Hello Everyone! Has anyone had any success using thunderbolt hard drives yet? I've got an iMac and a macbook air, and it'd be great to have a faster connection than USB while I'm on the road! Also, I'd prefer not to spend $1,000 on one of those giant desktop drives. I do travel a lot, and am still relatively broke :)

Is there any practical use for 4K footage at 15fps?

Am I reading this correctly? Is there 4K on a gopro? 12fps..but still..that could not have been easy! Will be interesting to see how well that works practically

Just ordered one!!! Man am I excited. My t2i has about had it. Rubber grips falling off...etc. This will hold me over till my next purchase of a 5D or 6D

Yes what camera are you using? I'm assuming a crop sensor Canon. I used a 50mm for about a year as my primary lens, and used it for about 90% of the stuff I shot until I could afford more! Not ideal for everything, but a great way to learn and build up your skills

To an extent, yes each lens will have its own look. That being said, I don't think it will look "different" in the way you are imagining. Professionals use all manner of different lenses. You should have no problem matching footage from the Canon and Rokinon. Definitely no need to stick with one brand.

[/quote] Lol, you're cracking me up dude. The "mm" after a number refers to the distance at which the lens sees. So for a 20mm or 50mm, you only get one distance - no zoom. A zoom lens would be titled something like "7-14mm" or "35-100mm." Meaning you could start at a length of 35mm and zoom all the way though 100mm. The 20mm is just fine for video. It may be a bit hard to focus with so just keep that in mind while shooting. You will need an FD to micro 4/3 adaptor to shoot with the canon fd lens by the way

At the price of the 1D X, that puts 4K INTO the price range of a lot of low budget folks hands. Its not insane to think that small studios or even independent film makers have machines to edit 4K these days

That should be more than enough light for this situation without having to bump up the ISO

I just wanted to clarify that it was only aperture. You still have control over ISO and shutter. Yes, a major oversight sadly

Did ANYONE have a chance to shoot any footage on this thing? I seem to be able to only find videos of people holding it in their hands and talking about it
