I use this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Canon-EOS-EF-Lens-To-Micro-43-M4-3-M43-Camera-Ring-Adapter-Converter-BMPCC-C001-/291194157946?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item43cc863b7a

Canon 24-105/4L IS. and Canon 50/1.4 are great lenses I use them alot I would consider Panasonic cameras too like the G6 and GH4
-
I'm using the Tecnoir Shoulder rig I designed plus Carl Zeiss Distagon 20, 25, 35 Planar 50 , 85 and also the Nikon 28-70mm f2.8 as used on Bourne Ultimatum Captain Phillips and Casnio Royale - it's a stunning lens ..sharp great look to it and no focus breathing , which is the important bit .

the Zeiss 50mm f1.8 Pancolar is a great lens classic Zeiss and almost as sharp as the 50mm f1.7 Planar - there is not much in it The Pentacon is a older Meyer-Optik Görlitz lens design carried over into the Pentacon range its regarded as not quite as good as the 28mm version of this lens by Pentacon (which is a Zeiss Jena DDR Design) this version is the Zeiss DDR design http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pentacon-28mm-f2-8-Praktica-bayonet-PB-mount-lens-c-w-caps-pouch-/161398035922?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item25941295d2 the 29mm is abit of an odd ball all the above are inferior to the Canon FD 28mm f2,8 - which beats them all in my book and is very good and cheap on ebay ....
-
you are not going to get Pentax 28mm f2 for $60 , thats just never going to happen as its a very rare desired lens . its more like a $500+ lens in the real world now. my alternatives I've listed are alot cheaper I also forgot to add the Vivitar 28mm f2 which sells on ebay for around $160 and is very good too.
-
its rare - no one in their right mind will sell theirs!! But there are very good alternatavies like the Sigma 30mm f1.4 ( newer aspheric elements , faster and dare I say sharper too ) which I personally think is a very cinematic looking lens and cheap if the Sigma was nicknamed 'Hollywood ' everone would buy one....... it was designed as an APSC lens so its entire making was for approx super 35mm size sensors - hence its cinematic looking feel to it. this lens is no use on your full frame 5D - but great on aspc and micro 4/3 I use mine with a Lens Turbo speedbooster on my G6 - its getting on for f1.2 - now thats fast and sharp
-
cheaper alternatives are Canon FD 28mm f2 - a very good lens and lot less expensive - but hard to find (internal black paint on the inside barrel can bubble on this and the 35mm f2 - thats the way they made them....) and my favourite is the Sigma 30mm f1.4 - this lens is quite amazing especially at f1.4 also Sigma now make a micro 4/3 native 30mm f2.8 that is very very sharp and under $200 a huge bargin - it gets great reviews
-
yes thats how I use them , no focus issues at all , and blue/purple shot only very rarely turns up under extreme front lighting conditions I have to shine a Red Head directly at it on axis to make it flare up , and if that happens just move 10cm left or right and it goes I've been shooting a lot on set with these with complex lighting setups lighting models and its not caused any problems , the Lens Turbo is great I now have 2 and use one on each G6 camera all the time , faster , sharper , wider is great to work with!
-
you cannot fit yashica lenses on NIKON mount/ speedbooster / lens turbo of any make as the flange focal distance of the nikon mount is too great
-
Im not using metabones I use Mitakon Lens Turbo canon ef- micro 4/3 its great
-
you can do it a different way thats easier get a canon EF metabones and then add a contax yashica to canon ef metal adaptor ring to the back of your Yashica lenses The Canon speedbooster more useful as you can addapt may makes of lenses to it
-
thats not an adapter it s the back mount off a Zeiss Tevidon , so its is no use , your Tevidon will already have one of the on the back of it anyhow as they are made with it attached! You need a lathe to machine the rear of the Tevidon so it fits a cmount adapter OR buy A Fujinon (made in Japan not Fujian made in China) 16mm as the Zeiss and Fujinon are almost identical optically in shootouts its almost impossibe to tell them appart the 25mm f1.4 and 35mm f1.7 Fujinons are Distagon equivialnts they are that good, I use them alot

on a gh2 (x1.86 crop) you get a bit of vignetting on a g6 (x2 crop) not very much at all my Fujian is soft all round the edges and only slightly sharp in the middle for me its more of an effect lens if you want a killer Carl Zeiss Distagon almost equivilant 35mm c mount lens get the FUJINON 35mm 1.7 (Made in Japan) now that is a serious piece of glass - it needs a mod on the back of the lens to make it fit a c mount adaptor but it is very very good and cheap - and sharp with no crazy effect soft ness / distortions like the Fujian made in China

I used to shoot on film exclusively and there is the 180 degree shutter rule I use so have a read of this it explains it all simply http://luispower2013.wordpress.com/2013/03/12/the-180-degree-rule/ in a nut shell shoot on 1/50 sec for normal filmic look shoot 150- 180/ sec region for the Saving Private Ryan , Gladiator action crisper less motion blur look - (I dont use it much) but I do drop down to 1/30 in low light on pop videos I shoot for a more motion blur look

he was a great actor , its very sad depression Nanu Nanu for one last time

I shot a job for client last week outside with it , you can attach NDs to it , I used Tiffens on it outside ND16 , 8 , 4, 2 combinations of - stacked to get the exposure I want - I just dont ever use Vari NDs as I dont like the artifacts they produce - its all hard NDs on my lenses.
