if you have the time and money and the band like your story then go for it , watch similar videos in style on youtube and see how they are structured pop vidieos have less than 4 mins to get it all in so structure it right so it doesnt drag on. also dont put all your best shots at the end as alot of people only watch the first 2 mins of pop videos

Fujinon make some great prime lenses their 55mm F1.8 is a favourite of mine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuji-Fujinon-55mm-f-1-8-M42-lens-PLEASE-READ-/321349164589?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item4ad1e71e2d http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUJI-FUJINON-55mm-1-8-LENS-FAST-PRIME-M42-DIGI-ADAPTABLE-FUJI-PHOTO-LENS-/291100878841?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item43c6f6e7f9 great contrast and colours - it has a cool blue tinge to it and very sharp , f1.8 fast and creamy bokeh and its very cheap too
-
yes its a very good lens , aspheric elements and very sharp its tiny and light - I like it alot
-
but as richg101 said earlier the Rollei Zeiss Planer QBM earlier versions (non HFT coating) are single coated and flare alot easier than the T* Contax lenses , the single coated have slightly less contrast and a more arty look to them
-
yes the do make a speed booster for C/Y so you are good to go
-
yes the single coated Zeiss Planer 50mm f1.8 in QBM MOUNT flares like a RUSSIAN Helios 58mm but is very sharp A NICE LENS WITH ALOT OF CHARACTER there is a guy in China converting these Rollei Planar HFT 50mm f1.8 lenses into new housings making the usable with follow focus , he does m42, Nikon , PL, Canon mounts too http://www.ebay.com/itm/Varies-Mount-HD-Cine-Prime-Movie-Lens-Rollei-HFT-Planar-50mm-f-1-8-50-1-8-/111140422178?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item19e07c4222 they do look very nice!!!

the carl zeiss 135mm f3.5 is a sonar lens - that lens formula grouping ....so very very good ....and very cheap too in Praktica PB mount
-
thanks for posting this most informative, I can see what you mean about the cine profiles one is more flat looking the other more saturated and crushed blacks
-
go for the Carl Zeiss 135mm f2.8 , or the f3.5 version in Praktica PB mount - these are steller lenses and cheap on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARL-ZEISS-JENA-PRAKTICA-B-135MM-F2-8-SLR-DSLR-LENS-V-GOOD-CONDITION-/251462684878?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item3a8c5810ce http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Carl-Zeiss-Jena-MC-f3-5-135mm-lens-m42-for-Pentax-Canon-Nikon-Sony-Olympus-/301121432220?pt=UK_Photography_VintagePhotography_VintagePhotoAccessories&hash=item461c3c6a9c or the KING OF 135MM lenses is the Russian Tair 135mm f2.8 this lens is tak sharp beats all my other 135mm hands down including the Canon L series 135mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TAIR-11A-2-8-135-M42-Lens-Creamy-Bokeh-/331149337186?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item4d1a09e262

the Fujinon 35mm f1.7 is very good, you need to remove the rear collar - it unscrews then I epoxy glued it onto the micro 4/3 adapter Its has a very cinematic look to it , I have the cheap chinese Fujian 35mm cctv lens off ebay and it is rubbish , this Fujinon is very good - a propper lens with good glass and its very cheap and NO VIGNETTING AT ALL ON MICRO 4/3 the 25mm f1.4 is excellent , especially outside at night as its fast, its great also as a general standard lens....a la Fincher ....see Creativecrit thread - very slight vignetting on micro 4/3 depending on lighting conditions this is the Zeiss Tevidon 25mm f1.4 optically identical to the Fujinon 25mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/excellent-TEVIDON-1-4-25-Carl-Zeiss-C-Mount-Lens-NEX-PEN-Lumix-E-M5-/231177113044?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item35d33acdd4 here is a good shoot out so you can these lenses http://lifegoes.tistory.com/564 zeiss v fujinon - nothing in it!! http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/4-3rds-cameras/13547-czj-tevidon-versus-fujinon-cctv.html#post176111

some of these cctv lenses to have wierd swirly Bokeh when wide open ,sharp in the centre and soft at the edges.. so beware !!
-
Have a read of this http://cargocollective.com/yashica/About-Yashica-ML-Prime-Lenses they do make 15mm, 21mm , 24mm all wide Yashica lenses focus the same direction as Canon lenses - its Nikons that turn the 'wrong' way Apertures are clicked with no in between settings
-
these Panny lenses step the iris / apperture when you zoom , especially the constant aperture zooms they have a wierd flutter read the thread on this site about this issue

Sean from my collection of ex cctv lens c mounts Im using on micro 4/3 cameras the Fujinon lenses are the best optically as good as the carl zeiss Tevidon c mounts Fujinons are very well made these are expensive lenses new and superb glass all made in Japan , these are machine vision lenses used in industry so cost is no object - Pentax Cosmicar are also very good well made with good glass the rest tend to be a bit hit and miss as they are cctv lenses in your local Seven Eleven etc , barrel distortion soft wide open etc wierd apperture blades - triangle , square etc One lens to do recomend is the Wollensak Cine Raptar 1 inch (25mm ) f1.9 this is a purpose made 16mm cine lens http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WOLLENSAK-CINE-RAPTAR-1-inch-25mm-f-1-9-CINE-C-mount-lens-/221391931011?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338bfcc683 It is a very good lens , the edges are straight , no barrel distortion at all on micro 4/3 and when past f2.8 it is very sharp its a bit soft bloomy at f1.9 - but tak sharp past f2.8 its very well made from brass , its tiny but packs a big punch!! I was given one 15 years ago on a 16mm camera and only started using it when I got a micro 4/3 camera - its a hidden jem!

the Panasonic 14-42mm ASPH II (the new version of panasonics kit lens) is a superb lens , very small , light ,has image stabisation , and this new version has 2 aspheric elements making it insanely sharp and a very very good lens . Dont be put of by the term kit lens ( Canons kit lens is rubbish yes ) but Panasonic dont make rubbish lenses this kit lens is as sharp as my Canon L series lenses and a fraction of the price. buy one!!
-

not without substantial modification to fit a micro 4/3 adaptor you need a lathe! Im selling my Pentax 25mm F1.4 c mount lens , it has great colors and contrast is very sharp and work on GH3 I use mine a my G6 (I have 2 of these great lenses) f1.4 on a GH3 is a very narrow depth of field , about 1cm at f1.4 the lens produces great bokeh http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231178971427?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
