/news/canon-eos-r5-mark-ii-has-a-cooling-fan-and-a-ridiculous-price-tag/

Puzzles me how a camera can be the best capture device out there as that YT entry seems to make us believe when overheats like a toaster without remedy...

What version @kye? G2 or the previous one? The more I use their cameras, the more I appreciate this brand. - EAG :- )

Who here too? These manufacturers we're used to praise here other than - maybe - a few if any? (for some reason Blackmagic cameras are a graceful exception with their intuitive user interface) ...are killing the pleasure of photography. This is a science and art born a way before these idiots have been born. We only need three commands to control aperture, shutter speed and sensitivity. Eventually a SINGLE menu for electronic/feature/recording modes when applicable such as AF, stabilization, etc., and that's it! Full stop. Other than that, go to hell with your bloody menus! End of story. Users need time for the craft in order to develop creative skills and create stuff, not handling electronics strictly proper of a moron or a geek in the photography world. Pick one but don't call yourself a shooter.

Form. The guy says form is worthless. And at same time, the basics of any beginning as sorta raw material that it is. There are two 'Yes' and 'No' options. The fourth is made for those ones informed but not endorsing it ; ) The only bias I see or can accept is when the OP : D calls them old school... which is actually different to infer those people as old fashioned anyway. Hence the ecletic meaning of the use of the term old school there. : P Old school is for informed people being the OP one of them ; ) However, this doesn't mean an old school guy cannot adopt a promising technology like this one. So, not everyone of them are represented there. If this is a biased opinion, let's embrace the bias then! LOL ;- )
-
Let's go then. Where's the bias? You accurately pointed out the 1st ones. The third option is for those who haven't heard about it but are not so much impressed to give it a try. The fourth one is clearly addressed to those who don't give a damn. Don't get where grammar applies here... Looks to me a bad review of Yeats' poetry based on his Irish ancestry instead. The example to pop up to my mind now. Old school in this context means a strict mindset on topic where people who tend to see it as a mere hype, don't see any valuable use nowhere. So, a position also represented (*with)in the poll. We can obviously include many variables (as happens above-posted by a third hand too BTW). Give the same script to distinct directors, you'll have different movies. The point is when people who have added zero to the equation just for the sake of the topic, come to criticise without adding anything to the discussion either. Thanks for your polite reply, - EAG :- ) * English grammar (like any other language grammar proper of any communication code) is dynamic. Nothing about that : ) A bit like elitism... leads to no place (I could use it 'nowhere' again but no skills beats the essence of it. Have you ever watched it? I invite you then ; )
-
Really? What about that then? Let's spill your beans... what stops you to add anything value to the topic instead, mmm?! ; ) I simply hate when lazy people who have just added zero to any discussion come to simply criticize whoever (it's meaningless to be me BTW, trust me, but that gives me more right to address to the critical voice these words now) with none grounds to their claim. Pity you were not my student at University or Polytechnic or you'd have to repeat the academic year... Now you know what I have to say to you for the subject matter, I invite you to drop your trousers and let us know what polls you are capable to offer! Phew : X

The camera of the future is NOT full frame with a prime lens
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Where? Can you post a link, please? :- ) -
Very true... : ) I have found those APS-C format 16mm & 20mm f/2.8 pancake native lenses both interesting options to also take advantage on Clear Image Zoom/crop modes on Sony FF side too, though. People are used to criticize the optical performance in the corners but character and form factor are no less priceless aspects to consider especially when handling motion.

...in these last decades as ever before or will, at least about the medium as we've known so far...

Here's my take: Any other lovers of yours? :- )
