  1. Not surprising....., everything on the Richter scale per usual BTW Good 1st post Dano, welcome to the forum
  2. Goto to the link at top to see how Attila controls iris, I think he uses EOS/Nex with inbuilt iris, a G6 equal is prob available as well
  3. Iris in the boot vignettes above F4... The Cine Xenons price list is on the link I gave, at those prices a decent lens tech can mod your cheapies from Darren, Yorkshire ;) get 20 blade Iris from ebay ;) I am producing the ultimate Guide ($29.95) fully illustrated details on how to make a top quality custom interchangeable mount system for them, to be released in the future.... Also get the Cinelux 2/24mm its a god lens......but hard to find you see more in US listings
  4. Its the Double Gausss flat field which makes them superb ;) Did you know that the SK Cine Xenon for filming use the same glass and formulae? They just fitted an iris behind the front glass element :) Also now available for FF https://www.schneideroptics.com/xenonff-prime/
  5. Hi Andy, I have the complete set of those from 24mm to 100mm in 2.5mm increments, also some older Cine Xenons in longer focal Lengths and some hard to find 65mm format Imax lenses. All of which are F2 The Visionar ist F1.6/100mm - a completely different animal, the Emil Busch series are good too.
  6. because the Bokeh is so strong to not tell the difference :P Copyright Attila - see thread http://forum.mflenses.com/visionar-109mm-f1-6-cine-projector-lens-on-nex-t51470.html
  7. If you are looking for the best achromat for your Sankor, then this is it in Series 7 thread (54mm) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261350865781?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 at 0.7 diopter it will allow close focus from 0.75 to 1.5m - a perfect supplement.
  8. I am looking for information on the lens throw in mm and rotation in degrees of the focus as it goes from far to near. If you have this information for the 36 and 54 series than please drop it here Much obliged :)
  9. It says improved coating. I wonder if this fixes the blue spot issue?
  10. It is a good low cost choice for a beginner in the scope land. Don't forget you can unscrew the small lens hood to reveal a 52mm filter thread - useful if you need to use filters or dioptres. Enjoy !
  11. I have heard some folks complain about the long throw. If this proves troublesome to you I suggest you request the focus thread pitch to be doubled or trebled and a 2 start or 3 start helicoid be cut to suit your preference.
  12. I have seen the Philips Carousel TV in a store and have to admit even 32:9 scope footage looks just great on it, there is something about those black bars which well.... More info on the Philips here '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  13. The purchase of a 40.5mm to 49mm step up ring will resolve your issue and no longer be a cause of annoyance :)
  14. But wait... This is dual focus!!! -- quelle horreur !!! You can't follow focus - zut alors !!! You can't pull focus - quel dommage!!! nice images Seb - keep it up :)
  15. I think the mood is set by the lighting which is very soft and almost shadowless I am thinking KinoFlo plus extra diffusion. The lenses look top end maybe Zeiss MP or SK Cine Xenons for gorgeous creamy bokeh Also perspective is tamed so maybe a longer lens focal length choice than normal
  16. Robots, Androids, Please report to the dancefloor
  17. Way 2 go Tito !!! There is a perfect split dioptre shot at 4:13 ;)
  18. Some folks claim the 3x crop mode is far noisier than 1x mode. Thinking about this, the vertical height in 1x crop mode is obtained from skipping every 2 lines , thus reducing full sensor height to 1/3rd, whereas the 3x crop mode is essentially a contiguous swatch of the central portion of the sensor but also by 1/3rd full height. So essentially both schemes are using a third of the picture height.... So why should the 3x crop mode be more noisy - is there something I am missing?
  19. Hey Francisco,   Tito is right there is no image aspect ratio squeeze, but you can assign an editor to LR. So if you assign PS then edit will take you into PS where you can run a macro then when you shut PS down it takes you back to LR. Of course it doesnt have to be PS it can be any image editor.
  20. Everybody knows the best Photographers are left eye dominant (running the gauntlet  ) So when will Nikon make a LED camera? I am fed up wiping nose oil from the LCD
  21. I had the same problem, also with a Pentax 28mm (they must be haunted  ) You have to get in via the back to pull the pin - its messy
