  1. A question about the Stabilizer. As far as I understand, we need to select the focal length of the attached lens, right? But for example if I use a manual Super16 20mm lens? Or manual full frame 50mm lens? Which numbers we need to select, in order to get the best stabilization results? And a question about the digital zoom, x2 and x4. When using a manual lens, there is no focus with the digital zoom selected. Does it focus with native lenses, while in digital zoom mode?
  2. I guess Nikon's Flat profile should have more freedom to grade, is it right? And probably D5500 is better in low light with less visible noise?
  3. Metabones? Are there any other alternatives for F-mount Sigma 18-35 f1.8 to the Lumix GX80?
  4. What could you say after comparing it to the Nikon D5500? I attached F-mount Sigma 18-35 f1.8 to Lumix GX80 through the simple Fotga adapter. And how can I change the Aperture in camera now? Thank you.
  5. Thanks, John. My Lumix GX80 arrived today! Wow, there is a lot to learn inside at first... Will post my impressions and a new music video in a week.
  6. If it has no moiré in 4K, then it is good. But if it has, then this would be a highly questionable purchase. I have no tolerance for any kind of moiré. Even the old Nikon D5300 works without such a defect (I would call it).
  7. Moiré artifacts? It would be a nonsense on these days cameras. I'm waiting for a full review about the image quality of this camera and will make a decision then.
  8. I wonder, what is meant by 'Canon-like results' in practice? Which Canon camera? I have never used Canon and have never seen the Canon image, which I would like. So, just curious... Thank you.
  9. Dear Andrew Reid, it is very interesting, how would Panasonic's GX80 footage compare to let's say Nikon's D5300 Flat footage and grading possibilities? Thank you.
  10. 4K recording solution for which camera? For 10bit HDMI output yes, but for that same 8bit HDMI output, why?
  11. Exactly, it would be interesting to see only the "In Body Iamge Stabilization". I would also be using some non-stabilized vintages lenses. And also Sigma 18-35 f.1.8
  12. What picture profiles does the GX80/GX85 have? Are there any dedicated/suitable for video recording and something close to the Nikon's flat profiles capabilities? Thanks.
  13. It almost seems, that "Sony FS5 - why I bought one" is more like a marketing message. The idea of the camera is ok, but at this price, still lacks everything, in order to replace the current tools.
  14. Unfortunately, without LOG Converter or V-Log yet.
  15. Hello all. Here is our new music video, shot on GH4 half a year ago.
  16. Hi, guys. I'm sorry, I know this is an outdated topic, but wanted to share this simple, tourist music video, for which I mostly used my old Nikon D5200 shots from different trips to the beaches.
  17. Hello. We used Nikon D5200 and D5300 for this video.
  18. Dear Andrew. It would be interesting and useful, if you tested a crop mode of Nikon D750 with Sigma 18-35 f1.8 I guess, there are more of us, who are curious about how D750 performs in crop mode, is it the same quality, worse or maybe better? Thank you.
  19. Hello. Does Nikon D750 have a APS-C crop video mode, in order to use Sigma 18-35 F1.8? Thanks 7 Lakes
  20. And here is our first documentary, presented at the Sundance Institute Short Film Challenge. Filmed with Nikon D5300, D5200 and Canon 5D Mark II.

  22. Hello members. Sorry, who already saw our post. Here is our second music video. Filmed with Nikon D5300 and D5200.
  23. Thank you, guys! We didn't use an external recorder. Though it would be interesting to try out. But it is even more interesting how will "Nikon's Hacker" a higher bitrate work for D5300. So, we need to wait. For the video above, we used Nikon Gamma Controls. Grading with LUT's, HyColour and other basic color correction tools in FCPX.
