I'm in the market for an anamorphic setup and my question concerns diopters and anamorphic adapters like the Panasonic LA7200. Most of the diopters I see being mentioned seem to go in front of the anamorphic adapter, and I have seen an an example of a guy velcro-ing 82mm close up lenses on top of the Panasonic adapter.
So my question is, why can't you put a smaller diopter behind the adapter, between the anamorphic adapter and the lens? For example I have a prime set of Nikon Ai-S lenses with 52mm rings on the front. Couldn't I just get some 52mm close up adapters, put those on the lenses, and then attach the anamorphic adapter?
(something like this?http://www.bhphotovi...se_Up_Lens.html)
Anyone know or have experience with this?
Thanks so much
