Good question... Any takers? :- ) -
Canon EOS R5 overheating vs Panasonic S1H and Sigma Fp designs
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Indeed, this is really impressive: Here's another comparison as food for thought: -
These cameras are the most affordable filmmaking deal ever... AF related included ;- ) Can anyone be outside of this offer even today? - E. (Pocket cameras lover and Canon shooter as well, owner of 11 Panny still kickin' today)
-
I hope everything will end okay, I still have my money with them.
-
This is a hell of a tool! Or a heaven as wish ; ) Sorry to always come here and say the same thing but this is completely underrated because this add-on puts the Pocket camera series (the best cinema capture devices ever! : ) at a whole different level (E :- )

Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
The digital world is a giant step in the history of the humankind and this story is the finest proof of it. It's a collective effort to prove we consumers together are stronger than corporations when there is a cooperative process as basis. Reason why we must invariably focus on a common goal rather than mere trivia. We can only risk to succeed when then. Ethics apply, of course, but remember they also vary accordingly the angle from. Hence we have to know very well where we are and what position we stand. - E. -
Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern

Hope the positive side will play a trump over, I mean this one here haha ; ) This is not a Canon camera series anymore ; ) but the credits are half part of this community, you included : ) I will never forget it when I'll be using my R5 to come. I want to believe the same for every user who will end to read this workaround in these pages as well. Long life to free press ! E :- ) -
Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern

This is your contribution too, Andrew. Without independent voices and will to overcome it, they would only have whatever they want to offer us. So I guess everyone here (with a special place in this industry) has deservedly earned kudos for it :- ) -
Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern

The most tasteful achievements are often harder to get and the most laborious to make a special course of its/their own ; ) At least, they give you a chance to be helpful to your community in a different tone the good boys seem not prone to let it happen ;- ) EOSHD forum/blog are part now of this (unique and) outstanding process if we get a way to arrive well in the end, we all hope : ) Well, I love mods though, part of the business. This is our add-on, if not what we're doing as players of the craft there? : P This industry is made of solutions found by men and women, not only bills paid to buy gear. I don't mind when there's a happy end to such plot, offers a value added to a different level of expertise like yours or Magic Lantern guys or some others to give sense of what a community of users means, I praise the fact anyways. This is a democratic new form to live filmmaking and technology in general. Glad to be alive and kicking these days! :- ] -
Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern

Seems solved, then? With the last updated firmware version? Won't they cut it with a next update? If so, this is TRULY remarkable and I think it's fair this camera may happen to be connected for good reasons with this web corner in a positive manner now : ) Made history, pretty revolutionary device... :- ) -
And not Canon branded?

Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
For sure and no, I don't have it as written, hence my "if" :- ) -
I am confused now... source From this 2017 list here? source Or is the accurate one this other one here? source

Canon EOS R5 / R6 overheating timers, workarounds, and Magic Lantern
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
WOW If it steadily works, I'll buy immediately one! : P No other brand will offer the same bomb pack for soon or next months/year to come... My most fair bet based on three decades of camera releases ;- ) -
Well, a baptism of pro version, very of my own... hehe I guess it is already named now, hey @BTM_Pix ; ) that's really a much promising professional tool indeed ;- ]
-
2nd version all way long, Mark ; ) This is the announcement of the year! Seems even funny how people out there are focused on minor releases when we have this one here to let a pure cinema camera such as the Pocket series... Filmmakers won't find any better combo wherever else : P Writes someone handling cameras professionally for three decades now (E :- )
-
Man, I am impressed, so I'm eager for your news on the Pro version to include the tracking mode.
-
I agree on the form factor. Ergonomics, lightweight... can do the whole difference for both ends. Even though, that 1-stop of difference can be the culprit.
-
PS: Mere lens weight can interfere in the outcome...
-
I guess from not identical lenses, hence my wondering... Because if so, that's a truly mistake from tester's side.
-
It is because there was another thread now closed where Ed had no chance to respond to an invective from discussions 5 years old, go figure... Well, I'd just love we can all be as friendly as we can. We are here to share the presence of each other, not for fighting back from a distant keyboard anywhere else. Only points made should count. And it's hard to follow many facts outside of this bubble indeed.
-
No worries : ) Important is to keep information up. S5 IBIS performance has surprised me against S1H. I wonder if the tester used identical stabilized lenses in fact.
-
Right. S5. The lack of capital letters from your side to begin the periods and their verbiage on their many different camera model version additions made my mess, very true : ) Thanks for correcting and bringing me back to track :- )
-
The only one in this same page :- )
