The ML series was the pro line of Multicoated lenses developed and produced by Yashica (Kyocera), to sit between their consumer grade DSB line and the state-of-the-art Zeiss T* within the Contax / Yashica system. According to 'Lens Doctor' Eddie Houston, these lenses were the 'L-series of the era' Being 35mm format lenses, they cover Full Frame (Canon 5D, 1D, 6D etc.) They perform extremely well even at wide open aperture when used on a 'crop frame' system. 180+ degree focus throw allows for accurate control - ideal for cinematography use with a Follow Focus kit. Included here are: these lenses are full metal casings - no cheap plastic like kit lenses. all have full metal lens hoods added - these just screw on the front and help stop lens flare - and large lens caps for the front hoods (see pics) rear lens caps are also included The set comes in a aluminium flight case PM me if you are interested I will do a reduced price for EOSHD memebers.
  3. same thing with the Panny G6 etc EVFs you can set the diopter and have a perfect EVF for your eyesight its great ! I dont ever use the rear screen , I just use the EVF

  5. here is another pic of his Canon 3d rig '> '>
  6. Mr Godard is a bit of a pioneering legend ! 9. correct ....there is no active EF speedboster at the moment only dumb / passive EF mounts
  10. EBAY get a full set of primes they make 18mm 24mm 50mm 70mm they make a 20-40mm push pull zoom I sold mine as I find it very soft image wise
  11. you could shoot a whole film on Pentax 110 lens and a full set will cost you $200 !! and they are very good !! just light your set for f2.8 and off you go - or stack NDs up if you use them outside . the f2.8 dof looks great outside very filmic! they are great lenses with good glass - small , light , sharp , fast and cheap
  12. welcome to the forum Sam as of now there are no active EF mount speedbosters only dumb / passive EF mounts so you do nned to focus manually and set aperture manually Some of the lenses you have the aperture is fly by wire (electric set in the camera )
  13. yes Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs also spring to mind . Tarentino does this alot I like non linear films , they make you think a bit more instead of being spoon fed!!!
  14. welcome to the forum Bobby yes with a Canon T2i you can make great images ! just goes to show its all about how you use it .
  15. my first Panasonic G6 had dead pixels on the sensor straight out the box - I had to send it back and get a replacement the replacement was fine my dead pixel issue looked like your problem does on your pictures it does happen so consider returning it
  16. http://www.ephotozine.com/article/samyang-85mm-t1-5-as-if-umc-lens-review-23494 Rokinon an Samyang are all the same lenses re branded
  17. if having an aperture ring at the rear of the lens stops you filming then you shouldnt really be doing this - come on we are now dragging up stuff for no reason what so ever . this is a Carl Zeiss Ultra Prime - as used on Hollywood feature films ....one of the best prime lenses money can buy...... http://www.zeiss.co.uk/camera-lenses/en_gb/cine_lenses/ultra_lenses/ultra_prime_lenses.html and where is the apperture ring? oh yes on the rear of the lens , you will find they are on most cinema PL mount lenses.
  18. welcome to the forum William I hope someone can help you out this this ....... I have followed a few youtube dismantling tutorials on some of my lenses, its fiddly work and you need to remember what went where....
  19. yes just use it as a dumb Canon mount so your m42/ Pentax/ Olympus/ Contax Yashica etc mounting rings work fine on it it turns your 2x crop Panasonic into an APSC Canon - ish !
  20. yes its identical to the Nikon mount Lens Turbo optically no different
  21. looks superb Homerus Act of Valor was shot by Shane Hurlbut on Canon 7d (apsc) cos they could use PL Mount Cinema lenses on it and have the corect field of view with them unlike the 5D MKIIs they also used that needed full frame lenses Zeiss ZE http://www.hurlbutvisuals.com/blog/2011/05/chaos-in-harmony-by-kevin-anderson-rental-manager-at-hurlbut-visuals/pl-mount-5d-7d/ http://www.hurlbutvisuals.com/blog/2011/02/zeiss-a-cinematic-journey-on-act-of-valor/ the film looked great I watched it without knowing it was shot mainly on Canon Cameras
  22. I agree Rich art over tec always wins in my book! its all about how you use it creatively camera and lens are just a small part of the big picture
  23. if its particles ontop of the sensor then it might be possible to clean them off carefully the sensor has a clear plastic piece over it - so get some isopropanol cleaning fluid and try an intense clean using 'isoprop' on a cotton bud as this may shift it , where a sensor swab is a more general light clean and has not shifted it.
