I found this quite amusing and you're probably right to an extent. However I shoot daily and am not in a place where I'm wondering which camera to buy over this :) I more was wondering for educational reasons. Today I told my friend "my birthday is in a month, I want a C300." He was like "You have a 5d which has a bigger sensor and higher bitrate, isn't it better?" After my initial laughter I told him theres a reason it costs 5 times as much and that is more to the image than the bitrate. I didnt know exactly why that was though. So please, someone inform me :)

I'm a little bit lost when it comes to the technical details of certain camera paramets. I understand 4:2:0 4:2:2 etc, but what is the difference between 8 bit, 10, bit, 12 bit color? I hear a lot of people complain about it, but what does it mean practically? Does it give me more room in post? Just more accurate colors? Does anyone have any examples of this? Also, what exactly do more Mbps get you? Does it just offer more detail? Thanks folks. Feel free to insert your own stupid questions on this thread to have answered :)

Yeah I have to disagree BurnetRhoades. Its not being lazy if it provides great quality. From what I'm reading about the Bolex, the audio looks to be pretty legit.

I've wanted to since version 1. Its not here on version 3. We want it and there is certainly no harm in asking for it. Its only a discussion because you are making it one. If you dont need the feature there is no need for you to weigh in on it. We all want the feature, so we are going to ask for it.

I am totally with the op. This is absolutely the most glaringly offensive lack of a feature on this camera. Is there seriously harm in asking for a simple feature to be added? This is the 3rd overhaul of the camera, still no exposure lock

I'm fairly sure the GH2 is currently cheaper than either of those canon cameras, so if you like the GH2 you may as well just pick one of those up again.

The fact of the matter is that the BMCC IS out in 2012. Just because you dont have one doesnt mean it doesnt exist :P
