Luca, it seems to me that prices are no correct - you have 419 Euros for NX adapter and delivery is set to "now". On opposite you have adapter for 499 Euros and delivery is in 2017. Maybe I am wrong but I guess that prices should be in the opposite way - higher price for earlier delivery and lower price for later delivery. Is it really correct?

You should let to know also Andrew (I think it is worth to create article about all this stuff - NX Speedbooster and bitrate hacks too) + let to know other NX users on DPREVIEW ( http://***URL removed***/forums/1001 ). This is really great achievement of you that was partly supported by community NX1 community here on EOSHD. I think it is unique that someone was able to design and create so complicated tool in terms of precision just because of enthusiasm (I think it is unique also for EOSHD as general). Quite funny is that Metabones declared that it is impossible to create something like this becuase of NX flange distance...

This is very interesting. I thought there is no difference between on/off but this is very clear... I have to try it again.

Yes, I was excited (after couple of years waiting) too but then I saw the way how they did it.... there are just few exposures options and not in photo mode. Why? Sometimes I just need to lock exposure and do not have variable ND filter and these predefined exposure values are too high. Why there is not some kind of slider or "+" and "-" on the screen with live preview (exposure values hidden in the menu - very clever idea). Photo/timelapse mode - still without option to lock exposure. Or am I wrong?

And please do not forget about bitrate hack (180Mbps for 4K and 1080p100fps!) and also speedbooster is on the way!

It is not done because of hack - you just have to change video out in menu from NTSC to PAL. Than you will have 100 fps instead of 120 fps.100fps can easily manage 180Mbps - it did not see any issue so far. I will se later if it is completely OK. Yes, it is not so slow as 120fps but becuase of compression I will probably prefer it ... yes - there is still aliasing but no compression artefacts.

Yes,60p can produce nice image only below ISO 400, 120p only below ISO 200 and 4k below ISO 1600. I saw unedited clip from A6300 with ISO 3200 and it was quite noisy but noise grain was finer and detailed (filmic?) and not blockier as it is on NX1. But in general according dpreview - NX1 is little less noiser than is A6300 in photo mode... I have tried also hack v5.3 with killall and still had dropped frames with bitrate 100Mbps. Finally my solution is switch to 100 frames (1/4 slowmo 25fps) and then I can use very high bitrate (180Mbps!) without any dropped frames. I shoot in 4K30p so it would be problematic to have 25p clip in the project - to make 120 frames (1/4 slowmo 30fps) I simply make clip faster (20%) or use Twixtor for conversion from 25fps to 30fps. It is worth to do it as 180Mbps 100p image is very nice and without any compression artefacts.

I can see (beside higher brightness and lower crop factor) also higher sharpness. Image with SB looks like done with different lens - so good is improvement.Very nice! BTW what lens and aperture have you used?

It is correct but it is little bit more complicated: If you attach f1.8 lens to APS-C camera it is not actually f1.8 but f2.8 ---> you have to convert it to equivalent 35mm aperture (https://www.pointsinfocus.com/tools/depth-of-field-and-equivalent-lens-calculator/#fmt=10&ap=1.781797&fl=50&dst=10&u=us). So it is little bit lie from lens manufactures becuase you have to convert apertures to 35mm equiv. in same way as you convert focal lenght. So until now you are correct - speedbooster collects all light and no more that provides full frame lens - so f1.8 lens is f1.8 lens. BUT - ISO numbers are not equivalent (maybe) to compensate less amount of light coming to sensor. One example - FF camera and APS-C camera - both has same ISO 800 but APS-C is noiser. Why? Becuase it is more sensitive than FF camera and actual ISO is higher (even both has set same ISO) - it behaves like ISO 1600 on FF. With same aperture and ISO should be shutter speed same on both cameras becuase less light of APS-C is compensate by more sensitive and actually higher ISO sensor (very often also noisier). BUT with speedbooster you have more light than APS-C expects - sensor is still more sensitive than on FF camera so with same ISO and shutter speed is image more brighter (+1 stop) than it would be on FF camera. It depends on your point of view - you can say: with same setting (ISO, shutter speed) I have faster lens but I think is better to say that with speedbooster is APS-C's ISO converted to ISO similar full frame camera - like for example 5DmkIII with ISO 1600 and NX1 with ISO 800. This is how I understand it, but maybe it is not completely correct.

