To quote someone or other: "Sensor and lens, balanced and stable"

Yes I am sure. How much publication on youtube have you been involved with? I get the feeling you're arguing for something you haven't experienced? If you had tried this you would find, as mentioned many times above, that the group pinging content *does not own the content*. Please try to understand. This is not about the content creators.

The problem is when 50 out of 50 claims are bogus. It takes time to address them and I found it very annoying. This is when using licensed music. Of course when using non-licensed music their hit rate is also 100% so they do well there. Still love your video btw. Keep them coming.

Sony Creative Music doesn't, Neumann Films doesn't. Saying "I couldn't see any ads" means you haven't read the OP. They dispute them and get them removed. If you haven't had this problem yourself then maybe you don't post anything on Youtube? The problem certainly dissuaded me from engaging with youtube much.

Well that's interesting. It is as you say.

Just noticed that Magix added "10-bit HEVC support Movie Edit Pro now supports import of 10-Bit HEVC recordings from modern camcorders." What modern camcorders might that be mmmm?

Hmmm, went through one and a bit batteries while recording HFR for a couple of hours. Longer battery life than I was expecting and it stayed very cool the whole time.
-
Two questions for you: Do you have Pre-AF turned on? Do you have End Trigger for HFR turned on?

I used to have the same wallpaper in my house!

I think I get what you say. Adding little trinkets to a non-smartphone camera will make it more useable to the person wanting a non-smartphone camera but will not result in what the camera industry really would like which is the smartphone people to stop using their phones and buy a camera instead. Trinkets that would be handy - wireless charge station that auto initiates gigabit wifi uploading to home computer. Tacky trinket that would be handy - smaller jpeg creation and upload to media sites, ie. an easier way to use a camera as a phone. Ah stuff it.

Couple videos up with the Mavic falling out of the sky too now.

Must have used Samsung batteries :D lol

Thread for it in the section above!

Ok have checked with Panasonic and it's legit. From the sounds of it they have already figured it out, fully confirmed from factory end. Just have to check all the other code (you know, you change one thing, have to check how everything else is affected) before announcing it and putting it together in a firmware update. So very good news, well done Panasonic for keeping the ear to the community!

It takes a bit to spot the the weird movements but when you see them you can't unsee them. Hard to understand this as "working as intended" but will be great for photos and non-panning video.

And after doing a little shooting with them, mostly 100-400mm and 12-35: G85: I can’t hear any camera noise on the audio tracks from any of the cameras. It would take a very quiet environment I think. The IBIS on the G85 seems quite superior to the GX85 but... sticky pans. I would prefer to buy the G85 though. A point was made about rotation around the vertical axis. I'm not sure if I agree now. The angle the camera moves through using this zoom lens is really insignificant. Plus, there is no way you would hold this combo out from your body doing a pan.

First impressions of playing with G85 along with the GH4 and GX85 today: Noise. The GH4 is silent. The G85 is quieter than GX85. Maybe just because the body on the G85 offers more insulation, but the GX85 ibis "noise" was quite a bit louder. Now, I didn't notice this noise at all in real world filming earlier with the GX85 so the chance of noticing the sound from the G85 seems highly unlikely. In fact, I wonder how you would record the noise unless you tape a mic onto the camera body and block outside noise getting to it by covering it with tape. The noise is not the lens. It is coming from in the body. 2nd, the stabilisation, well I'll put some of my recorded files together and see. My first impression, before examining the files, is that the G85 IBIS is definitely superior for holding the shot steady. For very slow pans it also produces incredibly stable shots. I think it did start bouncing around a bit more under more vigourous panning but I think this is a result of the better IBIS at each end of the movement. So maybe in video mode they might tweak the settings in the future but it's not a video deal breaker even like it is. Focus speed - instant. Shutter noise - silent? Definately wow factor there. Handling - very nice. Better placement of play button. Better grip, especially thumb location.

Film convert stuffs PP CC for me big time. Looking forward to trying this new one on the weekend.
-
The question is not about IBIS is it about why the G85 IBIS is reportedly not coping with normal movement that the GX85 handles fine.
-
If the GH5 has this finally implemented I'll get it.

Even without adding GST (which would be added by B&H) it is actually cheaper to buy these new cameras and lenses here in NZ. Throw in a nice warranty and even betterer deal here. Maybe it used to be otherwise, but not now. This is a generalisation, I'm always on the lookout for special deals - like that 25mm 1.7 when it first came out
