Removing internal battery resets EOS R5 overheat timer

No worries, I promise to keep it secret. No one will know it from my side. I can't say the same for the others here, I'm sorry (Cannot doesn't, but we will on their behalf, deal? ;- ) https://hackaday.com/2020/04/24/a-cr2032-battery-eliminator/ -

C'mon, no need to you apology : ) This is a big company, I doubt they would ever do it. They simply don't give a damn. You don't want it, don't buy it. As simple as that in their mind. And they will even address a smile to you in the end. That's the way it works. -

This is not a defective product, just a crippled one, let's call it the right terminology. -

It does : ) C line cameras cost much more, we've been shooting with one (C500) these days... Aside the fact Panasonic built a tank instead ; ) Once Panasonic customer, their client forever. E :- ) -

What extent this can work out as mod letting the camera flow as a regular capture device as any other camera, now? -
I am impressed with their customer support response. Never had anything similar before... : ) Well, aside a certain Irish company on innovative accessories for filmmakers ; ) every EOSHD can trust on. An example for every manufacturer. I firmly recommend them.

Canon EOS R5 overheated in my fridge! After just 60 JPEGs! (4 °C ambient)
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
It requires more than a single intervention but a full mod. -
What an achievement dudes, this guy is one of us!

Man, I am proud of you, great demo (without mention the empty bottles in pandemic days... LOL : ) the customary suspects aka major manufacturers will be envious about you, count on it! Jokes aside then... (1) can we set the smoothness of the focus speed BTW? (2) Will we have that usual small green AF square/rectangle to set the subject or zone to focus as we wish or random focus is everything we can expect for? (I guess not or those buttons won't be there but I can't wait to test how handy this system can become P4K/PK6 even more attractive than they already are... & with a simple gimbal, overheatingproof! : D) (3) Can we alternate with the native touch to focus and vice versa? E :- )

No more secret perks once they were only reserved for the first 1000 early adopters. Now already solved for the first early adopters, proud as part of them. By the way, they reached over $700,000 in the first 24 hours! Only 19 units left for 18% discounted $649. A foot note as their loyal customer and my personal advice: Great support BTW :- )

Objectivity is invariably a weapon and a good one of ours to base credible grounds about. Keep going your hard work to let it up and flow... Truth comes to the surface, no matter what or where they want to go with their BS. More than lies, they're damaging their reputation with crippling policies against who put the food on their table. Canon professional clientele can't be happy. They designed that thing on that purpose. To overheat.

Sigma needs to offer slowmo @ higher res & Panny decent/competitive AF, now... unless a certain Irish mod(s) supplier ; ) may give us a new birth to the P6K/P4K series... ;- )

I bought a Canon EOS R5 - potential overheating solutions
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
They've just "fixed" the deal breaker for my non-existent purchase until they or anyone will overcome the issue, this is a mere toy : ) A joke, a bad joke (but by misfortune, not mine ;- ) They put us to hate the brand, so it is such an achievement... : X -

That's my hope but they would deserve to have anyone to earn money directly from their backyard. Maybe next time they would think twice before to underestimate their own clientele. Without mention they would probably act faster if so. Some pressure on them and other contenders to take a piece of their cake is not useless at all. Everyone would take advantage, except them. -

We should find anyone able to supply us a mod to overcome the issue instead :- )
