saw this today..they were discussing if it makes mj's dunk look meaningless. the guys (i forget what show it is, but that dude and his dad) were saying there are more props deserved for the guy who took the charge..at least i think that's what they were saying. it was at work and the tv's are muted (restaurant)   i wrestled, so i don't know who is fouling who, but the dunk is insane. sick you got it captured; with a gh2 nonetheless

1080p is a standard for hd video. 1920 (w) x 1080 (h) pixels, progressive frames (16:9 aspect ratio). it doesn't apply to a 4:3 aspect ratio. the gh2 isn't recording 'true' 1080p in 4:3 mjpeg mode.   what happens with a gh2 in the hacked mjpeg mode is that it takes advantage of the 4:3 image size of mjepg recording. the sensor is recording a 4:3 image, while the output file is a 1920 (w) x 720 (h) (2.66:1 aspect ratio). so with an anamorphic lens, this will unstretch the footage in the camera. at least that's the best i understand it, and i may not be explaining it very well...   read this article to see if it helps clear it up at all:   [url="http://www.eoshd.com/content/3515/2-661-for-2x-anamorphic-on-gh2-rebooted"]http://www.eoshd.com/content/3515/2-661-for-2x-anamorphic-on-gh2-rebooted[/url]

with the mjpeg anamorphic hack, you don't need to interpret footage in your nle to get the correct aspect ratio.   if i shoot avchd footage with my 2x anamorphic, i go to 'modify... > interpret footage > aspect ratio > conform to anamorphic 2:1 (2.0)' for every file to 'unsqueeze' the image. if i shoot in the mjpeg mode, i can use the files straight off the card, bypassing the interpreting footage step

  something to do with keeping the size down, iirc. and i think it's safe to say the average person buying a 21.5" imac probably wouldn't be replacing the ram at any point anyways; so why not solder it in and safe a few millimeters i'm pricing out a windows workstation right now. i had thought about the imacs, but for the price i'd rather build my own rig and have more options for later upgrades

OP: are you looking at the 27" or 21.5"? the 21.5" has soldered in memory..the 27" doesn't
