i had the same problem, sent it back to panasonic and they seem to be aware of the problem with the lumix 12-35mm lens

Just an idea, we need a thread where if you come across a good deal on a great lens you'll just post the link in the thread..only certain professionals will be allowed to post links in that thread for e.g Andy..

I will send it back to panasonic and just await their response, hopefully its not an arm and a leg to fix as those lens upon re-searching are faulty.

So I'm reading reviews about the Panasonic repair center in Texas and they are absolutely the worst when it comes to honoring warranties, customer service and is extremely slow in getting back your lens to you. I have a panasonic lumix 12-35mm that needs to be fixed, I've called a few places but they all seem to stay away from fixing these panasonic lens.. Do you guys know any good reputable repair shops that fixes panasonic lens?

i had to resolve to focusing manually all night. now i'm in manual an when i'm zooming in the lens is vibrating thus causing the image on the sreen to get a bit blurry, when i stop zooming it works fine.

all the settings are the same, I was actually filming and the problem just started.. the zoom barrel turns fine. when i turn the camera on i can hear something like a motor running, like its trying to recoiling something.. when i zoom nothing gets in focus , it just blurred image of the object

Tonight, I was filming with my gh3 and after about 30 minutes of use my camera started acting up. While filming I tried to zoom in on a client an then my lens 12-35mm panny started vibrating. Looking through the viewfinder the image was vibrating on the screen an out of focus as well, I turned it off, took the lens off and still the same thing. I can only film in manual but I cannot zoom, please help as I have no idea what caused this problem as it was working perfectly fine.

i've been looking at some pentax cosmicar 25mm lens and i've noticed that they dont look the same even though its the same product, like the numbers are different, some are longer than some and they are made by different companies.. I've noticed the same thing with fujinon lens also.. I don't want to end up buying another replica/knock off again

how do you know when a lens is a knock off version?

Quick question guys, I've been filming with a Panasonic AG HMC 40 but i'm ready to step into the dslr game, been doing some homework on which one to get since i'm solely relying on the video aspect of the camera. I'm leaning towards the panasonic GH2, only thing is, what lens should I get? I pretty much film club events and parties/people dancing all the time, sometimes i'm in tight areas but i'll make room so I can get good footage, so with those factors what would you guys recommend, I think i'll need something that has OIS "I think" also i'll have a led light attached to the camera.
