the G6 has a completely different look to colors than the gh2 - the G6 is alot more like a canon camera in terms of rich colours Pansonic have caught up with canon on the G6 its a huge improvement over the gh2

I cannot recomend the G6 enough - Im a massive user of the hacked GH2 it is a great camera hacked the G6 is all the gh2 is but better straight out the box !

no its 50p on PAL cameras this makes no differance what so ever - all these poeple harping on about 60p is only relevant if you are shooting 30p as your main real time speed , Pal is 25p and 50p its still 1/2 time as 50p so NO differance!!   watch the pop video I shot on a G6 with lots of 50p slo mo it listed above

just buy a Panasonic G6 its an amazing camera no moire and no massive files and no hacking !! its cheap it works you can buy one now and it delivers stunning images better them my hacked gh2 s

yes you can dial in the white balance from 2500k to 10000k

also GH2 finder is slightly brighter than the rear screen on the camera (the ones we use are) - so I was always compensating - but the G6 is as good as the same as the rear screen so I dont need to compensate - just shoot as it looks in the finder which is great

Axel - G6 viewfinder is great superb - much better than the GH2 finder better colours and higher resolution I use finder all the time rather than the screen its very accurate to use for focusing - I highly recomend it - it is one of the big plus points for the G6 - you do NOT need to buy a third party add on finder

Im a huge GH2 fan we use ours alot here but I have to say Panasonic G6 beats it , Panasonic have listened to all us GH2 hackers and made a camera that has a better image quality than the GH2 hacked and so no need for massive hacked 1gb per minuite files that the GH2 produces We have done alot of extensive tests when we got the G6  direct tests with the same lenses on our GH2s and the G6 is better not a huge amount better mainly no mosquito nosie in the dark/black areas and better IQ with smaller files   So we have made the switch - its not more videoish at all ....its the same sensor as the GH2 - peolpe can think footage shot deep focus f11 , f16 f22 is videoish when its just a stopped down lens that they are viewing , the G6 can do all the narrow depth of field stuff just like the gh2 when I put all my fast lenses on it   Think of the g6 as a gh2 without needing to hack it and get massive files G6 is a better camera its cheap new and widely available now

I tested the Nikon when it came out and was not impresssed with it - the Panasonic G6 beats it hands down G6 produces stunning images and and NO banding like the Nikon

I shot the whole video on the Panasonic G6 with Carl Zeiss Contax N mount Vario Sonnars and Canon FD L Series glass, plus Panasonic Lumix 14mm for wides and Carl Zeiss Biometar 85mm for face shots Akai/Canon C mount zoom with x2 converter for mega crash zooms (x2 converter gives extreme circular bokeh madness in camera on the sitting down shots- thats not done in post) It was shot in a heat wave 35 degrees heat plus all the heat from the lights in the Studio we used and no issues with the G6 it performed amazingly well no crashes or battery pulls . Battery life was very long too , whole shoot on one battery !! I was amazed . The record label wanted a monchrome look so I shot it all on 'Naural'picture profile and it was desated in post. All the slo mo shots where done at 50fps then manipilated even slower in post.   G6 is now my camera of choise , my Hacked gh2s are not getting used much now , G6 picture quality is so good, the image detail is outstanding , 32gb card gives 2.5 hrs recording time which is amazing

you need a B4 lens that has a pop in x2 extender built into the lens of you will just get vignetting and you need B4 lenses made for 2/3 inch sensors not 1/2 inch sensors

thats just a character of that lens - some lenses flare different to others thats the fun of them my olympus 50mm has white orbs that float around when it is wide open !!

Panasonic G6 is superb for stills and video -do have a good look at that too I use the G6 alot is is a superb camera

Fujinon 55mm f1.8 is one of my favourite lenses - very sharp and affordable on ebay I use it with my anamorphics alot
