  1. ah I was looking at it on my phone I didnt see the difference but I would highly recommend the redstan clamps. I have the back and front ones for my Kowa 16 and they work really really well.
  2. It looks like you have a Redstate clamp on there so just get the filter clamp and you are all set. It is a 72mm which my diopters fit and then get cheap step up rings for like 72-77 or 72-82
  3. Thanks Tony, it sucks that everyone doesn't have you as a great resource. I bet it will go for a really high amount. It's a neat version of the lens I never knew existed. The larger rear element is interesting and whatever the 10mm lens is is also quite interesting. Ill do a search on this seperation on the elements seems like a pretty big problem.
  4. Forgot to mention its a 10mm Fmount taking lens in cmount and a detachable from Iscorama lens. Super I retesting what do you guys think?
  5. C mount Iscorama on eBay. Might be a good fit on the black magic pocket camera? http://bit.ly/105v5Ty
  6. Totally agree with you guys. I got lucky and snapped up the Iscorama posted here that came with a tokina 0.4 and 2 sets of 1,2 and 4 diopters. T sucks to pay so much but they never show up on eBay so I guess they are rare enough....
  7. Tokina diopter in aus http://bit.ly/151P0Hl eBay shared link
  8. Hi Tim. Thanks for the kind words. I am planning on doing some tutorials on compositing but now that you have requested this I will also run through some grading as well. It won't happen for a little while though, I'm currently on my way to Maui! But I will look into setting some stuff up on my site and link a tutorial here on Eoshd if I'm allowed to link it.
  9. love your responses too Tony lol, I know that it was mainly their sensor supplier issue but I also know that our BM rep has them in stock now. They also say that they have a different supplier for both the 4k and pocket cams so hopefully they learned on that one. Metabones delayed the m4/3 speed booster too dammit.
  10. Let me rephrase that I was in a rush out the door. I've owned the d4 and d800, tested the d800e and sent my feedback to Nikon about these cameras that they did tout video capabilities. There is no reason that these cameras could not have focus peeking so if they are not listening then I'm not pushing anymore. The black magic cameras are amazing and very affordable so I may be a laugh a minute lol but I'm just trying to chase the perfect kit a d I believe I'm close. I use these cameras onset a lot to capture plates, hdri's effects to use in post so 36mp stills and a pocket raw video cam is amazing for me. I'd love a Ted or Alexa but can't afford it lol
  11. not bragging about these cameras just saying how much more kit would I want to put into a DSLR when the pocket camera is going to be a better choice for video, then rent the 4K or epic with dragon when getting paid for it.
  12. lol, I know they take awhile but Ive used the BMCC already, I test them as well as buy them. Im NPS with nikon and work in film so I jump lines a bit. I think Im number 1 on the list for the Pocket here in Vancouver anyways. I havnt really jumped ship as much as not trying to push DSLR video any further. It is what it is with those cameras I need something I can pull a key on lol and h264 or uncompressed out of the HDMI port both do not really give great results. but I will still use it Im ust excited to put the iscorama on the pocket camera with the speedbooster later this year! Hopefully im not let down waiting too much lol
  13. Thanks guys, I'll check them out. Its hard to jump on it right now because Ive jumped ship and preordered the Black Magic Pocket camera which has at least peaking for focus. Maybe after I get it I'll look into these options for the desqueezed monitoring. THe evfs/monitors look awesome. Im using the hyperdeck for hdmi recording but man is that thing heavy with the plate on the bottom.
  14. Damn you canon guys, I wish they were working on the D80/D4 too lol. Magic Lantern rocks, if a company wont do it IM glad someone will, looks great! Canon should be hiring you not fighting it.
  15. please find out I would be very interested in working something out with you.   thank you Rob
  16. yeah I have heard it is mostly a basic nikon 50mm 2.8 converted to the different mounts. The m42 pentax practica mount just wont reach infinity on nikon mount. My whole lens collection is based around an fmount system which puts me a a disadvantage but allows all my glass to mount to anything. So all my fmount glass can go to the m4/3 stuff but not much can go on fmount. so for anyone else m42 will work with eos systems etc but I just need an fmount back. I just wanted a nice complete system i could use on my d800 and m4/3 system but it may end up that I have to buy another iscorama unless someone is willing to trade or part with it.    Maybe someone will take advantage of my situation and take something along with the m42 lens for the something in fmount. Im not saying its an ideal situation to be in but its where I am. Im fine without it and the m42 lens will just sit in the cupboard but Im a crazy person wanting it lol
  17. Im not looking to get rid the iscorama though. Im looking to get rid of the m42 mount taking lens and acquire the fmount version
  18. lol, i just want to have the nikon mount to make it easy for me. but the helios works well too
  19. Here are some photos of the taking lens. The lens is in perfect condition, the aperture ring is nice and smooth except when you turn it back to open it up to 2.8 it gets a little tight. Ive already talked to Bernie at Super 16 Inc (New York) and he is going to fix that before the trade would happen.
  20. Hello everyone, I bought an iscorama set in m42mount, I was trying to hold out for a nikon Fmount version but this deal was too good to pass up.   Ive got other taking lenses but I like the compactness of the kit. The included taking lens is a nikon 50mm 2.8 that comes with the iscorama but I shoot nikon.   Anyways I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trading or selling or something to get me over to the Nikon Fmount version.   If you are shooting on canon or other it either would not be an issue for you its just to get the fmount would make this easier for me being a Nikon shooter.   To reiterate its the included taking lens thats set to infinity not the anamorphic part.    Just putting out a feeler let me know if you are interested in setting up some sort of deal. Thanks Rob
  21. np dude, I use the car thing a lot. Really good for filming your friends running away from dino's lol   http://vimeo.com/56787433
  22. I use the Nikon D800 which has S35 crop mode on it and it comes in handy sometimes especially with the 2X. I used the D4 and found it slightly better but they are both still 8bit h264 crap dslrs. After using the BMCC its hard to go back so Im really waiting to use these on the mft model and pocket cameras with a speedbooster. Exciting times!
  23. the iscorama's are known for it and you can rack its just has a really long turn on the focus ring and they came from the factory as tight as mine so its hard to do during a take. Like you cant crank the focus fast from one spot to another.   I have found that the helios is the best, I have a nikkon 501.4D but its multicoated. Im also looking at an early nikon 50 1.4 nikkor-s. If you can find one without the C like Nikkor-sc then its not multicoated. Im also looking at getting a set together. I have the russian MIR24N 35mm F2 which is a cheap sweet 35.   Right now the guys at Dog Schidt optiks are making my 2 helios conversion lenses I'll be sure to post some stuff when I get them.
  24. I have the Kowa 16H / 8Z, I was thinking of trading up to the Bell and howell but im not sure if its necessary. I also have an early iscorama so I have 2X and 1.5 kinda covered to play with anyways. Love 2X though has the best look but I'd love to rack...cant really rack with the iscorama either with such tight focus ring.
