Exactly for the same reason the user up there is wondering about. Horses for courses. One doesn't exclude any other. This works to people posting, the same way to gear. We can mimic any look out there, of course. RAW and/or a robust codec will allow it but each camera has its own intrinsic trace and this can be explored in a very plural creative way. I don't think all cameras produce the same results. When I recommend some device or workflow for a production of mine or to others, it is because of that singularity you can only expect from a diverse range of combinations as much as possible you'll enrich your content. - E.

Andrew, mate, and I am even abstaining of any comment in that struggle in those threads out there, go figure! LOL No likes, nothing. More fuel to the thing, why? I believe these boards must chill out. I personally don't like to read any personal attacks, let alone to you or anyone else. I humbly think you're not in the best of your moods tonight : ) and no matter the divergence we can all have to each other (I don't mean you and me but any of us), we are all different people, we cannot expect to see from someone else's keyboard what we'd like to read or write instead. You're the only webmaster, we are all here for fun, after all, no other pay off : -) That my post in this thread is about the topic I believe the majority of us appreciate to read from you: cameras related. No secondary (mis)interpretation(s). So, you open this thread. My wonder: why and what single advantage you're willing to show us with that combo? Sincerely interested to hear/read/spot your finds. Hence my comment before. Is it really worthy? Nothing against photos of more gear as further add-ons to our rigs. But you should be blamed for your incentive to more purchases, you know? : D BTW any plans to post some footage of that GFX 100 Ninja V you decide now to tease your guests? Be careful with that mouth watering : P Hard to be indifferent to your posts, provocative publisher... hehe Please keep this beloved forum (so yours, I consider it a bit mine or ours as well) as friendly as ever. Keep up the best of your good word, thanks man and enough deep pockets, shame on that ; -) Let's be positive and avoid private yadda yadda, especially when ends bitter and nonsense then. Life is too precious to be wasted. - E.

A Ninja V used as monitor for sure not ; ) What about to increase the codec potentiality to overcome it? Isn't it the reason why you seem to be surrendered now to add an external recorder there and extend the range? Tell me you, then. What for that if not? : -)

This thread can help you out there:
-
Funny, I am used to say and find any CS trace, their character trait beyond the respective camera/manufacturer. Am still able to confirm it.

I concur that MFT format is actually priceless and this current price now is much more indie friendly but aside that, they're practically the same camera just along two different image resolutions and sensor sizes, respectively. Never had seen anything even closer. You still have Luca's, anyway: This device is a must, the Jim Jannard's promise fulfilled today, I'd dare to add : -)
-
No idea why, you don't find anything better for such price range. Even for higher, I'd dare to state, follows this impression of mine : -)
-
Because at times people post stuff related to P6K in the other thread...
-
The best capture tool nowadays IMO as we all know LOL : -)
-
Very true. I can confirm I've reached you through private message to mention it and you've never told me to not do it. Point made. Censorship only hurts free information and legitimate users' interest. - E.

Unfair to say the least. Even because no one has ever blocked or refrained anyone to post here their content. I am a solid witness of this friendly EOSHD policy. - E : -)
-
Yeah, and I guess variable bitrate might also be helpful in order to overcome potential issues.
-
Still in the process. I'll open a thread on topic in the footage section : -)

Of course, this camera can be as much cinematic as any other with similar specs and from talented handling ; ) However, I've seen very promising combo this time. The same for their new smartphone BTW, except the 4/60p you can find on the Xperia 1 II sales they're somehow protecting to couple the rest of their cameras range, I guess. Or overheating may be sorta issue from such 1" sensor and compact package, I wonder. And how can we ever see some similar sensor size going along a smartphone with heat dissipation?
-
Ah Araldite, one of my first lovers...
-
Agreed, their 1 Mark II name is pretty nonsense, unless they plan to strongly bet on different series of same kind. Actually, they have it but their smartphones lineup is weak. What surprises me is how they are delivering great consumer tools for pro usage. A very good surprise indeed.
-
You know who will be your number one, correct? The accessory launch of the year IMO ; -)

https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_1_ii-review-2115p6.php Several sample tests there either on video or stills... Here's another one where softness is going mobile now BTW SOC works! ; )
-
So why are we, both of us, waiting for that new Samsung's 150-megapixel nonacell-based sensor? Because of no less driving a hybrid-cinematic-fisherman's tool to couple those terrific Android filmic apps, isn't? ; -)
-
Don't underrate this one, because that's a pretty milestone. Cinematic outcome going along affordable is not even anything new : ) Jurij, ain't you the guy claiming for 1" sensor smartphone side? Hard to follow you : -) Take a look on 5:33/5:34 minute and how they've improved their CS on this one: IMO it can work out as a perfect vlog/pocket camera BTW, kudos to Sony and their customers with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. To my taste, the beef looks like the absence of 4K/60p nobody seems to care... Now let's wait for DJI with the next Osmo Pocket ; -)

Panasonic S1H review / hands-on - a true 6K full frame cinema camera

LOL Right : ) I mean the way their distinct CS contribution handles the output from : -) -

Well, I'd just tend to disagree on that one anyway... : ) I immediately get when find the greenish Panny's sensor trace behind and my eyes don't "feel" the same from Aussies' footage ; -) -

What's your input versus P6K BTW Dennis @deezid?
