    The main reason why prices are going up is because there are people willing to pay them.   I got a pair of iscomorphots recently. One wasn't good looking, so I sold it cheap - $300 -, but the other one is in great shape. Seeing these listings only gets me willing to sell it for more. :P   People aren't patient to get a bargain anymore, definitely. So anyone with anamorphics to spare is selling them at top prices. At some time (we hope), the lenses are gonna stop changing hands and things are gonna calm down.

    No, and they actually look SMALLER than they are. One day I saw a listing with a hand holding the lens. That was the day I stopped even considering to use one of these. :P

    The guy from this video - - mentions a B+W +0.25 67mm, so I think the +0.5 was made in this same batch, to a very specific lens. Maybe they weren't sold separately, and that's why you can't find them on B+W website, but that's only a wild guess. :)

    It's pretty much the same, but bigger optics (better), and stronger construction (better too).     Hey Wilco!   Let's start with lens pairing: I use my Isco combined with russian glass (Helios 44, Jupiter 9 and Tair 11). Never needed anything other than these three, and never had any problems regarding image quality. The Helios and Jupiter have a "trick" to identify the single coated version: they are the ones with the "finger" dents on the focus ring. The perfectly round bodies are already MC (or at least, I read that somewhere and did work for me).   Desqueezing live works, but since it eats a lot of camera processing power, this will end up limiting how many frames you can get while raw recording. I would suggest using an external monitor for the desqueeze, like Zacuto's, SmallHD, or the one that best fits your budget. If you're not recording raw, but h264 or still photos, ML's desqueeze is a great tool. Too bad it doesn't work in playback. :(

    Hey Rob, great looking video, man! :)   I have a couple questions for you, if you don't mind. hehehe   1 - Why are the longer lens takes way less contrasty than the rest? Almost hazy. Problems with the taking lens, or it's done on purpouse?   2 - How come some shots the whole background seems to be shaking? Most closes of Kjeld's face on the slackline, and one near the end as well. Stabilization done on post? :)

    About the external monitor, I tested today both Small HD DP6 and Zacuto's EVF, with 2x stretch. Both worked perfectly, but also shows more image than you're actually recording. They show raw's square, so you gotta use it as a base, but I couldn't find a way to "get rid" of the unrecording area, when previewing.

    There were some of these on ebay a while ago, sold cheap. It's a monster, in terms of size and weight, and I DEFINITELY believe wouldn't be adequate to put this in front of any camera smaller than a refrigerator.     Don't worry about lenses much brighter than f/2.8, since it will be unusable with anamorphics. My longest lens is a Tair 11 (135mm f/2.8), which works great with Iscos and used to shine with the Kowa.   I had a Sankor 16D, and it was a good pair with any 85mm, on the 5D3.     Getting my 50D tomorrow morning, I'll test it with external monitor and lots of anamorphics in the upcoming days. :)

    Tested the +0.25 diopter thing, and it worked great for close focus, from about 1m to 2-3m. I still don't understand how this happens, optically, but it DOES work.
