Italy is a disaster as you can immagine. There few really talented people have jobs all over the world or in the north of Italy (lot's of industry). To work in Rome os south you have to accept low wages/peanuts even for broadcast work. In fact I quitted faking that I work and started a personal project!

I have a Canon 7D that I use very little. I love little cameras, but when I have the 7D in my hands I really like it. If price was no object I would probably get the new Canon 1D-X mk II. I am very tempted about FF, but my bank account doesn't agree with me!

Do you think the banding could be avoided using an external recorder in ProRes??

I dont' know which is better, but the 5D iii looks more real life to me.

In Italy they say don't bandage your head if you didn't break it!!! Buy your gimbal, test it with your system, if it works great. If not, change something. IS normally helps with microjitter, but you have to test. Sometimes it can disturb the image. You can't know before you try it...

I was thinking zooms, I read photozone.de and Sony zooms test really bad!

Of course, why not?

The adapter is not cheap, but if it does what it says, it is a good investment. It avoids you to buy Sony lenses which are expensive and test pretty bad.

Nice to read different ideas every once in a while! But I must confess most of my treasure findings in YouTube are not viral and probably don't have 1000 views, so I would have find less treasures... The idea of providing everything on libraries is great though!

I don't have one. I would avoid LOG and use something you can directly use. If you are really on a hurry, rent a recorder, so you use ProRes which Macs are optimized for. Not only, they sell you this shit as it was a way to have more possibilities! Just give us one preset that makes the image as what it was the real thing. If you want to go away from that there are infinite possibilities in post to go away. The path to go back from twisted to reality is way harder!!!

G7 has more resolution, use that on tripod and 4K to have a general shot. Operate the GH3 to have close shots.

Selecting AF point by touching the LCD would have been 1000x better in any case!

The secret for a good result is to put a lightweight camera with OIS and the settings on the gimbal.

We talk about image quality all the time, but the truth is we love old lens because of their defects!

In Italy or in Spain, when there is a corruption case, they always say it's a bad apple. But it's not a bad apple, the system doesn't work if you can steal money while being a politician or a high white-collar. It's the same system that makes most business to have adequate. If you competitor pay low-wages, don't pay software and pays with a 6 month delay, it's very difficult you can compete paying good wages, in time, etc. So with the idea of making money, the moral/economic/politic standards are plumbeting...
