Now available! The epic 250 page EOSHD Panasonic GH3 Shooter's Guide
nazdar replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
GH3? Its sound like lightyears back from now after all that last camera development. This year was truly interserting and amazing. -
“They don’t care about the product. Their only goal is to extract as much from the business as they can. It’s incredibly short-termist, and greedyâ€. No wonder, videofans are just around 1% of their photo camera sales. They just don’t care. Thank god for such great people like in BM and other companies who love what they do. Cany, Pany and Nikon non-stop moaning fans should know it.

Hack this camera and you will get one of the most wonderfull setups. Sony, leak some code or bury it forever! Nice hardware buried under the pile of mushy pixels.

Are the streaks still razor sharp all over the frame on this pre-production models? Like at 0:06 in your video. -
Canon dont care, they know better. Nikon is still living in their golden cage. They only change when they must. Their engineurs are great, but we can only enjoy fragment from their ideas and developments. Bosses in their suits are suffocating in tight ties and also dont care, they know better. :) I like Sigma with their new lenses which are now better than Canon or Nikon ones :D Wonder when China and Korea start to catch up in camera bussines?

New SLR Magic prototype anamorphic lens footage surfaces
nazdar replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Its really great that somebody finally want to produce the anamorphing lens atachment for the rest of us, but depens on the final price how affordable it will be. It looks good, but I dislike that thin and fragmented look flare what I see here. Oval blue streaks would be lovely. As far as I remember there were only some interesting anamorphic prototypes from Brazil. -
News round-up including a look at the 70D's image quality
nazdar replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Canon 70D, just another Canon Mush-o-Vision camera.   It always surprise me how many hopeless 7D lovers still believe in some change after so many years of zero improvement in APS-C sector. Canon just dont give a f... to their video fans and users, and for very long time. Do you want a better video pic, just buy 5D3 or C100, thats how they think. This mushy video is more than good for you, we know better then you. -

Anybody remembers another homemade German camera long time before first RED hype was announced? It was called Dragon (I guess) and it has 720p chip and made beautifull 12 bit 4:4:4 videos. Or Greek Drama camera from Otis from DVXuser with same Kodak chip as Ikonoskop? -
Its funny when they show development of new raw camera or raw hack like everybody is instantly ordering or selling without waiting how this camera or hack will really perform in all aspects. What a hype :) Before it was like only few wanted to be guinea pigs with first generation of gadgets and now you show just first picture without drops from laboratory and crowds are yelling shut up and take my money :)))) Funny times. But I love this RAW hype, we deserve it after long years of fidling with mushy fuzzy pictures and industry crippling cameras. Vive la revolution, vive le ML, vive le camera engineurs!

Now is Nikon turn, they will come with stable D800 RAW video with SSD module and articulated LCD. :))))))) If they will do it, and thay can because they have no video division, they will cut very deep cut in Canons trunk and create lot of headake to their droid management. But that will be not so important as how many freaky happy customers they will get. ;o) Yes Nikon do it! :D Then they can start to cinevise Nikon glass. ;-) ... and add some anamorphic beast glass with orgasmic lens flares :)) Film is dead and h.264 too :D

Yep I also remember this year old interview with Nikon manage about 4K capability of V1 sensor. And I was all why the hell is he saying that? These companies only show finished real products and dont tease like Jim Janard :)
