LOL Annoying before to getting fine, isn't it? It's living with or leave it! : ) What is unique is this combo to give that characteristic touch/look by its own: There's no simply competitor at this such small camera segment level, useless to look for anything else.
-
Yes, it's Yale. It's 1/48th or 1/120th shutter speed to match the 180º angle. Osmo Pocket 3 has a gimbal incorporated in its camera system. Here you have a fair comparison although I woudn't use their low light setting but just 8K mode for taking advantage of the resolution increase (seems a paradox but the balance ends differently...):

LOL You already have it, you can add no vote... ; ) My case as matter of fact, so far : ) Even though, on the contrary of our nice fellow @ac6000cw who has been the only one to kindly post his impression and feelings, I'd rather give up to buy the Sony 11mm lens for now to succeed a new camera acquisition I have in hands because I'd much take the Samyang I already have as matter of fact but MFT mount. I don't like clinical glass at all. Wanna listen something I have to say? I was Sony customer for a decade a quarter of century ago when have changed to Canon/Panasonic & RED/Blackmagic. I've changed my mind for the efforts Sony has made on their sensor technology and camera offer. A certain Sony Europe VP told me once (during the 90s) I could never find anything really interesting to me at this price range from their part. I see now he was wrong on his prediction. I want to see now the way they've approached the user interface. I believe not on pair with Blackmagic OS but I will give them a chance coupled to non-proprietary glass, I bet. What really puzzles me is the fact people want cinematic outcome with sharp stuff which doesn't mean to give us the best, more often the opposite. It's like to go after a sexy girl at the convent... : D

And here you have the Osmo Pocket 3 from same camera user @markr041 with that 4K60p look you praise, so @24p you can even have much more room with 1 stop and a half of light extra at same shutter speed equivalent for a 180º angle and subsequently better results indeed, than the ones remarkable per se from these shots and such a tiny sensor size platform: The sensor size format is not actually so crucial as before anymore with the new sensor technology we have today.

OK, we all know there are made thousands of units to couple to camera units people don't even care to use them because they are slow and do not provide that pretty DOF magazine-cover-look... Economies of scale is not a natural law we can refuse, however, think about this, next time you'll check the amount to pay the bill into your upcoming lens purchase... Not the best scientific test nor the world is made of B&W but gives an idea at the same time how we are wrong when we take a lot of assumptions a$ granted ;- )

Fixed lens is a PITA anyways. These people are used to make it interchangeable mount instead: https://www.back-bone.ca/

Maybe not, they have what they want to give us. There's a good thing though. The more FF cameras out there, the more features we have for a more affordable price no matter the sensor format. EAG :- )

Digital world opens a new frontier of ignorance spread as a biblical resonance chamber of nothing. But this doesn't mean the truth is not there, just not the way they see it. Take a look on that video up there. The guy is focused on what he sees as some scientific dogma. We live in times of fake prophets ;- )

I stand what you say. A cinematic property is not a cinematic outcome made of a lot of this ; ) Worse is when what people call cinematic is not even cinematic! LOL :- )

* available light

There are no miracles but 8K resolution balances what you would expect from such a TINY sensor size factor in fact -- from an old user not posting here anymore, this is a sample with available night:
-
Let's talk about sharpness? A simple example from Sony 11mm f/1.8 against Rokinon 12mm f/2.0: SOC source A sharper angle on reality but how everyone expect it should be? Or a dreamy perspective on the world but how someone can see life is? What take would yours be?

Ace Pro 8K has remarkable low light performance BTW. The bigger is not necessarily all the time the best : ) Since GH6 as for instance, MFT is nowadays the only format of this camera industry segment I am aware to let it go with PRORES RAW 4K 120fps external recording under HDMI 2.1 when others don't even allow raw @ such high frame rate internally... ; )

I was Yesterday night and I will be tonight again, shooting with a GX85 coupled to a 35-100mm f/2.8 (what lens and what a combo BTW) 'cause I am done with old school full frame but could be aka cine-style in this particular case... for handy acquisition in the middle of the crowd, your results decrease for less than a half. Don't be worried. As events shooter, you already know that's a very high rate to keep you safe ; ) That's the border between someone who does this for living and who doesn't give a damn, the financial part is always the best part of your investment, no matter what : ) I took an eye on the new BMCC6K-FF because of their irresistible offer last month and other camera is coming very soon from another ecosystem, go figure : D Exactly the same principle stands, even for compatibility between lenses crossing mounts and so on... ;- )

50/60p versus 96/100/120fps are two different worlds apart indeed ; ) Pity that Z8 8K 50p/60p is not reliable 'cause of overheating or as of now, I wouldn't be checking glass for E mount very likely... ;- )

The user interface of mirrorless cameras are a disaster... :- )

1st shooting session last night. What a memorable show! The Waterboys version 2024 is a terrific must. Their performance on stage is one of the best gigs I've ever seen in my life... To hear this Scottish-Irish band playing hits such as (let's only mention a couple!) 'AND A BANG ON THE EAR' or 'THE PAN WITHIN' live is simply thrilling... literally. One of the best bands ever. Mike Scott is a star of the history of folk rock in the body of a man. The older the best, as I had opportunity to personally let him know he is like Port wine, today : ) BTW I have a chance to offer to this community... To those who will be interested to locally shoot their concerts, we can launch a footage archive of their performances in the coming years. PM me as you wish on this purpose of mine launched here now. I think these boards should be more mutual cooperation of this gang's gigs than has rarely been TBH :- ) And I will tell you the only beef against the usual mirrorless toys ; ) Bulky and weight. Light glass without cumbersome adapters is a bless... ; ) Osmo Pocket : D saved us a lot of times! Incredible tool! All the rest has no challenge. Monitor, menus and BRAW have no competitor and are what a cinema camera should be.

Mixed feeling... Nostalgic one with the joy of such an achievement those guys did it by then. Impossible to forget the adventure and those behind that journey :- )

That's versus 10-bit FX3 & 16-bit Komodo. OP's note now: To me, it's enough. No need for anything else. Really. That's a hell of a capture device! The best bang for the buck in June 2024 with no single doubt. 5x batteries charging as of now BTW...

Did you ask to compare cameras and their outcome? ; ) Lumix S5iix vs BMCC6k RED V-Raptor vs BMCC6K FF 10Bit Slog3 | 12Bit Braw | 16Bit RED

PS: Juicy texture... LOL ; ) Easy to fall in love : ) But one thing is for sure: light. With an exception though. The way is handled. And colour rendition. Sensor, colour science and codec are part of same pudding ;- )
-
Even without, this camera has something, go figure with a certain glass setup... Sexy to only use a single word ; ) A perfect match just for the handy subject!

Apples to oranges. Impossible to compare a pretty face with another one... Even when the angle is not the same! Let alone when she is prettier to each test published ; ) LOL
