haha right ; ) good maths : ) Crops are reasonable taken from 12K resolution native files. We have made tests comparing with other 4K and 6K BMD acquisition tools in-house and there's definitely an add-on to extract from there :- ) Not their stuff made in there natively to suppose with Stuart's claim? "According to Stuart, the sensor was engineered in-house by Blackmagic Design and its development required a considerable amount of time, especially because the company doesn’t want to comprise on dynamic range (claimed DR: 16 stops)." source

But I have one (12K) I bought in Singapore for less than €3000... I don't cry for every single penny left there. Amazing capture machine... : ) Multiple applications, it's currently used for film transfer (8mm/16mm mainly).

Expect full time immersion, no weekends no holidays and yes, you can be a content producer. You said YouTube? Hundreds, thousands, millions of examples... so good luck! ; ) Here's a good source to begin with your market case study: https://socialblade.com/ You said micro budget features? Crowdfunding is your partner. EAG :- )

@SRV1981 That's the point: there's no other like a dedicated camera! 'Smartphone engineers' and respective applied technology inherent have no much to praise strictly from taking pleasure to produce pictures with their contribution or the common man realm as target. They look like all the part of the elephant in a china store... ;- )
-
In fact : ) @SRV1981 has a notorious bias in favor of 'iphonegraphy'... LOL ; ) I have nothing against anything but a camera designed to only be a camera is like a woman who has born a native woman (same example serves for a man or a different species) versus any other version else ;- ) What about overheating BTW, comparing both versions of same... *cough cough* : D nature? Disclaimer: That said, overheating is something to drive me off similar 'projects' of capture devices! :- )

Selling some of my camera cupboard in Berlin (shipping throughout Europe)
Emanuel replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
WOW That's a hell of a sale! : ) And IMHO with some relevant extra add-on priceless value, because comes from some camera user and worldwide camera industry personality/player like you, @Andrew Reid! -
Indeed. The only minus I see on one of my fav devices today is the lack of tele range...
-
(but... ; ) so far so good?! LOL

Yes, overheating is exactly my concern, even though with the SSD attached no idea if the issue stands the same way?

In fact that ProRes detail is something... ; ) This year I had to enter in a summer music festival as mere public audience participant instead for last minute ticket/invitation other than media accreditation as usual and guess what? We had to struggle against the security staff to allow us enter with our camera lenses and hide teles in the middle of wide angle and 50mm primes... Osmo Pocket 3 is a hell of a device to literally come with us any time in our pocket, but I obviously missed that: The fact we can use something like this for a teleobjective is also huge once forbidden to use them.

Is this now I will buy one?

Is the best 360º offer on budget as of today? Ready for testing one :- )

Yes, looks like nothing has changed at least as far as the competition concerns... GoPro Hero 13 Low Light vs Insta360 Ace Pro, Hero 12, DJI Action 4 - YouTube

Don't be selfish for Christ's sake! Two. LOL ;- )

Crazy age we live all in.

It is called silent consent or tacit approval. Generally working out everywhere. Mainly for art purposes, excluding ads (not necessarily but when there's a direct profit taken from some personality/image rights usage). Based on personality rights we have about deliberate public exposure. Granted when people are aware to be in a public location. Hidden cameras, in theory, could bring some discussion on that anyway. However, IMHO doesn't exclude it either from the public space anyway. All about the usage of that. I've already used this argument whenever needed. It's all about the way you'll use the footage. Writes a filmmaker with law school/legal career background as far as these legal issues concern too. - EAG
