Me too! : ) To those to whom it may concern to think that cameras ordinarily replace each other... here's why not: if in the 1st case you need to discount the nonsensical different lens focal length setup also obviously available going along the GoPro route... in this 2nd test you'll fairly realize why I am a proud Osmo Pocket supporter and owner... or recently bought (received my 2nd unit yesterday!) another action camera -- oh yeah, from another camera maker (take a look on this 3rd one ; ) No matter how many new models are introduced by some other manufacturers and may continuously plan to still use them all as well... because of that neat principle in the shooting world: horses for courses ;- )

I dunno, I've learned something: Don't wait for next camera anymore! EAG :- )

A couple of them coming... I am not sure if you yet realize THIS is the best capture device ever (4K 120fps) for 3D acquisition in 2021, considering the size and price I invite everyone to test and you will all remember these words from now on ;- ) We'll be testing this weekend 2x Insta360 Go2 on a Mini 2 because of its 26.5g 0.935oz x2 capability, here's an interesting test from another shooter up to 10oz to certify also handling the weight for Go Pro mounted there, be ready for: EAG :- )
-
So didn't you test the 4K 120fps capability yet @jpfilmz?
-
And I'll be following up your findings, thanks! :- )
-
I had no idea this was out here already, I believe you've just placed a new order to pop up from my end here now... @jpfilmz what about 4K 120fps?
-
These boards are more entertaining than a lot of Hollywood stuff ready for ; ) C'mon guys let's not forget this: I feel myself tempted to buy one or suggest the beast at least every moment people ask me for the best standard capture device to go with on a set : ) I think this becomes now the cinema camera by excellence now!

What a hell of a deal! (E :- )
-
That's the hell of a combo, this makes this solution the best one all around available these days IMO :- )

I don't doubt it will be something to follow up, even though overpriced. Hey, I wrote "manual exposure" mode between commas : D The whole point is if we have more than exposure compensation to adjust... If only so, it's useless, once to be able to lock it, this won't give us control over the shutter speed: ...plain crucial to manage flickering under bulbs.
-
Thanks : ) Any idea on the "manual exposure" mode? How much is it... "adjustable"? Any control on the shutter speed? Any flicker-free settings available or is the glass half empty after all?

Artificial voices generated from text. The future of video narration?
Emanuel replied to Happy Daze's topic in Cameras
Anyone has experience with this one here? https://speechelo.com -
I've just received an update from a client of mine wondering about the same and seems there are good news: it actually does! Is manual exposure confirmed on 4K 120fps capture...? Now just needs to know if... with sound recording along 4K 120fps simultaneously too?

Hasselblad cooperation resulting on accurate CS with raw photo capture & 8K 30p & 4K 120fps video specs Anyone knows once the option of 120fps is available under the 'video mode' (not under the 'slow motion mode'), if we have manual exposure control on 4K 120fps as well?

As far as I could learn from my own testing, I guess H.265 actually serves not only for storage savings. Seems 10-bit has a determinant role to play on IQ as well. Luminance-wise other than colour. E :- )
-
Thank you for telling us about your findings : ) Actually, I cannot now anymore once this test was already produced a few time ago when I was trying to understand the advantage as well as its limits on the newer H.265, B&W included from prior recorded footage. I concur with you, I always try to compare the variables following identical parameters despite my unscientific disclaimer at any rate : ) Earlier I had found good results on human faces for H.265, not so much details regarding the background. These gave me a much sharper outcome there too and jaggies free going beyond my own expectations then, comparing with my previous experience with. I believe because I ended with the same/similar bitrate this time.
-
From '30s Weissmuller's Tarzan on nowadays 1080p B&W copy: 8-bit H.264 10-bit H.265 Similar bitrate. Different jagged edges though ; ) Out of curiosity, any other samples and takers... out there? ;- )

Zombie thread but never useless topic at all, as much as cameras or any of them will ever be ; ) Welcome aboard :- )

What about a much more portable solution always very handy post lockdown period to come based on 16GB VRAM in the meantime?
