you are watching on vimeo or youtube at compressed with artifacts 7mb/s max!! dont ever go off these sites as referance The gh2 is not video looking at all you have been missinformed! Mine is kicking out 170mb/s !! the image is simply stunning 24 progressive frames a second (all I frame as its Driftwood Hack) video is about 12mb/s max ! this is nothing like interlaced video The Nostaligic profile setting for me is the best - that is very cinematic!

Dont dismiss the GH2 is kills so many other cameras out there we have compared it in the edit suite against RED, ARRI C300 , 5D11 ETC hacked gh2 is comparable to the hi end red and alexa in terms of detail plus holds a huge amout of data for grading much more than any canon does - there is alot of lattitude like Red and Alexa I recently did a job with GH2 and 5D11 and the gh2 blew the 5d away .. no contest you would be very supprised to see them in the edit suite side by side on the monitor the difference is shocking!

I agree with tferradans you dont need to be spending a fortune on these!! I have 3 of most adaptors - they are disposable ! as you need backups if you are on a commercial job!! spend the money on GLASS not metal rings!!
-
those work fine I shoot pop videos for MTV with them! its a piece of metal!!
-
GH2 IS KING ! get one! mine has a Nick Driftwood Hack 170mb/s much sharper and more detail than the Canon 5D no contest !

most m42 lenses are fully manual so just buy a regular adaptor I use these - they work!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Adapter-M42-lens-to-Canon-EOS-5D-10D-20D-30D-40D-50D-350D-450D-500D-550D-UK-/350762202549?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item51ab0e75b5 I dont bother with metering and auto fous on adaptors as I dont need that stuff I do it all manual for shooting film

those on that amazon link are rubbish they will soften your image they are not Genuine Cokin they are cheap copies dont be fooled buy real cokins 0.3=nd2 0.6=nd4 0.9= nd8 read this first http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutral_density_filter also do not stop right the way down on your lenses if you shoot f16 or f22 you will get random grey/dark iris shaped spots on your image in bright light if you have the smallest spec of dust on your sensor the nd is so you can keep at f5.6 or f8 real Cokin filters in the USA on ebay - I presume your are Yank! I'm a Brit! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cokin-153-Neutral-Grey-ND4-P153-Filter-84mm-P-Series-/290890576977?pt=Camera_Filters& hash=item43ba6df451 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cokin-154-Neutral-Grey-ND8-P154-Filter-84mm-/290890578991?pt=Camera_Filters&hash=item43ba6dfc2f http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cokin-152-Neutral-Grey-ND2-P152-Filter-/290891295806?pt=Camera_Filters&hash=item43ba78ec3e real Cokins have the number and cokin in white printed on them Nd4 and nd8 are the most useful I use them al the time

I'm selling another one of my Carl Zeiss Anamorphic lenses (I have too many!) This lens has the Legendary Schott Glass in all Zeiss lenses and is stunningly sharp much sharper than my Hypergonar Hi Fi 2 The Zeiss produces great royal blue colored flares it comes with a Tecnoir anamorphic lens holder so you can use it on your 15mm rod system This lens holder clamps the rear of the lens so it always stays vertically alligned all the time. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230958899586?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649

Use ND FIlters outside !!! you will need ND 2 , ND4 AND ND8 to cope with most conditions I use Cokin ND filters after lots of expensive testing buying too many nd filters over the years Cokin are the best for me I never shoot outside with out NDs
-
it looks very interesting - but its still expensive $15k
-
I haVe these Rathenower lenses and your auto focus idea does not work - YOU NEED TO FOCUS BOTH LENSES I use the Tecnoir anamorphic lens holder on my 15mm rod systen to hold them this work really well with the Rathenower http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230957978806?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
