  1. Thank you Rudolph. I appreciate your words very much. Go for the GH4, it is a fantastic professional tool and the price is now around 1400$! Izhar
  2. The storm hit Tel Aviv on the weekend. The tension was high. Shot with Panasonic GH4, 4K photo mode (3:2), Rectimascop 48/2X anamorphic lens, Helios 44-2 taking lens. Music by me. Edited with FCPX, graded with FilmConvert.
  3. Hello anamorphic experts, I can't find a decent +0.4 diopter for a reasonable price. I can get the SLR Magic +0.33 diopter for a pretty good price. Can I use it with the Rectimascop 48/2x? Will it focus properly? Thanks! Izhar

  5. 4th anamorphic exercise, now with +1 diopter. Shot in Tel Aviv, Nov. 7, 2014 using a Panasonic GH4 in 4K Photo Mode, 3:2 aspect ratio, Cine D. Lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.4, Rectimascop 48/2x anamorphic. Edited and graded with FCPX.
  6. A couple of short films shot with a GH4 in 3:2 with a Rectimascop 48/2x anamorphic lens. Izhar
  7. Thank you @comurit! I'm actually looking for a less expensive solution for anamorphic monitoring. Maybe one of the better Chinese brands?
  8. Hello, I've been experimenting with shooting anamorphic video on my GH4 in 4K photo mode, using a Rectimascop 48/2x adaptor. The more I shoot, the more I see the need to monitor the unsqueezed video in real time, for better control of composition and focus. Can anyone recommend an HDMI field monitor, 5" to 7", with the ability to stretch the video width x2? Many thanks, Izhar
  9. The GH2's learning curve was almost flat, especially with the high bitrate hacks. I learned to get great results in a matter of days. The GH4 is a different beast altogether. I've had it for over 4 months and I'm in a constant process of learning how to shoot great video, learning new tricks everyday. During the past week, I've been experimenting with a Rectimascop 48/2x anamorphic lens. I'm glad I've waited all these months before buying it, getting to know the camera and it's behaviour and of course the great new 4K photo mode. Anamorphic on the GH4 is what I've wished for since being seduced by the DSLR revolution, over 4 years ago. There's still so much to learn, but here are a couple of my first tests.
  10. Hello, During the past week, I've been testing my new Rectimascop 48/2x anamorphic lens with my GH4. Here's the third test, shot on the road. Shot in Tel Aviv, Oct. 25th, 2014 using a Panasonic GH4 in 4K Photo Mode, 3:2 aspect ratio, Cine D. Lenses: Helios 44/2 58mm, Rectimascop 48/2x anamorphic. Music by Jimi Hendrix. Edited and graded with FCPX.
  11. I've been testing it for a week and it looks very promising!
  12. Andrew, thank you for this mouthwatering review. I can't wait for my Black to arrive. Izhar
