  1. I am curious to see the use of LUTs as for instance to increasingly pop up now to pair through novel computational tools such as the recent arrival of those called cinematic gimmicks -- here's more entirely shot with :- )
  2. This is asking for some love for everyone who loves pictures:
  3. For sure : ) Any suggestions for other similar products also on (such low) budget?
  4. * sound quality test by Marco Prova Tuttohe source
  5. Here's one contribution: https://www.sabinetek.com/ They even say they are better than their competitors: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0251/2984/4826/files/comparison_1.mp4?v=1632973487 I'd just appreciate to listen more from the usual sound makers over here :- )
  6. In that comparison review versus the a7SIII up there, iPhone 13 Pro main camera could actually shine against, though.
  7. I'd say light (= time) and variable dimension texture (= space) where DOF game enters, they are for professional use, well, anything you're able to make a living from is for that intended use ; ) And yes, nonintrusive capture devices are 'the' one camera you have in hands possible to give you that shot you're looking for and no other produces :- )
  8. Two majors AFAIK: 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes coupled to that incredible main camera versus the leftover where a tiny sensor size definitely will never help and that ZV-E10 is such a fine example.
  9. As every tool in filmmaking, content, production values and the shooter to know how to raise the craft with the available tools still count ; ) Reason why fancy computational photography will bring more stuff like this or that (mute it!) when explored within its limits such as here or there... or yet contained in this article on their 'cinematic mode' but not to necessarily fit every single case for sure : X besides it is more prone to fail than the reverse. Side by side as 'the' new cinematic game changer camera -- herein, the official Whodunnit beyond the Kathryn Bigelow's Hollywood In Your Pocket (BTS here) or/and some other unofficial fragile attempts, when not backed by the brand nor talented craftspeople using the tools as audience standards blatantly stand. Here's why this replaces next to nothing. There's always how to tune it more accordingly in any way whatsoever. To my liking, the lack of 4K 120fps nowadays is a deal breaker -- my OnePlus 9 Pro adds it to the cinematic mode aka portrait mode or still the option to lock the exposure too! That said, main camera's low light top performance already seen from that Taipei sample, coupled to 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes in this Toronto footage, I guess, or the Big Apple, among many others for sure, clearly put it at a higher bar even though not at the (pristine) ZV-E10 level, no doubt that both are the typical no-brainer. - EAG
  10. Love the Brits Part II: ...their music and approach to everything related to stuff they pioneer about, such as this web corner is : ) (BTW just arrived to UK residency so who knows one of these days I had to write we ? ;- )
  11. What a sweet gadget, had no idea about its existence, irresistible order :- )
  12. That's an amazing camera, used for this piece brilliant shot with, a British feature film I produced in 2013: EAG :- )
  13. They're used to let shills (like this one when not manufacturer demos such as here) to infer they "review" them. For that price, I couldn't help myself and pulled the trigger. I can publish here a test as soon as I'll have it in my hands. Indemand now as predicted.
  14. Well, surely not the lightest unless to your wallet ; ) ...but there are other differences comparing with its closer competitor SliderMini 2 (impressive load capacity BTW) Any others?
  15. What about that? 9 hours left... Comes from here: ...but seems to deserve its own thread ;- )
  16. Mandorla... I remember that: https://www.eoshd.com/creative-filmmaking/shooting-a-feature-with-the-panasonic-gh2-and-lomo-anamorphic-lenses/ Andrew doesn't need to make anything else to be the inspiration his pioneer work as influencer before many others has been for so many other people as much as Jonas Mekas I had the pleasure to personally meet was for previous generations and still is. I even think Andrew must be careful because he has a legacy to defend and this must be preserved. EAG :- )
  17. Found this, 11 hours to go on IGG before to become available (or not) through indemand route, I suppose, in any case I wonder how many from you have any thoughts about? More EOSHD valuable info on topic here and there.
  18. There's no other location like this one today, no kudos are enough to express it, I feel it invariably underestimated... I don't even think anyone including Andrew can comprehend the whole extent of the impact of his work and legacy as one of the first original influencers of this segment of the camera scene : ) This is a truly indie home where there's always place for filmmakers to come first. Where else nowadays? Industry ties don't hang out really well with free spirits. Priceless affordable tools for creators don't rule when business aspects prevail. Andrew has created something completely unique to get rid us of all the customary useless paid crap. Frankly, I don't see us living without the standards EOSHD has become us used to. It would be a sad world in/for this craft without it. Pretty sincerely, EAG :- )
  19. The major point is small cameras are changing the cinema and its aesthetics... since the beginning of the second half of the last century : X
  20. I can even-fully-understand... ...be with you ...and follow the (digital) mantra : ) though, every form factor has a magic of its own... ;- ) - EAG
  21. Ditto. No idea why they miss 4K 120fps anyway... Had to buy the €700 OnePlus 9 Pro instead. without mention my 2020 ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro without locking the exposure at that frame rate though : ( https://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_13_pro-11102.php
  22. It's coming from here: Any thoughts? Poll has no none option, so whether you choose one or another, or yet none, you're welcome to tell your readers why or anything else you want on topic :- )
  23. PS (5 minutes is too short to add anything to a post anyway : ) At EF end there are good glass samples so I believe you won't need to worry too much about (focus on the leftover instead ; ) it's just to know how to choose the best tools to fit your cup -- here's a good resource (Bryan Carnathan is your host) where you can compare a variety of options you have: https://www.the-digital-picture.com/