Yes, I thought that too. But I rather ask if someone elsie has similar problem. It seems that Kinoseed hack could achieve stable framerate for that bitrate. I have tried Vasile's 5.3 but I I have dropped frames in 4K180Mps so I downgrade back to 5.2 and it seems to be OK (except 120fps).

I am using Vasile's 5.2 bitrate hack, I use 180Mbps 4K30fps - no issues so far BUT I have dropped frames with 110Mbps (even with 100 Mbps) 1080p120fps. No matter if I use slowmo video without sound or direct 120fps. Final video has 29.6fps or 119.1fps. I thought it can happen with Samsung lenses with AF but it also happend it when using manual lens. Strange is that I filmed 2 exactly same scenes with this manual lens and one had dropped frames and second not - so it hard to test it. For example I made 3 clips today with 110Mbps and no one had dropped frames. Other day - almost every 120fps clip has dropped frames ( I mostly see it in shallow depth of field scenes). Using still same card - Lexar 2000x 64GB. Anyone has same experience?

Just try to google it http://petapixel.com/2013/01/14/metabones-announces-revolutionary-adaptor-makes-ff-lenses-faster-and-wider/ It is similar to your EF to NX adapter but there is optical element that change crop factor from x1.5 to (I believe) x1.1, and you got more light to sensor and shallower depth of field. There is no electronics to control aperture now. Communication between lens and body is different story/project...

Maybe dumb and little off-topic note: It would be nice to have conversion (something like dumb extension tube) from NX mount to Sony E mount. That would make possible to use this Luca's Speedbooster someday also with Sony cameras and make it future proof. I think it would be also benefit for Luca: Maybe some Sony users would like idea of SB for mutliple mounts. I would not think about it if Samsung would not end to produce NX cameras... sadly my NX1 will not work forever :-(

Agree. I am keen for any other info and still have to check this forum :-) - still have to think how it would work with my Canon 50mm 1.4 and 135mm f2. We should realize that NX1 will become almost fullframe (we still do not know exact crop factor but I think it is around x1.1) also in terms of noise levels - eg. what I know it will be like comparing 5DmkIII on ISO 1600 and NX1 on ISO 800 (there will be more light on sensor so you can use lower ISO with same aperture). So with fast lenses NX 1 should be on pair or better than FF cameras. Another example - is same situation where you now have to you ISO 1600 you should be fine with ISO 800 (same example for ISO 3200/1600, etc.). Luca, I am sorry but I wrote that "I completely understand that price". I meant that it is little pricy FOR ME considering it will works only for NX cameras (as there will be no other NX cameras in future). That is all... I really admire you for your great work. Please let me know what is crop factor of you speedbooster.

The best thing is that you will have one ND filter for all lenses that you will use with speedbooster no matter lens diameter. It would be great but question is additional price and if there is enough space to add another glass element. Honestly - 500 bucks quite lot for me but I completely understand that price.

Luca, great work! I am happy that it will work with EF mount... From previous post it seems that crop factor is around x1.1 on NX, am I correct? Optics comes from Lens turbo (v.I or v.II) or Metabones SB (Ultra os SB I)?

Luca, do you think that NX speedbooster could be created DIY according your instructions? I mean some kind of paid manual. Or is too complicated? I mean that all existing adapters from different mounts are actually same because of NX mount (same diameter of "hole" where you put the glass element) so there should be no difference if you create speedbooster for Nikon-NX or Canon EF-NX mount? What do you think? I am thinking about Canon EF-NX or Canon FD-NX speedbooster (old canon f1.2 lenses seems to be quite cheaper than Nikons :-)) ... I am just a curious.

Yes :-) it is great! Question is when we will be able to buy one. But it is important that it is possible.... that we can have full frame NX1.

I would wait on Lucabutera. I guess that he somehow stitched together Nikon-NX adapter with optics from Mitakon Speedbooster or Zhongyi Lensturbo... we will see :-)

I have checked the photos and it seems that there is really 50% more of "image" on second photo. Second one is also brighter (there is more light that comes to sensor) with same shutter speed 1/60s (and probably same aperture). Image quality seems to be also good enough. Fullframe NX1!!! YES!!!
