  1. Twixtor does amazing things to get from 12p to 24p :)
  2.     Yeah, just lick them off and get high :P
  3. Spotted this rare gem, classic looks   http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-OBJECTIF-MINOR-CINEPANORAMIC-PROJECTION-35MM-HYPERGONAR-35/370827772262?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D8117927644461637992%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D370827772262%26
  4. The rings will be squashed under pressure from the step ring at a rate of 0.75mm per turn, go figure :)   so only one o ring required the 5mm thick one
  5. What is your distance Z?   Stack 2 of these will do it   http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-Black-Nitrile-Rubber-O-Rings-NBR-Seal-Grommets-38mm-x-48mm-x-5mm-/310580417872?pt=BI_Heavy_Equipment_Parts&hash=item4850091550
  6. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=10&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=nitrile+rubber+o+ring&LH_PrefLoc=2&_lncat=0&_arm=1&_armm=94&_ruu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2FCameras-Photography-%2F625%2Fi.html%3F_sop%3D10%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3Dnitrile%2Brubber%2Bo%2Bring%26LH_PrefLoc%3D2%26_arr%3D1&_armi=Cameras+%26+Photography     Get a ring for each lens   Don't forget to give me a credit in your movie :P
  7. Ok so the silver name ring is part of the focus ring.     The simplest solution is to screw on the 39/52 step ring tight and screw the lens to the 52mm end.tight   Now unwind the step ring (keeping it locked to the lens) until you have perfect alignment.   Now measure the distance from the black back face of the Moeller to the step ring and call it Z   Now purchase a Nitrile Rubber O -ring of thickness 2 x Z and Inside Diameter 37mm - yes 37mm!   Remove everything and fit the O ring first and then Step ring and then lens until you have a pressure tight fit with perfect alignment
  8. The back with the name on it, is it fixed. ?   If so I might have a soution, please post diameter and depth behind the knurled focus ring
  9. With a 50mm lens behind the scope, take the 1080x1920 footage into post and scale it 0.75x vertically and 1.5x horizontally, then just keep the central 1x bit giving you 810 x 1920, true 2x CinemaScope. This means you cut off the sides where there is vignetting.   I use Zeiss Proxars 0.5D and 1.0D with the Moeller.   A Nikon No.0 0.7D works well too and Sigma Achromat
  10. Some ideas for mounting are here   http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2614-sold-moeller-322x-cinemascope-compact-anamorphot-rig/ http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2398-my-compact-moeller-322x-rig-scope-on-a-rope/   You have to focus on both lenses, and to go wider with a 2x scope you will need to start looking at more expensive 5 figure dedicated units
  11. The Moeller 32/2x CinemaScope lens is known for its sharpness and desirable tonal response. Lenses from 50mm upwards on APS cameras should work fine
  12. Zeiss Flektogon 2.8/35mm is a great choice and focusses down to .18m   I recommend this fully serviced one   http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-CLASSIC-CARL-ZEISS-JENA-FLEKTOGON-2-8-35mm-1Q-/130902773057?pt=UK_Lenses_Filters_Lenses&hash=item1e7a69cd41   Its also Exakta mount so you can do Aperture pulls using a shutter cable
  13. ... and if they manage to get HDD/SSD recording to work then we could be entering a new Golden Era for 2x CinemaScope shooters...
  14. Over at ML, people are reporting stable results with sizes greater than 1080x 1280 with 1000x cards   For a 2x CinemaScope this means you can stretch to 1080x 2560   Then if you scale using a Lanczos scaler by 0.75, you will have a perfect 810x 1920 (2.37:1) and also you will get a colour sampling boost or if you need 2k for projection you can scale accordingly.   This will be my preferred workflow once all the bugs have been ironed out regarding recording >4Gb files.   People are also reporting 5D2 looks more filmlike.   EDIT: Forgot to add that if you do some preprocessing on the moire before the scaling operation it should give significant benefits
  15. There is a thread over at ML http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5470.0   which looks promising in respect of recording to HDD or SSD
  16. Hey Miguel,   I am impressed with the violin short (Timple) that you shot, you captured the light beautifully - did you use silks?
  17. I'm selling another fantastic Cinemascope optic with proper helicoid focussing from 1.5m to INF.   This is super sharp perfect for the new Canon RAW aquisition modes     http://www.ebay.com/itm/130912632953?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649#ht_4338wt_1140
  18. Andrew I tried to contact you some days back anyway this thread explains the problem-> http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2683-anamorphic-lens-yclopedia/page-2#entry34621 thanks
  19. Try putting a cheap strong diopter between scope and WA for testing purposes. You have nothing to lose.   Maybe $5
  20. I'm selling two fantastic Cinemascope optics, both with proper helicoid focussing from 1.5m to INF. These are perfect for the new Canon RAW aquisition modes       http://www.ebay.com/itm/130911437089?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649     http://www.ebay.com/itm/130911437136?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
