Roger Deakins is a great DP. Can't argue that. That being said I could care less what his opinion is (or anyone else) of any given film. A lot of DP's have terrible taste in film. BITWC is a great film. Not that anyone gives a shit what I think :P

Thanks guys for the Sony FS7 links. That last now from Pampuri may be the best I have seen in a real world setting. No grading, but people and movement and street scenes. I'd like to see more from him.

You guys crack me up. This was shot on a Canon C300 (version 1) :D You'll get the same exact look from the C100 Mk2

That all being said, still have to believe that the new C100 Mk II will have the best 1080p Hi Def out of the box. Yes I'm talking about sharpness, DR and especially the COLORS.

"There is no reason this cannot do 4K". The new Canon C300 Mark 2 will have 4K. (NAB 2015 at latest this will be out, maybe sooner) Don't forget about the new Canon 1D C - 2, (or whatever they will call it) which will no doubt be the best small 4K camera in the world. Canon C500 Mark 2 or the new body design for this cam. Can't forget about the amazing selection of lenses from Canon. More new cine lenses on the way as well for NAB 2015! By mid 2015 Canon will again be the top dog. These are the reasons.

There are quite a few arguments going on other forums about the Sony A7s vs Nikon D750. I've seen videos where you can argue the sharpness and dynamic range on either camera. I believe Andrew could probably answer the question as he has used both cameras. Not sure if he's going to do a side by side video test, however.

Fantastic job by Canon. They listened to all the bitching and responded. Yea it's not 4K but most people could care less. The Canon C100 Mark II will be a viable option for pure 1080p hi-def for at least 2 more years. Perhaps longer. That comes out to a little over $2,500 bucks a year. Hmm..If you can't make a ton of money with this cam, it's not Canon's fault.

Zebras. No peaking. No frame guidelines. Very sharp (on par with A7s, some say sharper) and Gorgeous colors out of the box, however.
