Acrobatic, or single element?
-
actually, he told me he still has a few in stock, but doesn't wanna sell them, just trade. He asked me about clay pots (I'm from Brazil, and these pots are quite common in some regions), but I can't find any the he likes, so, I'm thinking of just selling my 8/19/1.5x. :P

Hey guys! I got a bit confused with your posts. heheh Matthew, you're gonna try the video modification, or working on the sketches below it? The video isn't mine, I just like the way it works. The sketches, on the other hand, are mine. Anyway, please update us as you go on developing your ideas! For me, the project is currently on hold, as I'm graduating by the end of the year and have a ridiculously big ammount of work ahead. :P

Dude, POWERPOINT?! That's freaking awesome! The whole animation is great, and the flares are incredible. I definetely agree on that.

The strength of the diopter (X) fits in the simple math below: 1m/X = maximum focus distance (Y). Y/2 = minimum focus distance So, this way, a +0.5 diopter covers the 1-2m focus range, where most anamorphics fall short, and most regular shots are set. :) I'll disagree, but it's not easy to say so. My Isco came with a 100mm fixed focus lens, for projection. The thing about is: flange distance is huge. It means that, to reach infinity focus, the lens must be much farther away from the sensor (this 100mm of mine reaches infinity about 2cm outside the EF mount (~66mm). So, if you're into free-lensing, or lens whacking, your projector lens might be cool to use. I wouldn't use it with any anamorphics, though, because keeping the whole thing aligned, while loose is nearly impossible. :P

Jesus! I've been staring at the pictures of these all day and didn't notice it! Thanks! But now another question: in what does that change its quality/performance?

Guys, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but since there are many people talking here, could anyone tell me the difference between the 16/32/1.5x and the 32/1.5x? In pictures, they look exactly the same, but the numbers are different. :( Also, how much does one of these little things weight? thanks! :D

I was gonna post BEFORE they ended, but traffic was hell. In case the seller relists, here's a couple links for big acrobatics. Century Optics +1.6 86mm (acrobatic) http://www.ebay.com/itm/111095103583 Century Optics +2.6 86mm (acrobatic) http://www.ebay.com/itm/111095103079

Bioskop, I think you mean the 62mm one, that`s +1.6 and achromatic. The 72mm are usually +1, and both are still quite cheap. That's it. From now on, I'm never writing achromatic again. Just acrobatic. It's muuuch more apropriate, and enhances their quality and performance! hahahahahahaha :D

If you want to understand diopters, check their thread! hahaha http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2570-the-diopter-thread/ almost everything covered. :)

My Bolex arrived today, and it looks incredibly nice, but I'm having some trouble releasing (what I believe to be) the projection accessories in the back of the lens. They're attached to the rear threads, highlighted red on the picture below. I hope there's a smart solution, help! :)

Unfortunately, they're both sold out. I tried to get one for my new 8/19/1.5x, and he told me that. :(

Yeah, I already bought stuff, not here, but on DVX User, but sold multiple lenses here. Never had any stress with it, no bidding, nothing. Price described, as well as any important information about the lens and LOTS of pictures of the very same lens. I even skyped with buyers to show packing and get information about customs values. I don't think selling should be forbidden, but the rules are much better now. :) (and, before I started selling, I had some time reading and replying around. I think that's a MUST.)

recommendations for telephoto for anamorphic
Tito Ferradans replied to silvertonesx24's topic in Cameras
I would suggest the ones Bioskop mentioned. They're great with any anamorphics. :) -
I have a Canon 500D, it's a +2 achromatic, but I got the 72mm version, that fits all my lenses. The 77mm would need step ups. Also, don't buy it new, as you can get it for about half the price when used. It just takes a while to show up. :) Not exactly macro, but something in the 0.5m focal range. Extreme close ups and such. hahahah

Hahahaha! Great shot! It's +0.4, to be precise. Exactly like the Tokina.
-
I'm in. :P

Yeah, I also expected it to be bigger (the photo from the listing looks bigger). I can't tell you for sure, I've never used any of these lenses...

Aparently, Leica isn't very organized with its closeups. I found this: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/ELPRO and this: http://photo.net/leica-rangefinders-forum/002myZ In the first links, there are two different results for the VII A (with the 90mm and with the 135mm), both pretty close to +1. No information on the threads, though. Googling about them, I found out that both have 55mm threads, so, I believe there's only one kind of VII A, and its result differs between lenses (not sure why that happens, but the variation is very slight). According to this - http://***URL removed***/forums/post/50777111 - the VI, are achromatics, so I believe the VIIs are too. (all other ELPROs are) In just one line, it looks like a 55mm thread, +1, leica achromatic close up.

I haven't used it in a rig yet. Alway do handheld work, and it's great. of course, your arms will get tired rather fast. hahaha mine matches very nicely with russians. :)

Now Available: Custom Taking Lenses for Anamorphot's
Tito Ferradans replied to richg101's topic in Cameras
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121116928980 people are already copying your idea? -
"If you're after close up filters add '95mm Focar A' & '95mm Focar B' to your list of Ebay saved searches - these are vintage Voigtlander +1 & +2 diopters. I believe they were made to suit an early Voigt zoom lens and are quality plus. I say this because I just picked up a mint 95mm Focar B for $50!" @Zmu posted this on this other thread: http://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/2632-iscorama-54-filteroption/#entry36165

I believe @bootsie is using a +0.4 with his 54, and some stepping rings, but it vignettes, on wider lenses. Safest bet would be bigger filters. Also, now that you mentioned, I think mine is, indeed, a bit softer than the 36... But it was never serviced, and this might be the cause too.
