Hahaha, agreed!

I think I remember user Francisco Rios, on this forum, was willing to sell his. But this was a while back, maybe it's gone already.
-
I'm not familiar with the seller, and haven't bought anything from him. Actually, I tend to trust on what people are saying, and got pretty lucky with that so far. hahahaha. I can't even notice the markings on his photos, and, I bet that he tried to show it somehow. You can ask him for sample images, but with all attention around it, I think it will be sold in a day or two - I mean, it was listed yesterday and had four offers already. Somebody will soon have the guts to buy-it-now.

short scene with Iscorama 36 + Blackmagic Pocket

This looks good! Thanks for the tip! I think I`ll just ask them for a different "rear" part, so the lens can fit in, instead of screwing. -
if it doesn't show up in the final image, it's good enough for me, specially at this price. hahaha. I'd say it's cheap because the seller isn't fully aware of the anamorphic market nowadays.

I'm working on a couple chapters for a webseries, shot on ML Raw and anamorphic. First episode using a 50D and a LOMO Foton-A (37-140mm), and the second episode using Iscoramas (pre-36 and 54) on a 5D3. Surprisingly, during shooting, the 50D crashed a lot more than the 5D3, but the 5D3 gave me much more pink/weird frames than the 50D - using the very same Lexar 1000x cards. The first episode will be online on the 25th (maybe earlier) and I'll post it here for comments. Also, while during tests, the LOMO disappointed me a lot, but after reviewing everything we shot for real, I'm in love with the lens - and also hunting for a wider, 30mm squarefront. If anyone is selling one of these, please get in touch! (OCT19 preferred).

Another question about the rehousing: how does the alignment work? I'm considering asking Van Diemen to see if they can come up with a 15mm rod support solution - eliminating alignment forever -, instead of 58mm rear threads. Something like this link below, which lets the taking lens much closer to the rear optic, and speeds up lens swapping - it takes several minutes to replace the taking lens and align it properly! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anamorphic-iscorama54-Arriflex-28mm40mm100mm-T21-lens-set-/131042334425 -
Replied to denko through PM, but if anyone else is looking for a Iscorama, I'm selling my 54 MC for 2200 euro, paypal only. Shipping is on me. :) It includes a Redstan clamp, a couple adapter rings (49 and 55-67mm), as well as lens caps. Glass and mechanics in great shape - pictures here: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/gallery/album/50-iscorama-54-mc/

Mine's the real 'pre-36'. Smaller rear element, and no mention of the number anywhere on the lens.
-
This is explained in the very first post of the thread! you should check it! :) The diopter strength defines the maximum focus distance, but minimum distance might vary according to the lens.
-
In quality, I'd say no. But their strength is different. The tokina focuses from ~1m to 2.5m (+0.4 strength), while the Canon goes from ~0.3m to 0.5m (+2 strength)

The title says it all. :P Century doublet, 72mm, +2, I'd say it performs pretty much like the Canon 500D, which has great image quality. Looks a bit heavier, though. Price is a bit too high, as you can get the Canon, used, for about $100. :)

I don't think I even understood your question, dude!
-
Mine is still available. :)

There's a slight chance that I go to NYC tomorrow, and back to Brazil on Friday. :P I'm not taking any gear, but would love to talk! hahha

Latest music video: Anamorphic zombies on hacked 50d
Tito Ferradans replied to OzNimbus's topic in Cameras
I can shoot continuous at 1344x1008px, on the 50D, the Mk3 can shoot continuous 1920x1280px, which is goddamn huge and eats through tons of cards. :P -
WTF?! That's just a Panny in front of a 24-70 or 16-35! Nothing new there...

Every time I see this video, and the title, I think it'll be the cutest thing ever, with baby cats fighting. :P

Latest music video: Anamorphic zombies on hacked 50d
Tito Ferradans replied to OzNimbus's topic in Cameras
I just shot with a LOMO Foton A last weekend, also raw, and also 50D, and had A LOT of trouble as well. Just a few times I had problems with continuous, but the camera crashed every now and then, and took a little while to get it running again. I was using a build from mid September Even with all the problems, I didn't get any pink or corrupted frames. As soon as the short is ready, I'll post it here too. :) -
Brilliant! HAHAHAH! :D
-
@Bioskop Being honest, I'm almost completely out of the video and photography world. Anamorphics are the only thing keeping my camera alive! So, I'll be happier with the smaller gear I can get. I'll do some extra research about the rehousing too. A lot of lenses and close ups and lenses should leave my place soon (and I will avoid creating thousands of threads here with this purpose hahaha) :P @tony I'm interested in this new adapter! Please tell me when it's ready. :)

I'm considering the idea of selling my Isco54 and using part of the cash to pay for VanDiemen's rehousing on my pre-36. The 54 I have isn't nasa, and I very much prefer the image results I get on the 36. Anyone strongly advises me not to do it? (I'm looking for second, third, etc, opinions)

ebay hunting has always been a good option! http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2570-the-diopter-thread/page-5#entry38563 Maybe this one can help you, it's 60mm... Maybe you should get a +0.5, but a doublet will always be expensive, unless the seller doesn't know what it does (and that is still quite common).
